Fortunately that was a waste of a somewhat sleepless night... 
We got a small amount of rain with some thunder and lightning. And not much wind at all.
Kinda strange because many areas in mid to lower Alabama got much worse.
I kept watching the news all night and seeing what was going on around us... I kept waiting but somehow it just went around us.

Good morning GTA! Yes a Happy Thursday here!!! Up at 0500 CDT. We had a tense evening yesterday. We tracked two or three funnels clouds near us last night. We were under two different tornadoe WARNINGS, but thankfully neither produced a tornado near us. We had a LOT of wind, gusts to 50+ mph a couple of times, but we never lost power. Around 21:00 it was calm. We both took a moment and prayed thanking God for protecting us.

Bill I'm glad you had a nonevent last night.

I have a good many limbs down so I have a busy day of putting my patio back together, target stands back up, and limbs picked up.

Good morning GTA! I got most of the mowing done yesterday. The John Deere law tractor ran great, far better than it has for a while. I put a fair amount of gas treatment in last time I used it and it seems to have done the needed carb cleaning.

A week ago yesterday our trash truck dumped one of our cans into the truck. I guess the driver either didn't notice until he crushed it or there is no way to get it back if the arm looses it. So we called right away and reported what happened and ask for a replacement. The lady at Waste Management on the phone said she had never heard of a truck loosing it's grip on a can before. The can that was emptied and left had a cracked lid, so we asked for it to be replaced too.

The new cans don't look to be anywhere near the quality of the old ones and have a longer list of what not to put in them. We already have a recycle can and it also has a list of what types of recyclables are not suppose to go in it.   If we were to follow those lists strictly we would only need a pickup about every two or three months, and it leaves a guy wondering what the garbage is that isn't on the lists and OK for disposal.     

Seriously we pay for trash service to get rid of the garbage. I am not referring to old electronics that hasn't been trash for years, just normal household garbage. Burning is not allowed and not a good idea here anyway, so that isn't an option. If I hauled it to the dump myself none of our normal garbage would be problematic or cost extra to dump.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! I don’t have a job lined up for today, but I am on call this weekend. After coffee & a shower, I’ll go visit the chiropractor. If the office doesn’t come up with something, I’ll run a load of metal to the scrap yard. I already have the trailer ready and if it works out, I’ll load it up again today. I’m not so sure I won’t get any calls today, but if not, I’ll shoot airguns later.

Good morning afternoon GTA! Yep a beautiful sunny Friday!!!  I've been picking up limbs again after Wednesday night's storm. I just finished eating lunch.  We had homemade Chicken & Dumplings, Pam's mom's recipe, and homemade German Chocolate cake. Maybe this afternoon I'll get to shoot an airgun. The other day I decided to order a long-nose bolt and a long bolt handle for the steel breech that is going on my Crosman 362. The Williams WGRS-54 Receiver Peep Sight was delivered today. So when the long-nose bolt arrives I'll put that together. Time for my midday coffee break.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday!!! Up at 0430 CT. Yesterday was just silly. I’m on call this weekend, so I asked the office to let me be unless it was an emergency call. They sent me on a PM at 0900 that I couldn’t find filters for. One of the reasons was Grainger was in middle of the mess that the tornado in Springdale hit. I had no idea it was that bad, but by 1130, I gave up looking for filters and had the office order them for Monday. I did get an “emergency” call later on, but I still got home about 1800 hrs.

It’s raining right now, but should clear up as the sun comes up. I’m going to take the dogs to get their nails “did”. If I get the chance after the lawn is dry enough, I’ve got a pile of pallets & lumber by the scrap pile that I’m going to bring close to the house to take the nails out of (or cut off) & stack for project lumber. Other than that, I don’t want to get into too much in case I get called to work. The girls are going in to see the eye doctor for annual exams. I might shoot some airguns a bit. This evening I need to do my taxes.

Good morning John and good morning GTA! Yes it is a Happy Saturday!!! I was awake at 0430 CDT but thankfully I dozed off for another hour.

I've been watching my calories since Christmas. I had gained weight the last few years and at Christmas I weighed 240 lbs. and was in a size 42 pant, well actually a tight 42. I was miserable so I started eating healthier and watching my calories. By the end of January I has lost 10 lbs. I'm in a size 38 pant now and they are loose fitting but not quite ready for a 36 yet. As of this morning I weigh 207 lbs.

We have two of out granddaughters with us this weekend so I'm not sure I'll get any shooting in.

I am going to the post office this morning to get a money order to mail to a fellow airgunner, yes I'm adding another rifle to the collection. A VERY nice rifle.  I'll give an update when rifle is in hand.

Dogs said it was time to eat and go outside. Then Boss decided it was play time so she took her chew rope in the bedroom and shoved it in Betty Lou's face. I heard playful growling but I'm not sure if it was Boss or Betty Lou.... 
Gonna make a run to Andalusia this morning..

I spent $150 on the EdGun EaZy Fill adapter this morning so Betty Lou gets $150 to spend on herself.... that's how we roll. It's only money and the bills are paid. Tags are due on the vehicles this month too.

I’m 6’6” and 270.  Down from 305. 
The dogs woke me up about 7:00.  I was up til 3:00 working at my drawing table.  Four or five hours of sleep is all I need these days.  Overcast this a.m. and a storm is in the forecast.  The memsahib and I will work in the garden while we can.  We got a truck load of manure yesterday.  Today we have to unload the truck (by hand) and distribute the stuff throughout the garden.  I’ve got to cultivate and top dress everything and then we will be erecting fencing around a new addition to the beds.

Thanks John, in the past 46 days I've been logging my weight every morning and over that period of time I've lost 21 lbs. Not quite 1/2 lb per day but close.

6' and always been "Skinny".  A year ago I hovered ~ 165 lbs.... but since then I am loosing weight no matter how much I eat.
I LOVE TO EAT!
Down to 152 now.... Doc says I am fine.
Had to buy a new belt.

Nahhh!  It’s all good.  I was skinny as a rail for years.  Marriage and regular meals was my downfall.  I’ve figured out how I can loose a couple of pounds a month if I stick to a routine.  Been losing weight steadily for about a year now.  You’ve just got to get your intake ahead of your output Scott.  Obviously you are working to hard!
