Mornin' Carter. I woke up at 0430 CDT as well but this is not uncommon for me at all, actually may be closer to my normal time. I've been out in the garage working on another spinner rack project. Thought I would come in for some coffee and saw your post. Sorry about your insomnia.

Where is your blind located?  Is your blind elevated? Do you have a night vision scope or binoculars or is your blind near an outside light?

Good morning GTA! Up at 0430 CDT. Hope everyone has a nice Labor Day planned. I might even get to shoot this morning when the daylight breaks.

Sitting here trying to decide if I'm going to shoot my Walther Parrus. 177 this morning or not.  This is one lady that I haven't tamed yet I'm hoping that the .177 version is as accurate as my .22 version.

Or I might just decide on one of the Weihrauch rifles this morning. 

Ive been thinking about making a spinner rack to permanently hold six of those HIRAM Resetting Targets.

Good morning GTA! Happy Labor Day! Up at 0415 CT. I won’t be working today, but my wife has to. I’ll drive her to work and come back home and really get my day started. I got the Octane Elite figured out, so I’m going to rest from it and shoot the FWB Sport, XS60C and QB78D this morning. Today is Ayrabella’s last day to sleep in. Tomorrow will be her first day of in person back to school. She’s been doing really good, I’m excited for her. She asked me to make her a shield, she’s a Warrior Princess, so I cut one out of a piece of 3/8” plywood and we need to finish it later- paint and a handle. I also need to send out a great big invite to next week’s Barn Meeting, it just so happens to fall on the 11th. 20 years since 9/11, the day many of our lives got turned upside down.

Oh! And the temperature is much cooler this morning… just 63*, it should make its way to 89* for a high today. We still have plenty of warm weather coming, high 80s to mid 90s the next 10 days, but it is much more pleasant when it starts off cool in the mornings.

Oh wow 63°! The heat index was over 100° with 60% humidity yesterday so I'm  wishing for cooler days as well.  63° that must nice John. I'm sitting on the patio with 74° and 96% humidity drinking my coffee listening to shotgun blasts in the distance.  Dove season is upon us.

My wife needed me to help her get some more plastic tubs full of fabric out of the attic. Also she wanted me to wash the tubs she went through yesterday.  So I'm set up just off the patio washing those.

It's just about daylight enough to turn the patio lights off.  Overcast with rain predicted at or just after noon, 50% chance so it probably will.

I need to buy juice some for my sprayer too. What are you using? Juice wise?
Will it kill the hedge that has taken over? If it's against forum policy to promote the use of a herbicide you can just send me a PM.

Hey Dan. Glad to see y’all came through the storm all right.  My blind sits in the hedge row that separates my yard from a pasture. I can watch the pasture and a tree line 100 yards away or I can turn around and watch my yard and my neighbors.  My neighbor has motion controlled lights that will illuminate a lot of my yard. I have a 3 million candle power spot light in the blind on a tripod and a green tactical light on my RIM.  So far I have seen two deer and heard what was probably a turkey this morning.  It’s trash day in my neighborhood and the varmints are usually pretty active.  Nothing this morning.

I mixed the 15 gallon tank about 2 months ago and can't remember what it was I used. I'll know it when I see it at the co op. I think it was like 16 bux a qt. I have to be careful because it kills EVERYTHING it gets on. I don't want to spray all the way out to the edge of the weeds because the rain will 'bleed' it out a foot or so and kill the grass. I think the mix was 2 oz. per gallon of water.

I got the trailer backed up and the gate dropped onto the front deck. Soon as Betty Lou gets done cleaning up after breakfast we'll load the love seat and move it to Killer's. The place is quite a bit smaller so the sofa will going into the 'movie' area of the bar/mancave. It will have 2 end tables and a coffee table.
In the house will be the loveseat, my recliner, the corner closet/gun case, end table, coffee table and trunk (all cedar). I also have 2 gun racks hung that are also cedar. We bought a 10'x12' brown area rug for the living room.
So, by the end of the day we will have the living room and small bedroom basically set up.

Well, I’m about to head in to town to the health department.  Going to get yet another Covid test.  This will be my third.  Even though my wife tested negative last week our daughter and I are still sick and my work wants me to get tested.  So off we go!

That sounds perfect.  I enjoy sitting in my grandkid's fort that's 20 yards from the patio. I can put camo netting up and wait for the squirrels to creep into the pecan tree.  I also have had two corn feeders set up at the tree line. It's fun just to watch the critters moving about.  Sorry to hear you're still feeling bad. It could be the delta variant it does have some different symptoms from the other but I'm hoping you don't.  Both the ladies I worked with in the office at the elementary school have come down with the Delta variant of Covid in the past 2 weeks. Neither had been vaccinated. Maybe you just have a bug.

Thanks for the sympathy Dan.  It may be Covid for all I know.  Anyway, I goofed.  It’s Labor Day and the health department is closed.  So I called work and told them I would be out until at least Wednesday!

Last week we had 80's and 90's mostly but a warming trend. yesterday it hit 111 and I am looking for about 105-107 today as it starts to cool a little again. It is still suppose to be over 100 until Friday though, then cooler next week. We'll see, the second 5 days of the 10 day forecast changes frequently as it gets closer. The humidity dips into the 20% range each day at the heat peak so that helps. A couple of weeks ago we had a week of mid 80's and that was real nice with low humidity and a great breeze.

437 EST. Coffee and some forum surfing to wake up. Lots of training paperwork to catch up on. I have to figure out a new password for my agency login since that expired. 11am run before lunch.
Usual in central Florida. Currently 75 with a high of 90, rain projected in the afternoon.
After work if no rain I’d like to put a 1/4 turn more on my PP700 hammer spring and run a string with the LabRadar. Currently it’s getting 46ish shots and averaging 597fps with a ES of 11.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0355 CT. Back to the grind for me. I’m working in the next town over from us this morning. I have a pump to replace on a freezer. Last week a trucking company was trying to track me down for a delivery. Turns out it’s AC parts for the very same place I’m working at today. Hopefully, he’ll show up while I’m there and I’ll get started on that next. That’s the plan at least. After work, Ayrabella & I have to flip her shield over and paint the other side. We may continue to do that this week after work until it’s smooth & well coated.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0405 CDT. I've had breakfast and the coffee is brewing.  I'm wanting dig out my Walther Parrus .177 and see what kind of groups I can get at 30 yards. Looking back over my notes it seems I still haven't found the perfect pellet for it. So I guess I'll work on that first at 20 or 25 yds.

This Parrus .177 cal rifle has yet to impress me, the .22 cal version is very accurate and I killed at least a dozen squirrels with it last year from my patio.

The Walther Parrus rifles are long and heavy definitely not one I personally would want to lug through the woods. 

It starting off at 72° and humid,  high today is 84° with another afternoon full of scattered thunderstorms.
