Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday!!! Up at 0415 CT. I’m having coffee with the dogs, they both wanted out this morning. I have a cooler to go troubleshoot today. I’m glad I’ll be indoors, the rain has stopped but it’s a muddy mess out there. It should get warm and maybe some sun today. If I get done with that job early enough, I’d like to go get that job from Friday done. I’m looking forward to the weekend already, Saturday is our monthly Barn Meeting.

Good morning GTA! Looks like a rainy Tuesday here!!! Up this morning at 0430 CDT.
My replacement scope from D'vor is supposed to arrive today. The first one I received had been obviously mounted so they quickly sent out a another one. Then replacement was delayed in shipping, according to UPS by a Railway mechanical mishap. I just hope this one is in new unused condition.

I am going to try again to get my taxes done today.
The weather is nice and I may have to go to Jury Duty tomorrow, I am on stand-by mode now.

"Stand-by" is a pretty good description of my life at 65 years old anyway, LOL.
I don't make many concrete plans and just go with the flow.  I like being able to just decide what to do next as I go having a malleable time schedule.

The weather is real good the next few days. Oh well, tax time. I may check in later on.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday, it’s Hump Day!!! Up at 0400 CT. I’m having coffee, perusing the GTA & some news. This morning I have my weekly meeting at 0600. I have another Spring PM to do after that, this one is at the mall. Today is also Mahayla’s 19th birthday, I hope to get home at a decent time for pizza & a birthday cake.

Good morning guys and gals! Happy Hump Day!!! Up at 0450 CDT. I've been watching some videos on the Weihrauch HW97K. I hope in the very near future to actually be able shoot one.  My plans today are a little sketchy at the moment so I'm gonna just enjoy these few moments surfing GTA.

Sadly I had to do one of my least favorite duties as supervisor. I had to terminate a team member.
On the good side.. things just kind of fell into the right place at the right time.
A prior team member that retired a couple months ago decided that he was not ready for retirement and reapplied for employment. I snatched him up with the quickness. He had been with our company since it's inception in 2005.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday!!! Set my alarm for 0330, got up at 0300 CT. I got home yesterday early enough to clean out the back of my van. This morning I’ve got a 2 hour ride to the office to swap out my van for a brand new one. There’s 2 for me to choose from, either one should do, I’ve never had a van with zero miles and not issued to someone else first. This will be my 4th van, going on 12 years, I put a lot of miles on the 3 vans I’ve had. Then, I’ll have a 2 hour ride back for a service call on a freezer.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday indeed!!! I got up at 0430 CDT this morning. I'm happy, tomorrow a LNIB Weihrauch HW97K is scheduled to arrive and I'm as excited as a kid on Christmas eve. 
Today my son is having a used mobile home delivered. It was purchased from his wife's cousin and will be for his step daughter and her child. I'll go over there this afternoon and watch them finagle the 12'x60' thru the winding path in the woods to its final resting place.

Today I will be working on the new Dar gen 3 air guns, I hope to check the barrels and see if they're clean, get scopes mounted and check for accuracy using known-good pellets. If all goes well I will do some shot strings and get it on the crony and post results.

Mornin y’all.  It’s my third day on late patrol.  I’m getting a little crispy around the edges!
Everyone is beavering away trying to get our tour boats running.  I have college degrees in fine art and education.  I am not a mechanic!
So I’m working the late shift to free up staff with more mechanical aptitude than me.

Good morning GTA! I am not sure of what I am going to do today, except mostly stay cool indoors this afternoon again. Yesterday got to 97°F today's forecast is 94°F with 5% humidity.

I won't be surprised if it gets 97°F again today, though those 3° makes little difference.

 My wife has her stitching group to go to this morning and will spend most the day with her gal friends and sister that is part of the group too, so I may go out for lunch.

I do have some yardwork to do before it gets hot. It is currently 67 so I need to get out there while it is perfect temp for yardwork.

At 10:30am here in lower Alabama it's 67* and 42% humidity.   Both temp and humidity are expected to greatly rise throughout the day.

It is 85°F 20% humidity at 11:28AM on my back deck. I was working out in the sun deconstructing an old playhouse, and I did get hot enough to convince me to quit for now and get back inside to cool off and drink a few glasses of water. Later on I may use the materials to build a good size backstop.

Our humidity drops as the temp rises usually, by 3 or 4 PM it should be down to 5%
 
 After I rest a few minutes I should shower and head to town for lunch.

With the very low humidity the evaporative cooler worked great the house stayed 70°F with it on low.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! Up at 0400 CT. I did get the new van home, 62 miles on a 2021 Chevrolet Express. I gave away my old van, with 191,000 miles on it and a brand new driver’s seat. But we have new hires that need vans and I negotiated this deal which I usually stay out of. It’s a pain swapping vans when we’re busy. And we’re busy & shorthanded already. The old policy was- we drove the vans we got issued to 500,000 miles. My first van had about 100,000 on it when I got it, I don’t remember how many miles it had when I gave it away. My second van had 67,000 on it and I drove it to 385,000. The van I just traded in had 37,000 miles on it when I got it. The new policy isn’t set in stone, but they’re wanting to retire vans much sooner. Either way, new hires hardly ever get put in a brand new van, so I jumped on the opportunity. It’s been hard the past couple years to obtain new vans, as many as we need at least. It’ll take me several days to get my tools and truckstock back in where/how I want them.

This morning after my coffee & such, I’ll visit my chiropractor. After that, I have about an hour ride to go work on a cooler and after that I have parts for an ice machine.

The wind has been howlin' here for 3 days, steady 30-35mph, gusts to 70mph. That's harsh, even for the Sandhills. Finally slowin' down some today, but not enough. Big wildfire south of me started yesterday afternoon, lucky it's head away from me. Not close to being out yet in these extreme drought conditions, several towns have schools closed today in the path of this wildfire. All RFD in the area, neighbors helping neighbors. Make a phone call, see if I can help in some way.
