Late start this morning. Today is paint the new door on the chicken coop door. Make carpenter bee traps before the little buggers wipe my porch out. Clean up some of the mess in the yard. Prune fruit trees and prep sites for new ones.

Good one Robert, thanks for the smile. The original door had disintegrated to the point of no return. I have to get this one painted while it's dry before the next rain, need this door one to last me a while. I will have to block the coop entrance to pen part so I don't have to worry about a chicken getting wet paint all over them. It's bad enough they are covered in mud right now(that's another project), I don't need a muddy picasso  running around as well.

Mornin Y'all.  Pretty good mushroom hunting yesterday.  I collected several tasty specimens!  I'm going back to the woods today and hike another good section of the Florida Trail.  Then I'll piddle around with the garden and probably an air rifle.

Yesterday I got up at 4:00 AM, was up until 9:15 PM, took an hour nap, got up at 10:20 PM, my wife and I then took the family friend from New Mexico to the Palm Springs Train Station, waited there for the train that was running late, we got her on the Train at 1:25 AM and then came home and got to bed at 2:50 AM. I woke up at 8:00 AM when My medication alarm went off.

 In Palm Springs it was 51°F and the wind was blowing sand in the rain . I have been in both sand storms and rain storms there before, that was my first time being in a rainy sand storm. It was very dark in the area around the Train station and the road up to the parking lot was almost covered by drifted/drifting sand. In a couple of spots the center line was barely visible with maybe 2" of sand covering most of each lane.

 This week, rain, with a high of 59° today and tomorrow with a high of 49°, and then remain in cooler temps with highs of 62°F through Saturday, then Sunday it is predicted to get up to 64°F.

 Sunday the 19^th our electricity is scheduled to be off from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for some kind of line maintenance.

Woke up at 7am. Laid in bed until 8:30.  Made cappuccino and lattes.  Read some and now surfing. 

I need to figure a plan for a new outbuilding.  I have needed some more workspace/storage for quite some time but never really wanted to put the money out to do it.  I should have done it years ago but I didn't so here I am...  I'm thinking of a dedicated workshop space maybe 20'x20' or 20'x24'.  I also need to have some electrical upgrades done for the house.  I have a couple estimates but they are $$$.  I could do them myself but it's more about having the time to do it vs. having it done ($).  If is was a rich man man I'd just hire people to do it for me but I'm not.  I don't have the time to do it myself so see my plight? 

I think I'll just chop some more wood, play pool with the kids, throw a few pellets at some steel, and help a co-worker install a butcher block top in his utility room.  I'm already not looking forward to the week ahead, it's schedule is busy, busy, busy....

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! I got up at 0430 CST. Walked the dog and had 2 cups o’Joe… this is starting to become our new routine. Chillie’s too little and too young to just let her out. But, when I’m up, she’s up and everywhere I go, that’s where she wants to be. She’s even gotten in the shower twice and fell in the tub once. Right now it’s quiet, so I think she went back to bed. I’m getting ready for work and it’s getting ready to rain for awhile. I have a no heat call with units on the roof. I’ll roll out and see what I can do or not do when I get there.

It's headed to the mid to upper 70's today with party cloudy skies and winds tp 12 mph. It will go a long way to drying things out, just in time for more rain tomorrow...      Too nice to stay inside.

Chicken coop project complete. For today, donate a pint, empty out the mail box and recover the Hercules, get zoo food, look for lighting for house, tired of florescent bulbs and ballast blowing out, will be going to LED.

  It is going to be a windy, colder than normal, rainy day. I am going to take my lovely wife out for a good red meat meal (her choice) at lunch time anyway. Then come home and stay warm together the rest of this Valentine's Day. 

  I was the one that remembered it is Valentine's Day, and her reaction was a happy one.

I don't have to worry about Vd any more but I'll treat my self to a nice steak and baked tater tonight.
