Finally made it to the landfill after the trailer sat loaded for the better part of a month.
The GMC wouldn't start and the jump box needed charged so it was an hour delay.
Got to the dump and Dennis complained because anything on the trailer that could hold water was holding water. He let us slide but warned us to be careful in the future. The EPA sees liquids on the ground and shuts them down while they test it.
Junk needs to be separated from large metal items such as appliances. I knew this and did a fair job loading it accordingly.
While unloading the under counter dishwasher my boot got hung up and I took a tumble...
As if in slow motion, I had to consider the following on the way to the ground....
Betty Lou was on the other end of the unit.
My leg was directly under the unit.
I'm a 2 time survivor of a broken neck.
And everything in the landing zone was jagged hunks of rusted metal.
Damage report..
Minor leakage from my elbow and knee.
Tear in a pair of my favorite jeans.
Bruised shoulder. And most importantly, my pride.
All in all.. an adventure.

I'm surprised the boss aka the wife didn't give you heck for wearing your favorite jeans to the junkyard.🤔

Jo Anne and I will be off soon to buy a new washing machine and dryer.
The mechanical timer in the washer is missing some cycles.
I rebuilt the dryer 6 years ago and it is still running fine.
I could fix the dryer too but I told Jo Anne she could get a new set... if she wanted.
SHE WANTED !    Both machines are over 30 years old.

After we get back, I'll be going up on the roof to finish removing snow & ice up there.
I have 3 roof lines. The low garage, the low living room & kitchen and the center high roof over the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom.
The 2 low roof tops are done and I need to get it off the center high roof.

Nope, that can't happen.   
I have a split two level home with an attached garage.
Each roof line has it's own overhang.
The snow dropps straight down to the ground.

She has to go back to work Monday. So I'll probably stay close to home Monday also.

 I don't want to brag  but, when I put the new fuel pump in my '69 GMC I didn't cause blood blisters or any leakages from my skin.   

 I am usually fairly good at finding sharp edges with my knuckles.   I learned how to avoid wrench slip injuries a long time ago, for the most part.

 So far aging has not made me fall more often but maybe land harder or more awkwardly when it happens? The other day going down the stairs from the back deck I noticed that I was being cautious and had the thought it seems weird to have to think about going down stairs safely instead of just doing it. I have fallen down those stairs three times in the last 15 years. It's 5 steps with no railing on either side. I probably should install a railing but the stairs are 5' 6" wide and I usually use the center.

LOL.... after I went into management my saying was... if I'm working enough to be leaking, I am not at work.

Butch came over about 10:00... I had the target set up at 50 yards outside the garage. Shooting table set up inside, and salamander running to shoot out the open garage door.
  He was astounded with the Texan. I let him shoot 2 fills worth (12 shots)... we were getting it zeroed in nicely
  Then I brought out the filled Kratos and a tin of FX 18g. and set up some of my small steel cubes at 30yrds. The look on his face after the first shot was priceless. He thought is failed to fire but the 2" x 2" cube was knocked over. 
 I explainded how the shoud worked to quiet it down.
He sat and shot a mags worth nailing it every single time. His remark was "This is just TOO easy!"
So we put fresh paper on the 50 yard target and I cranked up the power adjuster... 3 more mags and he was putting hole on hole.
 Then I filled the Texan one more time and stretched her out to about 75 yards. Getting nice 3" group with the NOE 220g HP's off the bench.
 He said "I need to get my Gamo back out".. I had no idea he even owned an airgun... but obviously I rekindled a flame. 
 After 2 hours we shook hands and he drove away. Twas a good morning with an old friend.
