Mornin ya'll. Amazing how many of us have been struck by lightening. Maybe not so much for Kris and me. We live in the lightening strike capitol of the world!

My arms feel like they are nailed on at the shoulder and I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. At our age we all got aches and pains. Well the other day I decided to quit being a stoic and use some of that 1600 hours of sick leave I have accrued. I waited until I was sure the boss had his first cup of coffee before I called and gave him the bad news. I'm taking the day off. If I go in I'll do something that aggravates my shoulder. Now the trick is to not do anything that aggravates my shoulder while I'm home!

Managed to get a new stainless steel faucet for the Kitchen today. I'll install that tomorrow as today is planned to work on an FX StreamLine. Hammer weight was stuck in the hammer and had to drive it out with a small punch!
I'll be polishing those parts up today and start the reassembly. Titanium Valve and hardened valve pin came in today so everything is a go now!

I have no idea, three times it was at work and once at home. The fourth hit sent me across my work office, I had what they call flash over on my stomach, the lightning had fried my hide. The EMT said if I had been touching something to complete the zap I wouldn't be here. It stunned the daylights out of me for a few minutes. So when I hear a rumble far off, I stop everything and take cover. We have a few tourist get nailed every summer on the beaches in this area. The lightning in this area can reach out 8 to 10 miles, it may be clear overhead but a storm few miles off can bust ya in a hurry.

I'll just tell what I DID do so far...

Woke up 6:55, dozed until 7:45. Got up, drank licorice tea, read, surfed, ate. Went outside and chopped wood, hung with the boys, bought a light switch and swapped it out with the old one. Washed my car. Started to replace a switch in a fan and realized that I ordered the wrong switch after getting it apart. Came in and made a return for the fan switch and ordered the correct switch. Now I'm sipping coffee, ate a few Ritz crackers and chilling until 4 when we will get started on making dinner (smash burgers on the griddle).

After dinner we will clean up and head out to bible study. When that is over it will be time to come home, get ready for beddy and the start of our work/school week. I need another day off in reality. I did shoot about 10 shots out of my FX Royale at a can.

AG shooters and lightning strikes. What's the connection? Not very many people get hit by lightning, not very many people are AG enthusiasts. Seems statistically unlikely that both would happen to the same person.

I'm unwilling to test a relationship between lightning strikes and AGs by standing in an open area while holding an AG over my head during a thunderstorm.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! Well, I got up at 0430 and there’s about 2” of ice outside… yesterday was a bust. That ice just kept coming when I left for work, I turned around for home when my Van decided she wanted to go sideways at 6 mph. I yanked all my tools out of my van and they’re laid out in my garage. Today I’m going to finish going through my tools and tool-bagging and tool-boxing them back up to be more organized for work. I’m planning on burning some downed brush in the fire pit too. Also, I have some chain and parts for the target frames for the 100m range. I’d like to put the blocks out that I have to mark 25 meters, 75 meters and 100 meters. I already have them laid for my 50 meter spot. Other than that, coffee, winter snacks and keeping warm are my main goals for today.

Supposed to be low 70's and overcast today... little or no rain.
