Rambo was impatient this morning. He let us know on no uncertain terms that it was time to get up. He put his nose on the bed in Betty Lou's ear and whined like a baby.
We'll make a run to Troy this morning for dog food and some insulation board. I'm going to weather seal in the screened in back porch. We just need more space in here. It will be more like a utility/storage area. The chest freezer and pantry products will live there among other things.
I'll drop a gun that I sold off at the PO on our way out of town.
Looks like some rain will be moving through today. Maybe a little heavy later this evening. They are also calling for some higher winds so we'll just make sure everything is buttoned down.

Mornin y’all.  Late field today. I go in at eleven and stay till seven and close the park.  Always an easy shift but I’ve got lots of administrative paperwork to do so it will be boring as well.

Good morning up at 2:14 and then back to bed until 4:44.

I went without Coffee yesterday but, I think I will have some today, I didn't really do anything yesterday even though I felt fine. Just had a lazy day. 
Maybe the choice to skip the Coffee had something to do with it, IDK?

Trying to find a rebuild kit for the grundfos shallow well jet pump that sprung a leak and ended up pumping about 500 gallons of hauled water onto the garage floor. Dang thing would cost around $600 to replace with another one. I've got a hd jet pump installed for now but heard they only last about 2 years. You'd think costing $340 it would last a little longer.🤬🤬🤬 Oh the joys of living off grid!😉🍻

You bet! I get calls from other guys asking for parts and I can usually hook them up.

I am usually a solo truck so I make sure I have enough buffer. Some times if I can I'll load heavy Incase someone else in the north needs a bail out.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday- it’s Hump-Day! Up at 0400 CT. I am “On Call”, technically there is no Hump-Day for me this week. We’ve slowed down the past few weeks, but it’s about to get busy. We have new accounts and I heard a bunch of calls are coming. I volunteered to work this weekend even if there aren’t any emergencies. I need to make some money. This morning I have my 0600 meeting and then I need to get that site audit finished from Monday.  Coffee first.

  I had to take recycles and trash to the road this morning. I have a job outside today but with a helper that volunteered that I have no contact info for, so first I'll be waiting for him and a couple of packages too. He lives about 30 miles away and if we decided on a time I don't remember it. 

It's 48°F at 7:36 and is supposed to get to 75°F today.

Late start today- intended to just work, but events last night precipitated in us heading to the county courthouse to set up an eviction hearing for the useless sacks of monkey-dung (son and his partner).  What started as a Next-June thing devolved into a December 31st thing, and now it is a 72-hours-after-the-hearing thing.  Early this year we found a camera inside the living room.  I made it very clear that was not acceptable- especially given I work from home.  Well, we found a new camera set up.  Ergo, we reached out to the sheriff and are following the letter of the law to a T.

I already cut them out of the home internet via MAC-address-blocking.  They f'd with the networking hardware after we headed to bed last night to no avail.

A little later I'll be ordering some head bolts, an AIR manifold with ferrules, thermostat/gaskets/hoses for my F-150.  The head is off- 5 of the 6 AIR ferrules broke loose easily... the other one disintegrated   That's at least 3 tins of JSBs down the drain.  Yes, I now measure fiscal values in cost-per-tin of JSB Hades.

I have to drop the head off at a machine shop for magnafluxing and a valve job.  I toyed with a full rebuild but I have good compression on all 6 cylinders with minimal leakdown.  I have a few days off next week so I figure that's a good time for dropping the head off.

Yep, I got up and we went up to the heart hospital in Tyler and I had a ' Loop Recorder' inserted into my chest.  I really  want to get off of some of these blood thinners; especially, the expensive Exeralto.

I ended up canceling what I was going to do. My low back really flared up for some reason, it was time to rest it, maybe for a few days? We'll see.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I was up by 0400 CT. This morning I have another new site audit & hvac survey to do. Yesterday’s went very well. I’m actually looking forward to this one, it should have less equipment than yesterday though. I might/could get home at a decent time to get to a couple things I want to do at home.

Good morning! I was up at 2:10 and then got up for the day at 4:10. My back feels more like it normally does this morning (I can walk upright and normally).

  I just took my first sip of coffee since Sunday morning, AHHhh...good stuff!   I almost had some Tuesday and had given myself permission to but didn't. I had just decided to avoid it for a few days, and did now I the plan is to drink a little less per day. I don't want to give it up, just cut back to 2-3 cups. My main reason is I want to drink more water and as long as I am sipping coffee I am just not thirsty. Secondly, I think using less creamer would be better for me too, and I like it in my coffee. Tuesday I just felt like I needed some but got over it in a couple of hours. Yesterday I didn't miss it. Not drinking it made no difference with my GIRD, similarly to the times I had tested giving up coffee for 2-4 weeks at a time to see if it would.

  I plan on taking it easy today too. I will putter around but try to make sure not to do anything to aggravate my  back (just be extra cautious). Maybe I should just play with my airguns today? I do have to go to the Lawyers office and also pay a couple of bills.

  On Tuesday when I got to my house in town I saw the sliding patio door was wide open. Apparently we didn't close and lock it last Thursday when a grandson and I were there I guess. I looked it all over and nothing had been disturbed and there was no sign of anybody having been in it.  That door faces the street which would make it more likely for someone to notice it left open. There is a 3' patio fence with locked gate that they would have to step over to go in that way.

I'm stuck in the ranger station today.  Never my favorite shift.  Still got piles of administrative paperwork to do but there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I'm hoping for a slow afternoon when I can get out my drawing board and finish some Halloween posters.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! I woke up early and went back to sleep until 0500 CT. It felt good to sleep in. Only plan so far is to visit my chiropractor at 0715. I don’t have a job on me yet, I’ll have to call the office around 0800. If they don’t have anything for today, I’m fine with that. I want to get a load of scrap metal on they trailer. And I’m on call, so I might wind up working the weekend. They asked for volunteers to work the weekend and I said I would if they set it up for me, even though I’m already on call. I’d just have to stop or finish whatever they have me on to run emergencies.

Spent the day raking and burning leaves and pine straw yesterday. More of the same for today. Yanking out a bunch of bushes as well. Someone in the past sure liked their bushes and they've gone wild here. We're not big fans of bushes, especially near the house. Too many unwanted critters like to make homes in them.
Betty Lou has picked out 3 bushes she would like to keep including a bottle brush and 2 other flowering bushes. They are 20 yards or so from the house and will be kept trimmed.
Several trees 8" in diameter and less need removed and I'll be addressing that in the near future.
I need to take advantage of the cooler, less humid weather to get out there and get things done. Rain is predicted for the weekend so we'll try to get as much as possible done today.

Up at 2 then back to sleep till 530. Was supposed to be a magazine day but I'm taking a pickup south to give those guys a hand.
