Rambo made sure I was up at 5am. Got them fed and sent out to walk the perimeter. Made coffee and watching weather and news.
All loaded up for an atv adventure today. It's lows 30's right now but headed for low 60's. We have all the cold weather riding gear and antifreeze..  . It's been dry so the trails should be in great shape for exploring areas that we're not able to get to when it wet. when we visited our friends at the atv park yesterday there was not a soul in sight so when should have virtually the whole place to ourselves.
Their Halloween weekend event is in 2 weeks and we will discuss helping out setting up the haunted ride before the event. Me on the trails as security and Betty Lou helping out in the kitchen and front desk during the event. Then we'll talk about helping out the following week with clean up from the event. Next we'll talk about plans for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year events.

I've been up about three hours and have had coffee, went out with and picked up after Sallywagger, shot a few pellets in the chilly 44° and am now resting.  After lunch, we're gonna' fiddle with and start loading the RV for our month long November outing.  The big question is what gun/s do I take with us?

My wife and I just got home after a 365 mile drive from Hume Lake Christian Camp/Sequoia National Park. We had a great two nights up there. The route we took home was more miles but avoided L.A./Pasadena traffic rush hour. Our route was about 45 minutes faster today. 

 We averaged 24.8 MPG in the Dodge 3500 and I am happy with that.     I was at 26.7 mpg before we got to the mountain roads.

  There was great food including a variety of deserts, scenery, hikes, hatchet throwing, and fellowship and clowning around with 48 others some that we knew and some that we just met. Joking around and playing games too, just a great refreshing time by all!

  The Camp staff serves great meals. Last night was a Prime Rib meal.  All the meals are buffet style with ample choices for everyone to get their fill of what they like.

 NO INTERNET or Phone service up there. Well anyone can pay $20 and have internet, but it really is nice just to have a break from it! The temps were low 40's at night and highs of 70, perfect!

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday, I wish it was Friday… just one more day. I woke at 0315 and got up at 0400, I’ve been doing that lately. Yesterday I wound up going through inventory, I’m close but, not done yet. Today we got our first heat call. We’re supposed to get the heat going and then check on materials for another job. Hopefully, I can get my van inventory done too.

Grumbly mornin I don't know when I fell asleep but I woke up at 2 in my computer chair. Took care of business then laid back down till 415.

Seen noe released a new mold so I ordered it and 2 sets of handles. Got a last minute order in on their fall sale saved 15%.

Let's get that boom sauce down the road.

We had a great time at the ATV park yesterday. We left here about 9am and got back home around 3pm.. it's a 20 minute ride away. We saw lots of squirrels, rabbits and deer on the trails. Not many mud holes but not to dusty either. Bobby has done a real good job on the trails.
We shot the Air Speed and as expected, he was impressed.
We rode the beach trails down by the river then went up on the ridge trails. They cut in a few new trails up there including one called 'Dragon's Tail' (experienced riders only). I started down it but soon realized that the buggies had cut the ruts too deep for the ATVs. I probably could have done it but I was worried about Betty Lou. We had to wince my bike back around to get it headed back up the hill. It got a little hairy. We had the whole park to ourselves and the best part was that our punch cards were full and the day was free. (every 5th visit is free)
Monica wasn't feeling well and was at home so we didn't discuss helping out. She sent word to have Betty Lou call her.
We couldn't have asked for better weather. At around noon it was warm and sunny enough to pull a layer of clothing off.

I was up at 4:00 today, an hour more sleep than what I got when I was not in my own bed. 

Today I am going to help a grandson that is moving. He has been off work this week since he strain his back last Thursday, so between the two of us we don't have one good back. We will have to use our heads to get the heavy stuff moved. What could possible go wrong?       It'll be fine!

My wife is flying out tomorrow morning to spend the rest of the month in Idaho with Grandkids and Great Grandkids so, I be taking her to the Airport in the morning, but it won't be too bad because she is flying out of Palm Springs which is just 52 miles away and just a nice small Airport. One of our granddaughters bought her the ticket because she wants lessons on Grammy's holiday cooking. She just hasn't been able to reproduce Grammy's cooking/baking so she needs a refresher course. That granddaughter moved away when she was too young to get it all. OH!, I wish I could be there to judge/sample/eat the results, they're going to get all the good stuff! Oh well my wife will be back home to make it all for us for the holidays, I'll just have to wait a bit longer.

Unloaded the ATVs and trailer from yesterday's adventure.
Took a local ATV ride and stopped at the Church pond and shot one of my chopper springers at stuff floating in the pond.
Then I came home and unloaded the airgun stuff from the truck from yesterday and shot the Air Speed some.
Such a rewarding gun to shoot.
Not much planned.. just taking it as it comes.

Unloaded the rest of the stuff out of the GMC from yesterday's adventure. Put the remains from the cooler in the bar/mancave fridge.. 
Noticed a rear tire was low on Betty Lou's Kodiak 450. I have let some air out for a softer ride and I may have let too much out of that one. I got the Judge hand pump out of her rack box and pumped it back up. I we keep Green Slime and a hand pump along with other emergency tools in her rack box. A hatchet, machete channel locks and multi tool are must have. TP, fat lighter and stick matches in a pill bottle and a first aid kit.
Dry socks and gloves in a zip lock bag. I also have a rubber patch kit for the boots.
Oh, and a jump box.

Cabinets are painted and doors rehung.  I have cut and fit the Butcher block tops for the section closest in the picture.  I'll need to join and secure the pieces for that tonight or tomorrow before work.  I hope to have the other section done by the middle of next week.  I also have to tile the back splash after the tops are installed.  Getting closer....

  I took the low end so that I didn't have to back up the stairs. That meant I had to lift my end over my head and climb the stairs to turn on the landing half way up and clear the railing.

  Well it was a little tough but I think we pulled it off without hurting ourselves anywhere new. I did not bend over unsupported once.  I am back home and exhausted though. We used both my 69 GMC pickup and His Full sized Dodge so we just had a few trips.

He knows I am in pain all the time but, he also knows I do my best to keep doing everything anyway. If there was a hide-a-bed I may have not been able to negotiate the stairs. The large/long sectional couch was bad enough.

I am going to get off her for the night and spend some time with my wife that is going to be gone 10 days. She flies out at 9:30 tomorrow morning. Good night all!

Typical retired morning... each being like a Saturday.
Fed the dogs and put on coffee. Let the dogs out and poured a 20oz Yeti cup to wash down the pills.
Think I'll load up some gear and ride down to the church pond at daylight for a bit of fishing and turtle sniping.
40* right now and headed for mid to upper 70's.... my kinda weather. It is forecasted for rinse and repeat for the next 10 days, at least.
