Just trying to muttle through this next 3 weeks before our 11 day Winter shutdown here at work.
No doubt this will be the longest 3 weeks of the year....

Yep, we're up.  We are in our RV on Wright Patman Lake.  A little later, this morning, we're hitching up and moving down to Lake O' The Pines for a week and then on to home for the holidays....maybe.

Enjoy the travels, I'm leaving Long Island NY for Mesa AZ on 12/12/2021 this Sunday at ~4:30 am to beat the traffic out of the NY metro area and onto the Interstate 81 south for the first part of my trip. The first overnight will be Winchester VA then somewhere in Tennessee near Pidgeon Forge for the second night. The third day should get me near Texas then FT Worth area by day four. After that will be Pecos TX

My sister that is a late starter and I will meet up at about 10:00 to inventory my dads valuables. We have to do an inventory of his coin collection as part of those valuables and that is going to be hours by itself. In the late 1950's and early 1960's my mom worked in a bank and she would buy rolls of coins constantly and they would look through them for silver coins in great condition and rare coins and return the rest as payment for the next ones. The collection they had is fills a few boxes. They just always kept them for a rainy day, well it is raining off and on today. Now they will have to be sold and the money deposited in our Family Trust.

I was up at 4:45 after 4 hours sleep 
Oh well I feel good. I took the trash out to the road at about 5:00. I am drinking coffee with Coffee mate Peppermint Mocha creamer.

Back from the woods.  Didn’t see any squirrels but I did score another nice lion’s mane mushroom.  Talked to the pretty hydrologist again.  She was checking the depth at the river gauge.  A really, really great morning!

Good morning/afternoon GTA! My schedule is so out of whack, I hardly know what day it is. This was a bigger job with fewer people than I thought it was supposed to be. Monday we worked until 0430 Tuesday morning. Yesterday we were back at it about 1800 until 0330 this morning. Today we’re getting at it at 1530 hrs to hopefully tie it all up. We should be able to cut everyone loose by midnight. I’ll probably stick around to close out the job tomorrow morning and make sure the energy management system is online with the new equipment, hopefully head towards home after that.

I do not miss the HVAC service work even though I made great money18 hour days are the pits and the worst is having to go up on a roof at night and wind blowing with a minus whatever wind chill trying to get a package unit gas heat to fire after replacing an OEM ignition control with a generic aftermarket control because that is all you have on the truck at the moment

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! Up at 0430, and I slept in my own bed last night. I really do not want any part of that kind of job again. Though, they left out 2 components of the control system I needed to start it up, I’ll need to go back when they arrive to put them in… during the day time! That job put a whooping on my body and mind. This morning, I’m going to the chiropractor to get straightened out a bit. Then I’ve got a job halfway back home that another tech left down for me to fix. After that, I’m going home for the weekend. Well, actually, I’m going to stop at Lowe’s on the way home to pickup a new garage door opener/motor. I’m done fiddling with the old one, the remote feature no longer works at all.

Howdy neighbors and friends....
Hopefully I can cut out of work early today. I have to do a layout on  3 new rack systems we installed but that should go pretty smooth and quick. Longest part will be transferring the data from paper to Excel. I already made the form so, at least that part is done. No production today so those folks won't be in the way. Only 2 trucks coming so I should be able to let the guys go at noon, if not before.
It's a wet and sloppy day but the temps will be near 80*. Rain expected tomorrow too but Sunday promises to be dryer. The rain may force me to work in the bar/mancave organizing all the stuff we put in there from the move. I need to pull the battery out of the 0turn and see if it will charge or if it needs a new one. I also need to put those new mulching blades on it.
2 more weeks until Winter shutdown. That will be 11 days off...... woo hoo.
I want to make time to get numbers and adjust the new Beeman 1358 puppy.

Good luck with that I had a wisdom tooth pulled last spring that the navy dentist said needed to be pulled out way back in 1967. It finally caused enough trouble that I finally had it pulled 54 years later

A spring broke on my garage door the other day so I was having to help lift the door so the motor wouldn't cut off. I was very glad when the new springs arrived. Hopefully the motor install goes ok for you without being a royal pita.

First thing the military did to me after getting to my first duty station was reach into my mouth and yank all 4 of my wisdom teeth.  I think it was so I wouldn't catch on to how stupid the military can run things some times?  Carry on

Thanks, Gil. I got the new one, it should go well. I had a spring break a few years ago. I lucked out and bought 2 new springs from a local guy just starting out on his own that left a company that shut down. I wound up letting him put them in and he even replaced the bottom door seal/cushion.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! Up at 0500 CT. It was in the 70*s yesterday and now it’s only 35* outside. I’m having coffee with the dogs right now. But, I’m going to get ready here soon. I’m going to open up the garage door opener kit and check it out. There’s an install video I’m going to look into and probably have more coffee to get revved up to get it done. If I can knock this thing out in a reasonable amount of time, when my wife goes to work, I just might be able to shoot airguns later.
