When I worked worked the produce wet rack I would be using my knife for about 5 hours a day and only cut myself bad enough to require more than a bandaid three times in 40 years (once was because the knife broke trimming corn). I could trim and stretch vent wrap 24 heads of lettuce or celery with twist ties in just over 2 minutes consistently, never setting the knife down, most of the other produce workers I worked with were about half as fast and set their knives down to wrap each one. Most of my cuts and scrapes were superficial and didn't bleed. My skin is a little thinner now though, and callouses are gone.

After being a laborer for decades, now that I am a manager, my saying at work has been...
 "If I am leaking, I was actually working!"

Every time I'm out working around the property I ALWAYS come in bleeding from somewhere.🤪 I'll cut or scrape myself and not know it until I feel something sticky and look down and see blood all over 1 of my hands or arms or even my legs in the summer.

Ah yes but... to the question "Where did you get that tattoo?" In some cases I can honestly answer.. "I don't remember". I can't say that about the scars...

The dog's water bowl on the front porch had a good layer of ice on it this morning so I figured I better take a walk about and see if I had any pipes frozen in the bar, Red Shed and barn.
Everything is flowing freely so we're good to go. Temps will reach near 60 today and the sun is shining brightly.
Maybe some more low to mid power springer shooting today. Can't remember the last time I shot the Xisico XS-12 guns.

I've seen it snow in Arizona in June.

 Mornin ya'll.  Thought I was the early field shift at work today.  Somebody called in sick so I'm driving boats instead.  Its COLD.  I canceled the 9:40 boat because it was below freezing.  The 10:40 boat went out but I'm not driving it.  I've got the 11:40 and the 12:40 for sure.  Should be a pretty easy afternoon.  The sun is out so the gators will be up on the banks sunbathing.  It's cold enough to keep the manatee in the spring so there will be plenty of them around.

Quiet Sunday for me, visited with other retirees from my profession yesterday at a lunch get together, some I haven't seen since they retired. Our oldest one is 84 and doing very well. The usual Sunday is feed and clean the zoo up for the week, lunch in the crock pot. Just taking it easy today.

I thought one "Pilots" a boat if motorized. And "Sails" a boat if wind powered?

When B-52's came in, we grabbed all the drip pans we had and even borrowed some from the neighboring squadron because as the flight crew told us, "If she aint bleeding, she's dead!"

We collected over 100 gallons of JP-8 and filled all our tow vehicles, huffers and line truck with it.

You haven’t seen my extremely crude “piloting”.  It gets pretty raggedy Andy out there some days and I have been known to hit rocks, stumps, sandbars, slow moving alligators, dock pilings, etc.

When we return to the dock I usually warn the passengers to brace for impact.

“Driving” is a much better description.
