How sick do you have to be to forget you bought a new washing machine yesterday and have to go pick it up today?
Our washer/dryer set is 10 years old. The washer began going off level and walking like it has a mind of it own. I think the bearings are gone. Yesterday we stopped at an appliance repair shop and picked out a new one while we were out picking up groceries.
I bought a reconditioned one for $200 because our dryer is still good. When the dryer goes, we'll buy a new set.
Betty Lou got up just a bit ago and asked what the plan was to pick up the washer...

Nope, it's a she... Korean lady.
I'll have them put it outside and I'll pick it up. I called her a while ago and she is going to call me back when she gets to the shop..... it's Sunday.

Thanks Carter... we feel pretty krappy but we've been sicker than this before.
I'll find out our quarantine policy at work tomorrow after the doctor.

I did go pick up the washer, they put it outside for me.
I was wore out after loading into the trailer and strapping it down.
I'll get it in the house and hooked up in the morning.

I was awake at 3:30 AM but stayed in bed for another hour and then got up.

It is supposed to just get to 94 today, not bad for August.  Our Almanac record was 119°F our July 31st record was 123°F  so we are quite a bit cooler than our all time records.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! Up at 0615. I got in from work late last night, finished the week with 85.25 hours. Now, I’m off on-call, I don’t plan on doing that again for awhile. I’ve got to get rolling, the new guy needs help getting a compressor to the roof. My back ain’t made for this stuff anymore, but I wasn’t the one who won the lottery this past week. Bill, I hope you and Betty Lou get to feeling better. Dan, I hope your son gets over it quick, too.

WOW John, I know J. Robinette really appreciates the taxes you'll pay on that much OT.   I remember my days at UPS, if I worked over 55 hours I felt I was working more for the gov't than myself.  I'm hoping your back won't suffer from that much work.  And thanks for the well wishes. I hear my son working in his driveway. He has the huge John Deere skid steer (it's on tracks and the AC will freeze your marbles off) from work.

Ok, it's official. Betty Lou and I have been quarantined. I can return to work on 8/8 with a negative test. If not, we have to go another week.
The doc went ahead and sent samples from Betty Lou and I to the lab. I think they wanted a deeper analysis due to our age and other health concerns.
Tylenol and aspirin and instructions to go to ER if breathing shallows further.

Thank goodness for salary.

 Joined the ranks of the ill today, was ready to head out the door , but was feeling clammy, and a little dizzier than the norm, lost my lunch and called in sick today, seems it may have been an under cooked shrimp I ate last night
