Musta had some type of infection or what not... I've had nasal blockage and my right ear sounded like I was under water for the past couple days. I woke up soaked in sweat last night and feel much better this morning.

Good morning all! I got up a little later today, 6:50 AM. It is warmer than yesterday, 37° at 7:28 AM. I was just about to look at the temps earlier and the power went off, well I thought it did. It turn out that the breaker to my office part of the house flipped, it's really weird because the circuit should not have been overloaded.  I have no idea what happened. Without leaving my office I assumed the whole house was off and was in the process of shutting down my computer to save the UPS battery, when my wife came in and informed me that just part of the house was off. 
 I went out to the breaker box and found and flipped the breaker back on and it has stayed on.

  I have to prepare the wedding ceremony first today as I didn't do it yesterday, and we have the rehearsal this evening. 
  We have areas in front of the Ch**ch building that are covered with red stepping stones, I plan on spraying some weed killer in the cracks between the stepping stones and in some cracks in the asphalt parking later today too.

 I will be busy most of the day.

It's coming down a natural frog strangler out there!  The skies have opened and it is pouring rain.  This ends gardening for the day and the memsahib is curled up in her chair with the cat in her lap watching the tube.  I'm dragging out my foul weather gear and deciding which air rifle to carry into the woods.

The nice thing about being a hunter gatherer is it gives you lots of options.  If I don't see any tasty critters I might spot an edible fungus or some other wild food.  It's perfect weather for mushrooms.

When I got up this morning it was a mite chilly at -7 F.
It has warmed up to a nice sunny +20 F today.
I have been out shooting these 3 rifles.
1. 22cal Crosman Summit Ranger.
2. 22cal Crosman Redtail.
3. 22cal Crosman Diamondback.

All three are very quiet and backyard friendly.
Of these three rifles, the Redtail is the quietest.

The accuracy on the new Diamondback is coming along nicely.
It is beginning to become broken in now.
I have been picking off oak leaves, that are on top of the snow in my backyard, with the Diamondback.
The ranges have varied from 25 yards out to 35 yards.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! I got up around 0430 CST. No real plans for today. I’ve got some stuff I’d like to do, but I’m not sure yet. I think it’s because we got spoiled with warm temperatures and then it got cold again. It’s only 28* right now. It should warm up later to near 50* or so. Maybe later on I’ll shoot an airgun.

Good morning John! Happy Saturday to you as well! I got up around the same time, my usual 0430 CST. No real plans for me today either; it's currently 25° here but like your forecast it's supposed to warm to 50-52° by 1600 so I may shoot some the afternoon.

Mornin'  I woke up at around 4:45 then got up, made coffee and fed the dogs. I put the recorded truck race on. They stopped it for rain last night so I hit the record and went to bed. Unfortunately they never got back to racing and called the race with 20 to go. They did report that most all tracks 1 mile or less will run in the rain this year with rain tires. That makes me happy.
I took the opportunity to get in Betty Lou's kitchen while she was asleep and fire up the Apple Pie mixture for the Happy Pie Creek Water. It didn't take lone for the whole house to begin smelling like grandma's kitchen on an Autumn afternoon. It also didn't take long for Betty Lou to get up and ask what I was doing...  "What does it smell like I'm doing?". I had to run interference to keep her from dinking around with my recipe. She has real bad habits of doing that.
I brought it to a boil, pulled it off the heat and headed for the shower. Now the wait begins for it to naturally cool to room temp so it don't burn off the alcohol when added. Letting it cool naturally also lets it really absorb the cinnamon stix. I've taken my time in tweaking this recipe and folks seem to love it. Everywhere I go folks either ask me about airguns or happy pie creek water. That always amazes me, a transplanted Yankee in the heart of 'creek water' country.

Woke up to howling winds this morning, wind chill of 26 and winds gusting to 30, ouch. Do indoor stuff until it warms up a little. Get the melting pots warmed up to switch out the lead in the 10lb pot to the 20lb pot, the 10lb will be used for fishing sinkers, the new 20lb pot for air gun ammo since I am casting larger stuff now and requires more lead to cast them. I got lucky on Ebay last night and found a cast net weight mold, it doesn't have the insert but that is an easy fix, they will be 1oz which makes it easier to balance out the net. I don't mind using the commercial made nets but some of them don't open right at times, not enough brail lines to make it bag right, or have to much weight for the size of the net. I tie the nets for fun, they help the hands and fingers stay flexible on days when I am stoved up.

Nah... they already race all the road courses in the rain. They have a 'kit' for rain racing including tires, a wiper and lights. Just as slicks don't work in rain, treaded tires wear out quick on dry pavement. It will be up to the crews to decide when to change back and forth. That adds a whole new element to the outcome.
I am looking forward to this racing in the rain.. I absolutely hate rain delays and officials calling off a race due to rain. Essentially you have officials determining the outcome just like they do in football and other sports. Way too much game fixing if you ask me.
I get it though, people actually die in motor sports.

I keep seeing these commercials on TV about the self steering/driving cars. I like cruise control from time to time but even that stuff breaks down. A failure in a self steering car is a whole different monster..
Nope Nope Nope.
Oh, and those self parking cars?  Yeah, if you can't parallel park, may I suggest calling an Uber.

BUT...
 Hoosier Momma is so sly.
This morning I woke up to a full slab of Ribs thawed in the sink, along with a log of my venison summer sausage, Cheese tray in the fridge, and a fresh box of Trisects on the counter.
All on "display"!
 When I asked why, on the night of the Beast Feast she said " you can have the left overs tomorrow".
I think she wants me to stay home tonight... I can take a "not so suitable" hint!

Drat... Drat... Double DRAT!
 1)  Free wildlife dinner and a sermon with a chance to win a new gun
 2)  A night with my wife with good food and potential "brownie points"

I doubt the self driving cars will ever be a big thing for So CA freeway drivers/commuters. How are they going to program the cars computer system to be as stupid and make lane changes that make no sense? I can't see the dumb drivers that are the problem allowing the system to work, they will switch it off to get one spot ahead. It may work if the driver has to wear a virtual reality goggle that shows them they are passing everyone.

Mornin Y'all.  Last day of my vacation.  First thing tomorrow I'm gonna march into the bosses office and request another two weeks off next month.   I might help the memsahib in the garden today or I might just hi myself to the woods!  I'm only eighty or so miles east of Kris but our weather here is much milder today.  Sunny with temps in the fifties.  Momma is gonna want to go for a boat ride today for sure but that will be this afternoon.

Just came in from outside... it's cool out there but the sun is shining brightly... it may hit 60 today. But being from the North all my life.. 60 is a good temp. I happen to really like hoodie and work boot weather.
