I stayed up until 1:30 with my wife and even though I woke up 5 times I stayed in bed until 8:00 and so did she.
She was very surprised that it was 8:00 when she woke up and more that the dogs both slept through the night and weren't begging to go out. I need to go scout around outside to make sure I haven't left anything out that might damaged if it gets rained on later today.
I am going to drink some more coffee first.

I am going to try to get to the barber today.

Up at 0445 CT, it's weird, I don't feel too good today. To recap, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and today I've felt like crapola. Wednesday and Yesterday I felt good.  If my mother was still alive she'd say it's just the Dog Days of Summer.

Anyway I have zero energy and zero motivation to do anything.

I did order a cap from Dez. And I blew out the garage and blew off the patio. It's hot and muggy today.  It's just 86° but the dang humidity is at 82%.  Very uncomfortable. I'm sitting on the patio drinking coffee in front of a fan.

I'm going inside.

Last night, I planned to go for a bicycle ride this morning.  I didn't plan any particular route; so when I left the house, I had no clue.  About a mile out, I turned up into the mountains.  [Actually, they are hills; but I am from Louisiana - so to me, they look and feel like mountains.] 
As I was working up to the top of the pass, I was overtaken by five youngish bicycle riders.  The one in fifth place was little off the back and, as he passed me, he commented that the others were kicking his butt.  They topped the pass and soon disappeared down the other side at speeds over 30 mph.
For the excellent workout, I rewarded myself with a piece of lemon cake after lunch.  Yummy!

In 2020 on our motorcycles between here and Idaho I past a 10,000ft elevation sign in Nevada's Great Basin National Park. The motorcycle (carbureted) did not run great at that altitude after having been tuned for 1,600 feet. That day was cold and wet and the deep mud road we went down on for 30 miles or so was something we will always remember.

"Bumps" can feel like mountains on a bicycle, I use to ride a road bicycle but that was in the 80's.

Around 86 or 87 I was able to do it. Then everything went to heck in a hand basket and I never was able to repeat it. It was mount rubido.

 A friend and I would ride from his house in Hemet to and around Lake Perris and back to his house (about 60 miles round trip) we got to where we averaged close to 30 MPH on that ride once, making the ride in just over 2 hours. The route has 1-3% grades and we really flew on the downhill parts.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! I wound up working all day yesterday and watched another movie with my wife.    Up this morning at 0600 and I have a job for first thing today already. It’s for a water leak they think is coming from the air conditioning. It’d be nice if I could do this one job & go home.

Got up early and made coffee, set a Table for One. Loaded up a CPHP and waited, made several calls for red squirrels. Some came by but none took the bait... So far, an hour later.
Grocery shopping is in my to do list along with finishing my DIY airgun vise.

 Brunch, followed by plinking and grilling. Also will be getting a new to me GMC pickup truck, I was planning on buying a new one this fall, but Step Dad sorta totaled his GMC backing into a landscape wall, just a crinkled right rear fender, so it was totaled, and now gifted to me, as his replacement a new Subaru Forester is now in his driveway. Now I need to junk my rusted out Dodge  :'(

 Going Car shopping at some area Dealerships while they are closed and there are no salesman to bother us. "Momma needs a new pair of shoes"
 Then this afternoon, I am doing my normal "Sunday afternoon Camp-Ground cleaning" in exchange for free camping.
 Need to mow the front acres after the dew leaves.... 
Meanwhile, I have a date with a "British Bombshell" TX-200.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday!  Up this morning at 0430 CT. My son, who is NEVER sick, left work yesterday morning about 2 hours after getting there and went to the immediate care clinic. If you know him you'd know he felt had to go to the doctor. Yep! They sent him home, he has Covid.

I had been around him some last week so I'm / we're kinda self quarantining ourselves for a couple of days to see if I show any symptoms.

We've been lucky enough to get through the whole epidemic without contracting it. We've had all 3 shots.
Thursday morning I woke up with a sore throat and things went downhill from there. I took a home test on Friday morning and it was negative. I called the doc and asked to be tested. They told me they use the same home test that we used. They also said I may have taken the test too soon and made an appointment for Monday morning. If I felt better, cancel the appointment.
I spent yesterday and this morning with a sore throat, coughing until I get light headed, head ache and periodic nausea.
I thought that it may have been from the new meds I started because those are some of the side effects.
Well, last night before bed Betty Lou complained of a tickle in her throat. This morning she crawled out in rough shape and could barely speak.
Houston, we may have a problem.

Being sick does not stop the grass from growing. With the rain, sun, heat and humidity we've had for the past month or so it grows like a hay field.
I got out at 6:30 this morning to try to beat the heat. I got it all done but it was dew wet and clumped pretty bad so I decided to run the mulching blades over it a second time. I cut in a circle pattern and basically left one with row of clippings to be raked and cleaned up.

Bill I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling poorly and that Betty Lou is now under the weather too.

With all the afternoon thunderstorms lately our grass has been really growing.  I cut our yard Friday, and I can almost see it growing.

Usually this time of year the grass is brown but not this year.  It's okay though, I enjoy cutting the yard but not when it gets away from me.

I enjoy it as well. Just not when it grows so fast and it's wet leaving the clump trails. I may look for a lawn sweeper attachment for the atv.

Had shingles and pneumonia shots myself last week.

I’m fully vaccinated with Covid vac, but I still wear a mask ‘cuz it makes me look cuter 😆

Really, it’s for pollen protection.

I wasn’t a sneezer when I was still in the Philippines, but I became one when I came to the US 🤧

Yeah, forgot to mention the sneezes and stuffy nose.
I took the flu shot last year and I may have waited too long this year.
If I'm being honest, 5 days quarantine from work wouldn't be the worst thing to happen.
As long as I don't get any sicker.

  I found this old lady with 60,000 miles. 4-speed manual and a 390....interior was MINT!
