/\/\/\/\ Yep, sitting here with a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops on and the air conditioner running. Dumb weather can't make up it's mind this month.

It's not just Florida weather that is bi-polar We have had a low of 26°F and a high of 91° this month at my place here in SO CA.

Up here in Northern Vt it was in the 50's the other day...now getting SNOW. .maybe up to a foot.
 Can hardly see across the street when we look out the window.

Good afternoon GTA!!! Just finishing up a job, I was up at 0530 CT and went to work. I’m really quite upset about the situation in Ukraine and the whole world in general, actually. But I have had a heart for Ukraine and proud of them for quite sometime long before this mess. I pretty much felt like drowning myself in my work and not even think about airguns or any pleasure or the world for that matter. I’ll get over it, we Americans always do. Not going to get into politics, there’s no point and there’s no place for it here on the GTA. I’m just saying, I’m still a soldier at heart and yet, now all I do is fix air conditioners & refrigeration to provide for my family. In a couple weeks, I’ll add cutting the grass to my responsibilities and occupied time. My only pleasure is airguns. If I’m not shooting airguns, I’m on the GTA to fill that niche through you all. This morning, I just couldn’t get over it. I hope someday, I can just not have a care but maybe breakfast and pull out an airgun til the sun goes down… End of rant.~

Good afternoon all! Today we had my dad's memorial service, I know it's late considering he passed away on Sept 28th 2021 but we had reason to wait for it.
  It was a celebration of life service which was great and with "World Famous Tacos" (my dad loved their Tacos) for all afterwards. My son and his wife who live in MO were able to be here since Wednesday and just left to drive back to MO about 3:30, I hope and pray he has good weather and good roads all the way home. It was a great service I read the obituary aloud that he wrote for himself back on August 2nd 2020 with just a couple updates. I must say my dad tried to plan everything and did well even with his own obituary. Before I found it on his computer I had started to write an obituary and mine was exactly like part of his, he had greater details that I was unaware of and he really told his story. He even had picked out the songs he wanted to be played.


Dad was very thoughtful and always took care of business to the best of his ability, and he was a very able and driven person. He was one person I would describe as Jack of all trades, master of all too!


I had volunteered to plan and officiate the service, but my dad really did most of the planning. 
My son was very close to his grandpa and he is a pastor also as they planned he gave a message today that would have made his grandpa very proud of him.


My wife and I setup the chairs and tables this morning for the food and had help taking them down and putting them away. I am exhausted now though, and plan on going to bed early tonight.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I’m sitting here having coffee, getting caught up in the GTA. My dispatcher got canned on Friday. So they have me going to a job I don’t have filters for, and they’re special order filters. So, I get to take my time and call in at 0800 to find out what I’m supposed to do today.

 Mornin y’all.  It’s my day off so me and the dogs slept in.  Today the garden goes in the ground.  We’ve been germinating seeds and hardening seedlings for the last three weeks.  All that is left of our winter garden is some cabbage and cauliflower.  Today I’ll be planting tomatoes, peppers, squash, and okra.  I want to harden the peas a bit longer before I plant them.

Spring planting is one of the spiritual high points of the year.  It's months away for most of us.

Nothing odd today.  Work, taking care of the dogs and cats, maybe mounting the roof racks on our Element.

We'll be picking up the boys from the airport after work- Sonja and I very much appreciated having the home to ourselves.  It was generally quiet.  All we did after work was a walk, fix dinner, and then bedtime.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! Up at 0500 CT. With my office short staffed I don’t have a job lined up. But I have parts that need to go somewhere. I’ll get Ayrabella on the bus and call the office. It’s supposed to get to 70* today!

Field stripped the 10/22 (.22lr) for a good cleaning and lube.
Soldered a new 9v battery connector onto the P.A.C.T. MKIV Chronograph/Timer.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0400 CT. I’ve got my 0600 Wednesday morning meeting with guys from Ch**ch. Then I’m going to visit my chiropractor and then head to work. Spring has sprung for us in the field, I’m going to do a Spring PM and clean condenser coils. Yay!

Good morning GTA! I was up at 6:30 this morning after going to bed late, I think I did get a solid 4 1/2 hours sleep.
I ate junk food yesterday with my granddaughters and am sure that had a lot to do with the being up late with heartburn. Oh well we had a great time, LOL.

I have more estate issues to deal with today, but hope to finish the temporary "patina preservation" on my 1969 GMC too.
I have been meaning to but not got around to it until now.
For now I am just going the quick, easy, and cheap route (boiled Linseed oil method). It is suppose to be about the same as the last couple of days 85°F and sunny today and rain by Friday.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! Up at 0430 CT. I’m finishing my second cup of coffee and I’ll head down the road. I have a 2 1/2 hour ride to look at a 3 door cooler. It’s a year out of warranty and I have no notes on what it’s doing or not doing. I guess I’ll see when I get there. Hopefully, I’ll see the elk that reside in the area.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! Up at 0430 CT. Having my second coffee and I’ll head out to work shortly. I have to go about an hour & a half south to replace a heat exchanger in a rooftop unit. But, first I have to visit the job I was on last night, about 45 minutes north. I was just about to get the unit running and the power went out. Not just the store, but a large part of town. I hung out for 45 minutes and went home. Hopefully, everything’s on and ready when I get there.

Going in to work for 4 hours this morning. This afternoon Betty Lou and I will go to the courthouse to have her name changed on her documents. Then it's off to the sheriff's dept to renew my ccw. From there we'll drop the z360 off for repairs (I think it needs a solenoid).
After that I'll be in the mancave sighting in a couple airguns for short range shooting. We have the fence project to begin Saturday morning and need to prepare for the snake attacks.

Good morning GTA! Thank goodness it's Friday! Up at 0400 CT. About to have my second coffee of the morning. The last two days I've enjoyed shooting my HW50-.22. I'm amazed how accurate that rifle is. It was so easy to stack 'em at 25 yards that last year I moved the zero out to 35 yds.  Today I would like to bring the Diana 34 - .177 out.

Bill, I hate snakes and although I usually kill them with garden tools; .22lr pistols and rifles, centerfire pistols and revolvers, and airguns are fun too use also but my all-time favorite for killing snakes is my single shot .410 shotgun.  At 5 yards their head literally disappears. And if I can't get a shot at their head because they are moving so fast the .410 will still completely disable them.  And I love the smell of burnt shotgun powder. Hmm so good. 

By the way, I only kill the poisonous ones, all others get a pass.

I feel the weather turning to warmer days. Looks like rain tonight, that will eat up the snow on the ground and open up some yards to absorb sunlight. The warmup is beginning!

You probably have the 'no trespassing' signs posted to high off the ground for them to take notice of them though.

Silly Wet at Diablo this Sunday.
I have been shooting the HW35e with peeps at the short range pistol ranges along with the IZH46M.
I will shoot the IZZY on Sunday but will shoot the 12fpe TX200 for kicks.
So I took the TX out for a quick 50 shots offhand at 10 yards.
With the new AA Factory rebuild kit the rifle is sure not as harsh as it was.
At touch-off you feel absolutely no movement at all.
Now, this old fart just has to control the wobbles…
