Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! Up at 0530 CT… 19* outside and it’s snowing. It started about 1700 last night and it’s supposed to keep coming until early Friday morning. I’m probably just hanging out at home, so I’m not sure what I want to do today… coffee first.

"Official" snow day here. County declared "Code Red Snow Emergency" so it is illegal to be on the roads except for emergency vehicles.
I am working from home, kinda like an "E-Learning Day" for school kids nowadays.

4" overnight on top of the 5" we got yesterday... still snowing and the wind is picking up.

I used the monster snow-blower on my y 600' driveway yesterday until 19:00 and you can't even tell.

Suiting up now to do it again to try and stay on top of it.

Well this inhales sharply. The temps here are in the low fifties but the wind is blowing hard. Couldn’t spot any squirrels or hear any in the woods this a.m. Got to buckle down and be a responsible adult for the rest of the day.

It was a brisk 40* f today and when I drove the Harley home from the shop a 3 pm it was a chilly 59* I guess the winters here are going to be tough to take

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! Up at 0415 CT… 19* again and still snowing. I shoveled twice yesterday. It should stop around 0800 maybe. Today I’ll shovel one last time after it stops and throw down ice melt… then I’m done with winter, I think. It’s supposed to get a little warmer each day this week towards the mid-50*s.

Mornin y’all. I’ve got one more “honey do” task to complete and I’m free for the rest of the day. Probably going to go drop some crab pots in a few “honey holes”. Then it’s off to the national forest WMA for some afternoon small game hunting! Wish me luck!

Up at 5:00 and checked the driveway in case it was blown shut.
Apparently we did NOT get the wind that was forecasted! YIPEE
Code Red was lifted during the night
5* f ... but the roads were plowed so I made it to work at 6:30.

Now to make it through the day here, THEN I am grilling Burgers with Fries and Onion rings at the Lodge this evening.

Well, I have the other extreme.... too much water.
The tank is full and the toilet and shower won't drain.. at least not fast enough.
No more rain coming so it will drain soon. This sandy area holds water but drains fast.
The problem is, I don't do well without my shower in the morning... so I called in a vacation day and I'm shagging grounders from home via phone and text.
Supposed to be sunny and hovering 60* this whole weekend. Perfect weather as far as I'm concerned. But man, is it ever wet out there. I have to wear the gum boots just to walk to the mancave.
Rambo don't like the rain so he runs out and does his business then comes back in. Boss, on the other hand.... $:-\$
That knucklehead loves it... the muddier the better for her.

FedEx is due to come but I don't want them driving up in the yard in this mess so I closed the gate and I'll just tell them to put the little package in the mailbox when they pull up and blow the horn. If I'm in the mancave I can just step out and catch them.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! Up at 0500 CT. Supposed to be a heat wave today, 40* or above. I’m planning on shooting some airguns when I peaks. Otherwise, I’m thinking I should setup my new desk and do some tightening up indoors. Maybe we’ll put the Christmas tree up.

The end of an era! I’m selling my last air cooled VW. 1974 type 181. Going to take some pictures for the Auto Trader and get it posted on line. I gave my 73’ cabriolet to my brother a couple of years ago and with this Thing sold I’ll be out of the VW business. Now I’m looking for a 74’ Suzuki Water Buffalo to restore!
Oh yeah! I’ll be heading out to the woods at some point. With the end of dog season the woods have become much more pleasant.

I have been up for a couple of hours. The hot air balloonist are up too. sorry about the blurry pics but they do show 11 there were 12 balloons just west of me just before I snapped the pics, the distant ones were landing. It was about 40° at my place when the pics were taken. I bet that was a cold ride.

Getting rid of Dish network and getting Direct TV in it's place. Dish hasn't had NBC for about 4 months now and the Superbowl is on NBC so Dish had to go. Of course dish email last night that it's back but it's too late. Installer is almost here right now.

Not as cold as you might think.. I was told you can read a news paper in one because you ride with the wind. There is virtually no wind.
