You couldn't even find a kyack around here.
So I decided to make do with what I had.

Scott, I bought the skiff from a kayak dealer in Auburndale, FL, it was a boat, motor, and trailer package that I couldn't pass up, it was worth the 14 hour round trip drive down there from panhandle to get it. I turned the barge into a raised garden bed, it was to far gone to resale and I didn't want to scrap it either. It had to many memories with it.

 Been toying with the idea of building my own BOAT, I was raised on the waters of the bay of Green Bay, grand parents had rental cottages, and he built boats that his renter could rent. My dad had a racing shell he built from Pop Mech plans, and also restored a 21 ft Civil War era sail boat, us as a family spent many a day in.

James, I had one of these when I was a kid, that is how I learned to sail. I own a newer version of it now but it doesn't come with the sail. The boat is no longer in production, the kayak has taken it's place.

Hey Scott!  Try bucking loose rivets on a riveted aluminum canoe with two rocks!  I like your method better!

  I am down to just five canoes, two kayaks, two Jon boats and a pontoon boat.  I salvaged a 15’ Sunfish after Michael came through.  No mast or sales for it.  I gave it to a buddy along with an old 5 hp mariner kicker. He turned it into a flats skiff a lot like the one Kris has.  Wish I had some pictures.

Gardening today.  Got to fertilize everything.

Here’s a picture of my second dugout canoe.  I think the first one is on display at a park in Perry Fl.  I have also participated in the construction of a Chumash Tomol.  The only planked boat built by native Americans.

Yeah, boats are my other obsession.

Not much planned for today.  I'll shoot a few pellets, watch the various conference softball championships and have a delicious Smashburger for supper.  Then, l'll watch a movie or read a bit or something.  In any event,  I'll force down a Vodka and Tonic or maybe a few.

Might go to Asia 'cuz I have a 2-month paid vacation starting June 01, or I might go on a cruise to Alaska or to Ireland 

Worst part is staying home and doing nothing like what I did last year

I missed our engagement anniversary. Missed my wife's birthday. Missed mother's day. All that happening over a single week and in the last 2 weeks. I was spending too much time at work and stressing about it.
I am sure this is totally unrelated, but for some reason, today I brought to the dump two sofas, a wash-machine and a fridge. 
Now,  I also received my lead pig ingot from rotometal in the mailbox.

It was a busy week for me. I cut my yard, my younger daughter's yard, and the yard I cut for  hire.  Non-ethanol Gasoline is $4.59 / gal currently and it's continually increasing.

Finding building materials for my younger daughter's bathroom renovation didn't go so well this week. I'll continue Monday, I've given in to the fact most will have to be ordered.

This morning I enjoyed shooting my R7-.177 and my HW50-.22.  Shooting both at 25 to 40 yards.

I could only imagine… I get 4 weeks a year and trying to take several days at a time in the summer is like pulling teeth. I am taking 3 days plus a weekend next month though!

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday!!! Well, yesterday went exactly according to plan… that happens rarely. Did everything I needed and wanted to do. But last night, when I got home from the Barn Meeting, Ayrabella’s stomach wasn’t feeling too good. This morning I got up at 0412 CT, Ayrabella was on one couch and my wife was on the other. When I made my first cup o’joe, Ayrabella said she was feeling better. Let’s hope she’s good. My wife’s singing with the Worship team this morning, I’m hoping we’ll all be well to go to Ch**ch. After Ch**ch I have a few things to prep for work tomorrow. Then we can relax the rest of the day. Maybe shoot the RWS 3400 a little, I took it out yesterday and set it in the rest/gun vise. Today is the first day of the opening of squirrel season.

Yesterday while mowing a Big Nasty Thunder-head rolled through and POURED rain and HAIL... I haven't seen hail stones marble size in I don't no how long!
Chased me off the mower with the back lawn only half done.

But this morning is BEAUTIFUL!
 Going to shoot some match targets and then finish mowing... might try a little fishing again.
I need to go visit the campground for the next 2 weekends reservations... then this evening will Fire up the grill and cook some smoked sausage.

As if I didn't learn anything Thursday, I did it again yesterday...  I must have maintained better because I feel better today than I did Friday. Either that or I built up a tolerance. 
Yesterday was a springer kinda day. They did amazingly well. My nitro Blaze to out a Crosman scope so I'll need to find another. It was and older one that I've had a long time.
Picked up a garden weasel at TSC and Betty Lou worked over the garden with it while I did some trimming with the line trimmer.
No specific plan for today yet.

Good morning GTA! Hope you're planning a pleasant Sunday!! Up at 0500 CDT. Yesterday was a good day to shoot, that is yesterday morning and late yesterday afternoon.  I enjoyed my R7-.177, Hw50-.22, and my most recent purchase of Oldgringo's Hw97k.

We are back to using ZOOM for our Bible Fellowship class and streaming Ch**ch since my wife is sitting three to four days with her 94 year old aunt.

 I will be smoking some ribs, and will be on the lookout for HOSP and Starlings that need to be scoped and injected with lead, most likely with my pp700, but may take a back up carbine pp750 along as longer range backup. But first will be going out for brunch, and a Bloody Mary, or 3

In 2017, the boat, motor, and trailer was $4100, they have probably gone up since then. I can make 6-7 trips on 3 gallons of gas and go anywhere a kayak can go. Don't need a boat ramp, just find a place to back in and go for it. The boat weighs 150lbs., the motor is 55 lbs.
