I woke up through out the night more nightmares. But still got up at 345 was able to go to the bathroom and snooze till 5 then in to the mag by 630. No shot for me today. Put air in all the petes tires and moved the TPS to the proper tires. They just screw onto the valve stem. 120 in all tires and my display is showing the proper locations. 

Might give my BIL a hand with his car today but I may also dip out early and work at getting my fog/flood lights on the S10.

Got up at 0330 CST.  Trying to decide which Fräulein gets to go out on the patio.  I guess I could go back out with my R9 like yesterday.

Or I could build a target stand that I've been considering.

Yep... the very best of plan flexibility and the total disappearance of urgency... about anything.
For example.. This morning Betty Lou said that today was President's Day and there would be no mail. My response was.. "So?"

I have to work the real job today until 5.  I'll probably start addressing the headlights and trim bezels on my 94 F-150; I'm at the final stages of getting it ready for inspection.  We'll be doing some grocery shopping after work. 

I have a small mountain of projects; the rear brakes on the Element, choosing tires for the CR-V, fixing a gifted-to-us Yamaha gas-powered golf cart, and getting the 32" Cub Cadet 2-blade walk-behind mower transmission pulled.  The internet is good for some items but others require a tool in my hands and some sweat equity.  I can't complain- not at all!



@Bill and the rest of you- my bro-in-law is a senior muckety-muck at Dominion Power, he's said the same things.  Weeds and squirrels cause more than 90 per cent of non-severe-weather outages.  I've taken some LONG walks with my HomePro 22T Shindaiwa line weedwacker on ours and all the nearby properties.  We're talking in excess of 1 mile each way, but lemme tell ya, the contractors who put in our power pole expressed a hearty thanks that somebody took the time to keep the poles clear of creeper, ivy, and weeds.

Taking a break from the freeze damage pruning project to get something to eat. Working on getting the blueberries cleaned up and smilax and climbing fern pulled out of them. Just get stuff cleaned up so I can mow around everything without something getting in my face doing it. I will not have the chance to prune the grapes back this year, they are already breaking out. Finish planting vegetables for the spring and early summer.

Suppose to get hit with rain and snow starting Tuesday night and run through Sunday. 😡🤬😡🤬  I know we're suppose to be in a drought but enough rain and snow already.

It is winter at my place.
So I got things ready for the next big winter storm.
It snowed today and will snow tomorrow.
The real heavy snow hits Wed, Wed nite and Thurs.
The forecast is for blizzard like conditions with strong winds and cold temps.

On the Bright side, we should be back to the mid thirties by Monday.

I can't imagine having to blow snow every few days, that's like mowing grass in the summer except it is freezing butt cold doing it. One cold snap around here is enough. Trip to the post office this morning to get the mail, fishing rod guides, thread, and rod varnish is in and the usual junk mail that clutters up my mail box. Finish some woodworking and tree pruning. I have one citrus tree that is blooming right now and does not have on leaf on it, there is new growth on it but no fully open leaves. I didn't think that it would do that with it knocked back so hard. Just never what plants will do to survive.

It is supposed to hit 70 today, but Saturday I'll likely be in snow.

I'll be working today behind the screen, just like every day, but I hope to wrap up the final items on the F-150 and maybe even drop it off this afternoon for inspection on lunch plus a couple breaks.  I also need to sharpen several chainsaw blades.  The little 10" polesaw chains wear out pretty fast, but that's expected given how much more "action" each cutting tooth gets compared to my 18" chainsaw.  I sharpened one in a square grind and it cut like a madman but it also wore out faster- a simple semi-chisel grind seems the ideal compromise between speed and longevity on the gnarly grain of the hardwoods.

Otherwise, I may get into doing some drywall/sanding later.  When weather allows, I tend to be outside working on the outdoor stuff.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! Up at 0500 CST. Walked the dog and had 2 cups o’Joe. I’m getting ready for work, I have 5 hvac units on the ground to evaluate. This site, I know works when everything is 100%. Should be a better day than the last one I did on Friday, where nothing worked.

I just got off the phone with Mike at MRodAir. He has the fiber rings I need for my MKII compressor and is sending them to me. So I'm going to open that up today.
I fired it up yesterday and it fooled me.. It built great pressure several times... until it didn't. 
It struggled to get to 3k on the 3rd time filling the Gauntlet.

This is such a great time of year for Crappie (Sac-a-Lait) fishing - big/heavy fish, no bugs, and only a few other fishermen to compete with.  I really enjoyed fishing the Atchafalaya Basin during the winter months.

I slept from about 2:30 AM until 7:20 AM, got up at 8:00 AM

I am feeling a bit tired still, but I'm up and got my coffee. 

  It looks like we have a dynamic week of weather forecast ahead of us! Mostly sunny skies today will give way to clouds and likely rain by late today/early Wednesday, then a winter weather advisory will begin on Wednesday. Wednesday night we'll see more rain and even the chance of snow and snow showers until Thursday morning with a wind advisory also during that time period.   The rain and chance of snow will continue through the upcoming weekend.
  It is likely we will have snow stick nearby but near instant melts at my place. And it looks like another storm front will follow next week.

 I should mow this morning, our 10 day forecast is showing some precipitation every day, I don't want to though ..... I guess I will...

Coffee is down the hatch and I'm waiting for time to leave for an eye appt.  I have a pretty good sized bump/cyst on my left eyelid that needs checked out.  I'll be restringing a banjo and possibly throwing a few lead pellets with an air rifle later.  It's bright and blow outside at the moment.  This is day #3 of my 3 day weekend.  I'm already feeling that angst of starting the work week grind....

Wife followed me to the gas station so I could drop the F-150 off for inspection.  It's been started dozens of times over the last few weeks, and of course, after filling both tanks, she refused to even CLICK when I turned the key.  I left the ignition on, popped the hood, and arced the solenoid, drove the truck the rest of the way, and told the shop people to address that.  They knew I already rebuilt the head, replaced the balljoints, both tanks, both fuel pumps, repaired all the read wiring, replaced the front lights and bezels, repaired the exhaust... so they were surprised when I told them to take care of the non-start issue.  I told the guy my time is valuable enough to share the wealth. 

So hopefully - with a minor repair- included- I'll have the old beater back on the road and hauling arse stuff.
