Just messin' with ya Dan.In the hunt for new lug nuts, floor mats, driver side window switch, rear wiper motor, fan relay on the AC for the new vehicle. Not bad for a used vehicle compared to what I have looked at in the last few weeks, some vehicles(and their owners) needed to be scrapped.

And even found something reasonable. Around here the owners are asking for the sky or more. You've heard of the sky's the limit? That was before the chip shortages, the sky is no longer the limit.

Dan, I would have never thought of buying used vehicles 20 years ago but now with all the electronic garbage added to them(just more things to go wrong later on), it telling you how to drive, and shutting off at inopportune times because you forgot to buckle the seat belt, to me that is a disaster waiting to happen. I don't have $40,000 to buy it either. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to get this one, it had only 138,221(2005 model) miles on it, I am the 4th owner of it. It was spotless on the inside, no stains, no smells, all the seat latches worked, the seats were stain free and no tears. The doors don't squeak or bind and shut tight, the sliding doors are smooth and no grinding or catching on something. No play in the steering, tranny shifts smoothly, no rattles in the suspension, the brakes are in excellent condition, no codes on the code reader, no leaking on or around the engine radiator, or transmission. AC blows super cold. I have a just a few things to fix but nothing major that will empty out the bank. Another reason I bought this one at it's age, I can still repair it with out having to go to a shop. Between a service manual and YT, I will be able to do most of the normal wear and tear repairs on it. As for the price, it was in my range and well worth it. Dan I have seen some really ridiculous prices on vehicles around here, I would say most of them weren't worth the asking price with the age and shape they were in. Most of the problems that kept popping up with these vehicles was from just plain lack of maintenance on them, people just got in them and drove them till they blew up. This one I bought has almost all the amenities in it, the only thing missing is the hot tub.
My parts I ordered for two of my Hatsan rifle are sitting in a USPS distribution hub 18 miles away. I was hoping they would get here today but tracking is showing delivery tomorrow. What??? Two days to travel 18 miles??? What's up with that?
Kris, I am wishing a good experience for you at DMV.Here in Murfreesboro, we have one of the best group of people working at the DMV that I have ever experienced. They actually smile at you and do nice things without being asked.Example: When I got the first Tennessee license plate for my 42 year old FORD F100, I was supposed to surrender the original title. My father was the dealer at the time I bought the truck and his was the signature on the title. The lady I was dealing with, leaned back and asked another worker to please photocopy the title. When the coworker came back with the original and copy, my lady handed me the ORIGINAL. As the original owner with the original title, She realized that title was valuable to me without know the dealer was my father. It took several day for the smile to wear off.Kris, I hope your DMV person is that kind!
