Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! Up at 0430 CT. Finishing up my last coffee at the house and then I have to get ready to get on the road. I’m pulling my trailer with me, I have a crate of parts on a pallet I need to pickup, then a 2 hour ride northeast. I have a 17+ year old package unit that we need to rebuild. The blower motor mounts broke, the condenser fan shroud broke- sending the fan blades into the condenser coil, slashing and thrashing it. So, we have to replace the condenser coil, the condenser fan motor, fan blade & top shroud & remount the blower motor. Best of all, it’s getting new R22. They should’ve just replaced it. But, should be a good day for me & the newest- new guy. I haven’t met him yet, but when I called him last night and told him what we were doing, he said “Rad!”… I’m not sure what planet or generation he’s from. Should be fun. 

Well, while it seems logical to just replace a unit that requires that much in parts, time and labor, management does not look at it the same way. Depending where you are in the fiscal year, fix and repair dollars may need spending versus capital improvement dollars. Sometimes, it’s just the guy that needs to sign off on a replacement is on vacation. I learned to just shake my head and move on.

I know what you’re saying, Bruce. I’ve been with this company for almost 12 years. The bean counters on both sides know what they’re doing. I’m just a monkey with the wrench. It’d be pretty funny if the lose the compressor on Monday, though. I’ve seen it happen.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! I slept in until 06-something. I wanted to be out shooting by now, hopefully after this second cup o’joe I’ll get moving. The grandsons are coming over later. That’s when the chaos begins.

Well, we're back from our 5 day camping trip and I plan to catch up on some air gun shooting. 

I took a couple of handguns with us but there really wasn't any place to be by myself and I didn't want to get into  any discussions with the unlearned about airguns in a state park.

Back in the early 70s, I worked for an agricultural aviation service.  During the winters, part of my job was working on those Stearmans.  The ones used by that company had the 1,340 hp radials.  They hauled a payload of 2,000 pounds of fertilizer or seed.  There was only one cockpit because the fertilizer hopper took up the space where the front cockpit had been.

I actually did a 3d model of engines like that used in Games.
Being an Air Gun forum? Not many interested in my past 3D work.
And if they play Games? Probably seen some of my work.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! I woke at 0345, then 0430, and got up at 0500 CT. The grandsons slept over last night. I already got my air gunning in before it got hot yesterday and before they got here, but I wanted to show them how to shoot an air gun. So, this morning my wife is singing at Ch**ch and she’s leaving for Ch**ch early. Our oldest daughter is picking me and the kids up for Ch**ch around 0900. If all goes well, after Ch**ch, we’ll all come home and have lunch. After that, my little shooting partner and I will try to teach Mac (9) and Kai (4) how to safely shoot an airgun. They’re a little bit wild, more than my wife & I are used to. But if I can do this in a safe & orderly fashion, this might do them some good. 

PS- And yes, Ayrabella is 9 3/4 and the grandsons are her nephews… so she’s the boss and they mostly listen. They think I’m a superhero, so I have some kind of super natural powers over them other people, including their parents, don’t have.

Good morning fellow airgunners! I wish everyone a Happy Sunday! I woke at 0212 with a leg cramp, finally what seemed like hours a fell back asleep, then at 0450 I woke up again. My wife was also awake so we just laid there and talked. We got up at 0700 CT.
We're streaming Ch**ch today and joining our Bible fellowship class through ZOOM.

I had a good day yesterday, after replacing the wheels on a small dump trailer with ones I took off of an old riding lawn mower and then hauling five trailer loads of topsoil filling in six low spots/sink holes in my yard I was exhausted, LOL but a good tired.

Below you can see the old rotten wheel and tire that came on the decades old dump cart and the wheel and tire from the old Murray riding mower that I put on in their place.

Up late had Natertot rolling around on me and Lilly out in the kitchen. That Natertot kitchen barricade is loud when opening and shutting it. The will be going back to thier moms and I'll be going to the VFW meeting today. Its been 2 years since I had been to one.

I'm new and have yet to do that yet.  What is the proper procedure to remedy a backwards pellet without damaging anything?  I have a break barrel if that helps.

I have an brass section of cleaning rod. I simply drop it down into the barrel muzzle to knock bad loaded pellets out.

I shoot them out if they don't make it I rod them out.

I have an coated cleaning rod. If I did that I would insert it in the barrel muzzle to push the pellet out.

Some guys report better accuracy with certain pellets intentionally loaded backwards.

My plans today were "dictated".
 Started grilling 120 brats and 130 burgers at 8:00 am for a golf outing that ate at 11:00. Now home... BUT
I get to go back and do it all again for another batch that eats at 16:00.

I think I will stop at the meat market and get me a big ole T-Bone for the grand finale'
