Mornin'Well, those folks in control at work are at it again. What looks good to them on paper is not what works in the real World and they just can't seem to grasp that. Space is always an issue in our business. I have 4 dock doors assigned to me. We unload and reload avg. 15 trucks on 1st shift and avg. 5 on 2nd. (Full racks off and empty racks back on). 2 of those doors are occupied 24/7 with drop and swap loads meaning, the driver drops the full trailer and picks up empties trailer 3 times a day (2 on 1st and 1 on 2nd). 3 more vendors are live load and deliver 3 times per day. Then we have daily, weekly and bi-weekly deliveries each live loads.... 15 vendors total. So, for some reason, they want to make all loads live.... no drop and swap.Understand, drop trailers give us a place to put racks as they are emptied from the production lines. They go straight into the trailer until it is full. Live loads must be unloaded and reloaded as the driver waits. That requires space to store the empty racks until the truck arrives. It creates other logistic issues as well such as.....Hello? Did y'all know there are major problems in the shipping industry including drivers shortages?

It's like juggling alligators. And yes, sometimes you just have to do it their way and show them it don't work. But, that can lead to the blame being placed on the wrong person.I am monitoring cameras today to see where I can tweak the process.
Then there is the other side of the coin...You make a plan and everyone agrees to it and it never fails... someone don't stick to the plan and messes it all up.I've learned to take pictures, make notes and get it in writing.E-mails and text messages work best.We use a Korean messaging app called KakaoTalk.
Headed to number 5 Chemo(out of 6) and I received my results of a PET scan.... Almost clear! 2 tiny spots left to go! (and I showed loaded with it in December)
Thanks everyone! Sure will be nice to get back to normal,(for me!) And get this darn Medi- Port out from under my skin. Then again, I'd do it again, to save me.Was not in too good of a shape, at the beginning of all this.
