Good morning GTA!!! Up at 0400 CDT.

Just a bit of trivia this morning, out of GTA's 20,976 members only 27 members are online right now at 0600 CDT. Hmm?  That's a little more than 1/10th of 1%.

If you search the Members List and sort by post count, of the 700 pages of members, the first 312 PAGES have one post or less.

Today will have no air gun anything. It will be a day of chain sawing and cleanup. Yesterdays 22 inches of massive spring snow brought down many limbs and whole trees. Ground is to soft to use the backhoe so this will be grunt work. Most of the upstate NY is still without cell service as the towers are down and internet is still out. Heck power is still out. Currently 30 degrees windy and snowing. Sun is said to brake out around 11 and we can go above freezing. Spent most of the day yesterday checking on folks within the surrounding few miles by 4x4 atv.

Looked at the not so local news out of Albany NY and these people have no clue what is really going on in rural upstate ny. They think their 1.5-3 inches did some bad damage. Our roads didnt even get plowed. Well best get too it. One of you guys do some shooting today for me since I will most likely not be able to.

I feel for you Matt.
We have had several late season snow storms over the past 50 years.
The snow has only been gone from my yard this year, for about 6 days.
There are still snow patches around that the plows have pushed up.

In 2018 we had a three day blizzard that hit April 17th thru April 19th and dumped a lot of snow.
This year we had Ice-out on April 18th.
In 2018 we had lake ice until mid May.

We came to lower Alabama from mid Ohio in 2013 and since I have only seen snow once and it was gone within hours.
It's a bit strange seeing Christmas decorations out and folks in shorts and tee shirts but I welcome the trade off.

The sun is amazing. Got everything cleaned up without venturing into the woods. Sun put down a major hurt on the snow. Deck is clear and dry. I am taking a few mins to drain the avenger in hopes I have fixed the reg some how.

6 months later that year a Hurricane scraped us off, I really don't want to repeat that again. I have a hard enough time cleaning up after these unruly, late season cold fronts that bring the high winds and tornadoes. Living a genny for 4 weeks is not fun either. You folks stay warm and safe up there.

Good morning GTA! Happy Fri… err… Thursday!!! It’s like Friday, for me. I got up at 0400 and I’m getting ready to head out to work. I have a job that needs to get done in less than 6 hours (installing a duct smoke detector & wiring in one unit, and replacing a duct smoke detector sensor on a another unit). I need to be done by 1300 to make it back to town for my dental appointment at 1430. After that, I’m on vacation until Tuesday morning. My stay-cation will include mowing & trimming, finishing my new van setup, tightening up the garage to get my wife’s car back inside and relaxing a bit for my 51st trip around the sun… if I’m up for it, I might get the line trimming- and even the mowing done after the dentist.

The daytime running light module went out on my vehicle last night, have to take the positive battery cable off every time I park the car or it will drain the battery. We'll have to get under the dash tonight and remove the module, hopefully it's just a soldering trace issue that I can reset her and get working again.

Yes!!! That’s on the list too, my other -Brother Dan. I try to wash it every week, but this time it’s yellow in the morning covered with pollen. If it’s not got mud on it from driving in the rain.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! I’m home on stay-cation. Got up at 0430 CT. I have my chiropractor to visit- I try to leave at 0645 because, while my appointment is 0730- he’ll take care of me at 0715. On the way home I’m going to grab about a dozen bags of top soil to fill holes. I won’t be filling holes right away, but I’ll take care of them here & there over the weekend. Today, I’m getting the van finished and the garage. At least to where I don’t need to mess with either on a grand scale. Today is supposed to be warm with no rain and tomorrow is supposed to be the same. I’ll get the mowing done tomorrow, early. It’d be nice if I can pull out an air rifle here & there.

Happy Friday morning GTA! Up at 0420 CDT.

I've got to load up my mower this morning and drive south 10 miles and cut my daughter's yard then travel north 21 miles from her house to cut the yard I get paid to cut. Then back south 11 miles back to my house. I sharpened 2 set of blades yesterday, one that was on the mower and one of the other spare sets.

Great news!!!
I weighed 199 this morning, I finally broke 200. Blood pressure was 114/65 & pulse 43. I'm gradually getting my health back in order after a few years of.... well, gluttony.  I guess that is the best word for it. I love food, and it seems I really like food that's not that great for you, certainly not the quantities I would eat.

Speaking of eating I need to get out of my chair and make me some breakfast.

Cheers to your health, Brother Dan!!! I’ve got about 6 pounds to loose to be where I want to be. 191 is where I’m stuck. I have the same problem with food, I like it a bit too much. But the excess is gonna kill us. The more pain I live with the less I want to participate in extra curricular physical fitness. I always got enough at work. But this weekend the time has come for me to start doing a little more physical fitness before work and eating a little more healthy. Congratulations to you and your progress!
