Well, I have had Great Danes in the past that would not move until I attempted to step over them, then they would jump up. I am just glad Hank does not care a bit if he is stepped over, or stepped on, he is not going to move unless he is told to. If a Great Dane jumps to his feet while you have one foot over it is near impossible to not get knocked down. I have fallen over Hank and he acted like he didn't even notice, not even raising his head. I too have learned to shuffle and keep on hand on the dresser or chest of drawers when they are in reach.

In the last seven years Hank has ruined an antique floor lamp and a couple of lamp shades with his tail. Since I don't wear a cup around the house I have to stay alert for that tail too. He has doubled me over a couple of times when he was happy and wagging it.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! Up at 0400 CT. My wife says she’s going grocery shopping early… it’s supposed to be a nice day today mid-50*s, but probably windy 10-20mph. I’m definitely going to do some shooting. But I also need to straighten up some stuff outside. It looks like we may get some winter weather Wednesday to Thursday. I might repaint some steel targets while I’m at it.

They added Saturday to this week but I put in for 4 hours vacation this afternoon.
It promises to be sunny and brisk... sunny is good, and brisk I can handle.

Another reason I'll never get a mastiff again. Been there many times. If I get a dog again it will be medium size like a pit bull.

Headed out around 7:30 to Andalusia. Need tobacco products and a stop at the Piggly Wiggly for a propane bottle exchange. At $14 and change they are the cheapest I've found. Then maybe a walk through Wally World and find a place to grab a bite to eat.
It should warm up some by the time we get back. Lots of tinker ideas rolling around in my head.

Weatherman says warm today, not too windy. I've found some open water to fish (no ice!). I'll try it this afternoon for a few, some fresh fish for supper would be nice.

Plink a little with my D460 while I soak bait and wait for a bite.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! Up at 0400 CT. We have Ch**ch today and small group this evening. My wife is singing today, so I have to drop her off early. But, still, it’s supposed to be in the upper 50*s today. I plan on checking and cleaning the gutters: they’re talking a lot of rain, ice and snow for the middle of the week. It’d be nice to shoot a bit in between sometime.

Friday, Daughter #3 came home... brought her fiance' and his two boys.
Elijah (6) and Asher (4).
They are staying until Monday.... needless to say I have been occupied.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday, back to the grind! Up at 0400 CT. I’ve got a 2 hour ride to work, I’m going to hit the road in about an hour. I have a guy that’s going to meet me to help get a compressor to the roof for a 5 ton air conditioner that needs a replacement. I have another unit that needs a control board. Of course, this is once again, not my quote. Hopefully, all goes well… should be in the mid-60*s, not a bad day to be on the roof.

I got the snow blower staged, kerosene and propane heaters in the house, gas and kerosene cans filled...
Flash lights, candles, and batteries on the kitchen table... and dry fire-wood in the garage.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! Up at 0430 CT. Yesterday went as well as could be expected, everything was wrong, but we got it up & running. Today is more of the same. A condenser coil and receiver for a freezer that I didn’t write up for. But I got my helper again.

It really looks like we’ve got some weather coming, and I’m not so sure I’m ready. I hope to get home at a decent time to go over last minute things. I have a small generator, but I’ve never had to use it. We should be good, we’ve had a lot of snow & ice before. I guess we’ll just have to see. Once our roads are iced, there’s no getting off our mountain until it’s cleared by the sun. I’ve always said, there’s one snow plow and we’re last on their list, by the time they get here it’s too late.

Well, I’m off to work… I hope everyone has a great one today!

Already working this morning.... from my recliner...

We have this one trucking company that insists on dropping trailers at one of our dock doors and driving off. I have 4 doors on my end of the loading dock, 2 are prearranged drop and swap and 2 are for live loads. These folks can't seem to get with the program and I'm forever requesting them to move a trailer. It's got to the point that I'm just not nice about it anymore. This morning's text to the dispatcher was a simple "move your trailer... again". $:-\$
Their response was just as simple.... "OK".
