Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! Up at 0400 CT. I’m on call… so, I already had a job on me to change out a compressor in a cooler. Last night before bed, the call center put a call on me for a site with a noisy hvac system. I’ll hit that one first, then go on to change out that compressor. I’m going to have another coffee first.

Worked our butts off yesterday raking, burning and digging out roots and rocks. Both of us are feeling our age this morning.
First thing this morning we're going to make a run to the Florida State line to pick up some Power Ball tickets. Grab some breakfast somewhere along the way.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! Up at 0400 CT. It’s cool and wet outside, in the low 50*s. It’s not going to get much warmer, but the sun might come out. I worked 12 hours yesterday, but I don’t have anything on me yet for today. Ayrabella hasn’t been feeling well this week. My wife is going to Ch**ch, I’ll stay home with ‘Bella. If I get a call, I’ll have to get my wife back home to roll out. I need to finish loading up my trailer today, if I can, to take what I can to the scrap yard tomorrow morning.

Ah, scrap the sun… I was wrong. I’m having another coffee and looked at the forecast. No sun today, it’s 54* now and best it’ll get to is 59*, cloudy all day. If I don’t get called out to work and I get the scrap metal loaded, I’ll set up the bench to shoot some airguns. Low winds and overcast but not cold is my favorite time to shoot.

Great day yesterday with Betty Lou. We took our time driving to Florida to grab some Powerball tickets. Didn't hit anything but Betty Lou had a $4 winning scratch ticket from our last trip. She cashed that and hit $30 on one of the 2 $2 tickets she bought.
We stopped and a great little spot called "The Gator Grill" in Baker and had a fried fish blue plate lunch. It came with 3 sides, a roll or cornbread and your drink. It was $25 for both of us including tip. It was only 3 small pieces of fish but with the sides and bread it was quite satisfying. The food was hot and fresh and the service was great. Lots of older locals and deer hunters.
Then we stopped at a roadside farm market. By then I was spent and got dizzy and had to sit on a bench while Betty Lou browsed. In about 5 minutes she said "Let's go, the prices are stupid". For example, they had potatoes for $1 each. We got home around 2pm and just relaxed the rest of the day.
Today will be more of the same... the relaxing part, that is.

Mornin y’all.  It’s cool and drizzling down here in Flarda too!  This kind of weather appeals to my Hibernian genetics!

I just finished two hours of patiently watching the pasture behind the house for early morning wildlife.  Usually I will see a red shouldered hawk zap a dove or squirrel but even the birds are walking this a.m.

I’ve been sketching like mad for two weeks and I have a pile of ideas for paintings.  It’s a bit humid to use an airbrush today but but I can get all the under painting done with regular brushes.  I’ve got a couple of grounds set up and ready to go so I think I’m going to spend the rest of today painting

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! Up at 0315 CT. I’m finishing up my first coffee and I think I’ll have another before I get moving. The office didn’t put a first call on me yet. I have a few more things I want to throw on the trailer before I roll out. I’m going to hit the scrap yard and then call the office at 0800. I have parts for a couple jobs, so I’ll be working, for sure.

I've been awake since 0500.  We're getting the trailer packed and hitched up for a month long camping outing which starts tomorrow.  I've got to figure out which air guns to take and how to pack 'em.  ITMT, I'll shoot my brand new Colt Peacemaker which arrived on schedule yesterday afternoon.

Packing up the kit for a road trip! Mojave is about to get a significant deposit of lead scattered around to area. Two glorious days of uninterrupted doing whatever it is that I want!!!!!
Hopefully I can regain my coveted title of being the best shot n the house, but I'm losing ground to younger eyes! ;-(. We put balloons on a stick at 100+ yards out and lob em out as far as our guns will allow. .22 break barrels can throw stupidity far!! Last trip we had one out at 200 yards that I nabbed first shot! ( Better to be lucky than good right!). Hahaha ever since my baby's got the bug! 
So dutch oven apple pies, fine German beer, cheeseburgers to make any cardiologist put you on his Christmas card list, and glorious silence under the stars!
Sometimes the affairs of State must take presidencies from the affairs of state!

25 years ago I was right there with you Wolfgang. I lived in Hollyweird in those days and took every chance I could to get out of there.  The high desert ought to be awesome right now.

Well, up at the crack of noon.  Go t to take the memsahib in to see the quacks today.  Figure I’ll run by Tractor Supply and Wally World.  Then I’ll assist the memsahib in rebuilding the brakes on her car ( she’s the mechanic bub), paint for a while, and slip some airgun shooting in there somewhere.

 I got up at 4:00 and have been spiffing up the house! I polished the kitchen sink and water spout. The kitchen looks extra clean now, it's sure to be mood pleasing. 
 I get to pick my wife up at the Palm Springs airport today, YIP, YIP, YE Haw, Halleluiah, Amen!
 Yes I am happy today is the day, 10 days can seem like a long time.
 I have some bills to pay later, and plan on going to a Trick or Taco event at my youngest daughter's house.
 All "trick or treaters" will be given the choice of a Taco or candy! 

 All adults will be given Taco's too, sounds more like a Thanksgiving to me!

BTW, it’s our anniversary.  24 years married.  Yep, we’re goin out for Mex tonight.

Got up this morning around 5. Took a nice hot shower and made myself an egg n cheese sandwich.
I waited for the fog to burn off then headed out to the mancave to see why one of my remote cameras wasn't connecting. I reset it and it was fine.
After a walk about with the dogs I got the Hatsan Vortex 1k .25 out for some knock down plinking.
Betty Lou decided to do some laundry and hang some clothes out on the line for the freshness.
I jumped in the truck to scope out the local second hand type shops out of pure boredom. And as fate would have it, they were closed today... ?
Oh well, on the way home I couldn't resist stopping at the church pond and soaking a worm. I happened to have a dozen or so in the truck from the other day. And as fate would have it, they were closed too... not even a nibble..
Got back home to find Betty Lou and the dogs outside enjoying the perfect weather.
The HV1K was still on the shooting bench so I shot it some more.

 My plans for the day were to work till 11 then head home for a new washing machine delivery, I get to work and see I have a notice that it is out for delivery 
 I tell work I gotta go, and head home to find they were here and gone already. The Lowes Invoice claimed I could choose am or pm delivery and was set to between 12 and 4  So call and reschedule delivery for tomorrow and wait till they come.
 Since I have the day off again I Called to have my Dodge 1500 towed to scrap yard so I'm thinking the scrap guy is probably going to give me better service, and some cash to cover washer cost

Went and changed the oil in my ford ranger. Man there's a lot of dried mud on the underside of my truck. I'll wait to see what the weather is like tomorrow and if not 2 windy I'll drag out the pressure washer and wash it off. I've got my old 1983 xr500r's oil draining over night and will finish it up tomorrow. Just swapped out the front sprocket to a 15 tooth for the 14 that was on it.

Decided to paint brush the rusty grill with rust remover today after sanding the rough surface smoother with a wire brush. I'll wash it tomorrow, blow dry it with the yard blower, then paint it with high heat paint. Sucker's going to look way better than it ever has and last a long time hopefully.
