Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! Up at 0500 CT. It was in the 70*s yesterday and now it’s only 35* outside. I’m having coffee with the dogs right now. But, I’m going to get ready here soon. I’m going to open up the garage door opener kit and check it out. There’s an install video I’m going to look into and probably have more coffee to get revved up to get it done. If I can knock this thing out in a reasonable amount of time, when my wife goes to work, I just might be able to shoot airguns later. 

I was w awake at 0330 I got up at 0400 it is currently 34 degrees, I let Kellen out and she didn't want to stay out for her usual 20 minutes for some reason LOL, she had her sweater on.

It looks like today is getting to 65, and is the 10 day high. The nearby mountains got a little dusting of snow too.
I haven't covered the evaporative coolers of window air conditioners and need to do especially the roof mounted one, it just acts as a large hole in the roof when running the heater which is not good. There is a weather station 4 miles away that is reporting 27 right now, temps around the valley do vary by up to 10 degrees within a couple of miles which is real apparent when riding a motorcycle around town.

This is our winter weather, burr ... LOL

It got up to 91 December 1st according to this nearby, though I think it was just 89 at my house.

So for visitors traveling to Hemet it's recommend wearing layers. So maybe a skirt, t-shirt, shorts for during the day and jeans and a warm jacket for some days and evenings.

Yesterday I had lunch with my younger brother we then said our goodbyes. Then I went back to the house to continue packing my tools for the trip to AZ. Last evening I had dinner with my son and family then repeated the goodbyes with my son and daughter-in-law and grandkids. Today is finishing packing tools and begin loading the truck for the trip to AZ.

Tomorrow will be a chill day and hook up the trailer and bring it back to the house and park across from my house. Then dinner with the stepsons and their mom. I plan on being to bed by 9 PM and up and out by 3:30 to start my trip to Mesa AZ. This is the first step at the start of the next chapter in my book.

Good luck with that I had a wisdom tooth pulled last spring that the navy dentist said needed to be pulled out way back in 1967. It finally caused enough trouble that I finally had it pulled 54 years later 

First thing the military did to me after getting to my first duty station was reach into my mouth and yank all 4 of my wisdom teeth.  I think it was so I wouldn't catch on to how stupid the military can run things some times?  Carry on

Same deal here but at my semi annual cleaning last week, I was told that it was a good thing they took them out then since I have such a small mouth. My wife does not agree though, she says I have a BIG MOUTH!

It's a balmy 77 here. Sun is poking in and out. No wind.
However, I just got a tornado warning on the phone. It said conditions are right 30 miles away moving at 30mp and heading this way.
Strange indeed.

I was shooting momma's Bandit for the 10m competition but it's apparent that I can no longer use open sights as I ended up with very nice shotgun patterns but nothing that my ego would be willing to post here for all to see. 

We are off to go see For King and Country tonight, I hope they have plowed all the streets after last nights snow storm, we only got an inch so its already cleared off our roads.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! Up at 0430, and I slept in my own bed last night. I really do not want any part of that kind of job again. Though, they left out 2 components of the control system I needed to start it up, I’ll need to go back when they arrive to put them in… during the day time! That job put a whooping on my body and mind. This morning, I’m going to the chiropractor to get straightened out a bit. Then I’ve got a job halfway back home that another tech left down for me to fix. After that, I’m going home for the weekend. Well, actually, I’m going to stop at Lowe’s on the way home to pickup a new garage door opener/motor. I’m done fiddling with the old one, the remote feature no longer works at all.

A spring broke on my garage door the other day so I was having to help lift the door so the motor wouldn't cut off. I was very glad when the new springs arrived. Hopefully the motor install goes ok for you without being a royal pita.

Thanks, Gil. I got the new one, it should go well. I had a spring break a few years ago. I lucked out and bought 2 new springs from a local guy just starting out on his own that left a company that shut down. I wound up letting him put them in and he even replaced the bottom door seal/cushion.

I haven't looked close at mine to see how it's attached but I need a replacement bottom seal too. Hoping it's just screwed in and not glued on.

I think it just slides in from the side through a track.

I did get my garage door opener work done, it’s a great improvement… didn’t get to shoot today though.

Finished packing up today tomorrow I will do a final load and balance of the truck and trailer I have to take some of the weight out of the pickup and move it into the trailer and balance the tongue weight. hook up and move it to across the street from my present address and then 3:30 AM hit the road and be out of the NY tri-state area by 6 AM. If all goes well I should be near Dandridge TN by 3 or 4 in the afternoon of day one.

Good morning GTA! Up at 06-something CT. Happy Sunday! I haven’t had much of a day off in 2 weeks. The garage door opener is complete, my van is in pretty good shape… I do need to get caught up on laundry and a few other little things before the week starts up again. I’m going to literally just take a break/rest today besides those things. My wife is going to Ch**ch this morning. I think I’m going to shower and just put on sweats & sneakers when she gets up. I also need to figure out what I’m getting my wife for Christmas. We’ve always been more about the kids for gifts, we’ve always thought it was hard to pick gifts for each other, this year is no exception. We have never wanted to spend money just for the sake of the holiday on something the other may not even want. We’ve been done with Christmas shopping for the girls for awhile, which is nice. But I’d like to figure something out nice for her, we’ll see.

Lesson learned, going to bed at 2 AM is too much for this old guy, I will NOT be doing that again, too many people, awful traffic (4 hours to get home that's normally 1-1/2 hours) and folding chairs? Ugh...

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! Up just after 0500 CT. I don’t have a first call for work this morning. I’m hoping it stays that way. It’s 44* right now and supposed to get up to around 64* today. Later in the week we might get some rain. I’d really like to get the mower out, sharpen the blades and run over the lawn real good. Get rid of these last bunches of leaves that showed up and the straggler grass that’s still grown. But that could change if the office finds something for me to do.

I was up at 4:00, I have been just checking my emails and drinking coffee. It was 36 degrees at 6:00 and our forecast high is 56 today. I plan/need to cover the coolers and air conditioners today since I have not got that done yet. Without them covered we are wasting energy and the house is feeling a bit drafty too. We have a good chance of rain tomorrow so it would not be a good idea to put it off one more day.
