We're safe here now, the active fire is east and north of us.

My younger brother that lives in town has been without power since last night and the power company is saying it may be 5 days till they get it restored so I took him a generator. When I got back home my wife had left to go to town for something else and I don't have my house keys on me so I'm locked out in 105° heat I just drank out of the hose childhood memory flashbacks.lol

Thanks, I am/we are fine now, the wife hurried back home after going to the Pharmacy, Bank, and Gas Station. The hose water did taste a little like garden hose.    But it was wet!

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday- it’s Hump-Day already! I got up at 0400 CT. No Wednesday morning meeting today, but I want to head to work a little early. I haven’t been ahead of the traffic that comes with school being back and I’d like to wash my van on the way out. First call is an hour ride for an air conditioning job. One more cup o’joe and I’ll get moving.

Good morning GTA!  Wednesday- I can't believe it’s Hump-Day already! I got up at 0440 CT. No plans this morning yet although I might thread the short pieces of scrap 1/4" rod to use for making some bolt-on spinners.

The ones below use long 1/4" bolts. I had those in my bolt bin, but now I would have to buy them. Hmm? So making them out of scrap would definitely save $$$.

Got to bed just before 10:00 PM so I was wide awake at 2:20 AM I got up at 2:30 AM.
It is very quiet in our area, none of the usual coyotes yapping or dogs barking.
The smoky air feels think and is heavy to breath even though visibility is not too bad, just appears hazy.
It is 77°F at 4:49 AM

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! Up at 0500 CT. I’m having my first coffee and enjoying the cool morning. My first job is a 3 door cooler not working. I’ll get rolling out about 0630. Dan, I hope & pray that you guys are alright out there with that fire situation.

Today was a late start day which is not normal for me. So up at 5 for me and it's a foggy drive today.

Good morning GTA! Seems like Thursday arrived early this week! Up at 0400CT. I’ve had my breakfast and drank my first coffee in the dark sitting on the patio enjoying the cool morning, just me and 3 mosquitoes.

I'm on my second cup, still sitting in the dark just in my recliner now. Today is one of my granddaughters birthday. Not sure what the plans are.

Oh man! I forgot my coffee cup when we evacuated. I have a large 1/2 pot size cup that I have used every day for about 30 years now. I do have coffee and my creamer though so I'll get by. This house is nice but has a lot of contents from the previous occupant that need sorting through so there is plenty for my wife and I to do. The house is very clean, so that's a blessing.

We've evacuated due to hurricanes four times in the last ten years.  You get used to it.  After a while you know what you gotta have and what you can do without.  It's hard closing up everything and just leaving it to fate though.  We never know what we're going to find when we get back.

Well I guess "if you had to have one air gun" I figured out which that is I took one with me my woods Walker.
I have others that are more expensive and more rare but it was the one I was using the most I decided to take.
