Already pulled my crab pots (score!19 crab) and stacked a half cord of firewood.  Next will be to unload the farm wagon from the flatbed, clear out enough space under the tractor barn to store it, finish painting a couple of posters for work and then cook the aforementioned crabs in beer for our evening repast!

I worked 6pm to 6am for several yeras when Betty Lou and I first moved south. I never did get used to it and found myself only sleeping on the weekends. Never again.

That's what my son is doing right now. He has to work those hrs because he's inspecting the inside of the fire sprinkler pipes at Walmarts all over the country. He flies and Monday and starts his inspection after around midnight. At least he doesn't have to work on the pipe just give the pipes a good proctologist camera inspection. 😱

I used to work double shifts, second and  third, every Friday and Saturday.   I'd go home, shower and change my uniform and then work first shift sunday.   Drive an hour to see my girlfriend (now wife) who was still in college.   Quickly fall asleep in her dorm room for a couple hours, drive home, work out, try to sleep.   Monday back to first shift plus whatever overtime or work details I could get on any shift.  Often it was 7 days a week.  After a while it really screwed up my brain but I was trying to make as much money as I could and save for our future.   It would kill me today,

Just finished up digging my wife's flowers up and putting them in pots to spend the winter in the house. Going to have our first below freezing night tonight of the year. Will be only down to 30 tonight but tomorrow night it'll be in the upper 20's.

My dogs woke me at 3:12 AM to go outside until 3:30, so I just stayed up since my alarm was set for 4:00 AM and I doubted getting back to sleep would be helpful at that point. I have felt good all day though, and the day has been a real good one.

I stayed home all afternoon instead of going out to eat since I was waiting for a package delivery from Amazon.
It didn't get delivered until I was in the evening Ch**ch service. OH well, my spicy bbq chicken sandwich was good!

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! Up at 0300 CT. Oh well, I woke up to the fact that I didn’t get my van inventory completed yesterday. I did get all the leaves blown and into the woods before the rain comes. Hopefully, we’re expecting about 3” of rain between today & tomorrow. I’ll get my inventory done today, whether here at home or on the job. I’d prefer to be on the clock, but it’s easier at home backed up to the garage. I have a job for today, a PM for a -new to us- customer. That would require a full site audit- model numbers, serial numbers, filter & belt list. But I don’t feel like doing the audit and inventory in the rain. After my next coffee, I’ll get ready and get back on my inventory and I’ll hold out until daylight to see what the weather is going to look like. The rain should come in shortly.

Up at 4:30. Fed and let the dog (Rambo) out. The boss (Betty Lou) and Boss (the dog) are still sleeping. Matter of fact Rambo went back to bed after he came in... 
I was left to get online and pay the bills for the month.
It is the first time working out the retirement budget other than trial runs. We're going to be just fine. Even better come January. The truck loan will be paid off and a raise in SS is due. That will add another $500 to the budget.
We are past the constant A/C season so that greatly reduces the electric bill and the propane tank is full for what little heat we will need.. usually only one brick lit up to knock the morning chill off. I can typically get through the entire winter season on $200 in propane with enough left in the tank to start the next season. Normal highs are still in the high 70's right now so it's not something to even think about yet.
Mowing season is over so I'll get the oil in the mower and both ATVs changed this week. Both trucks got oil changes recently so those are good to go.
The pellet bank is in great shape so nothing airgun related to buy for now. Plenty orings in stock to cover any leaks should they happen. And I have enough oil for at least 2 more changes on the compressors.
Looks like we can put life on auto pilot for now...

Mornin yall!  The Gulf is starting to cool off.  That should help with hurricane season but it also means the manatee are back.  I watched a big family group cavorting in the spring bowl this morning.  I'm a boat captain today so I'll be playing three dimensional pinball!  I haven't hit one yet but it's always challenging avoiding them in the narrow channels.  It's a beautiful day here.  Temps are just about perfect.  I got nuthin to do but drive boats.

Those of you who are not tour boat captains for the Florida park service have my deepest sympathies.

I went to sleep about 9:00 PM I think and I was awake at 2:10AM and then stayed in bed for a few more hours struggling to try to sleep some more. My neck lost the wrestling match with my pillow and is sore and tight this morning.  It got down to 44°F at my place last night, BURRrr  . It is 50°F at 7:39AM and will get to about 73° today. 

I did have the heater on last night, although it barely ran.

I have a couple of bills to pay and the hedges in town to trim, so I might do that today. I just hope my neck loosens up soon, the plan is that I will take it as it comes. I have to check emails for tracking messages and see when the stuff I bought will get here so I can have the gate open for them this week too.

It's beautiful weather for yardwork or to just drive the 1969 GMC Pickup to town with the windows down for lunch. 
I need to wash both pickups this week, we got a little rain Saturday night, not sure when I will wash them.

I don't usually do much on Monday's, except relax and putter around. With my wife gone for the week there are no honey-do's to get done. I could just go have a day at Desert Hot Springs Spa in the pools, or go to San Diego and walk on the beach but, I prefer doing that with my wife .

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! Well, I set my alarm for 0430 and I got up at 0300 CT. I tried to get my inventory done yesterday. But I ran into some hiccups, mainly internet connection problems where I was at. The other problem is translating the new list as compared to the old list the inventory is being done on. We’re only supposed to have what’s on the new list, but they’re not in the same order, Grrrr! I’ll get it finished up this morning and then we have a service meeting at 0800. We’ve gotten a good douse of rain since yesterday morning and it’s still raining, we needed it.

Any hoo not taking class A today but got my rig pretriped and ready to deliver some sauce.
