Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CT. That’s great news, Brother Dan! I don’t see any rain for us the next 10 days, about 90* everyday. And the humidity, of course. This morning I have to work on an under counter cooler that’s freezing up. I wasn’t expecting that because I have a couple jobs stacked up. But nowhere near as bad as we were during the beginning or the heat of the summer.

Glad to hear that y’all made it through the storm o’kay.  It’s been raining cats and dogs here but nothing else.
I’m finishing a six day week and starting a four day weekend. Thinking about heading over to the county shooting range tomorrow to try some of my guns out on a longer range.

Weather up Nort has been Divine! 78 in the day and low 60's at night. Sunny all day and pretty dry air to boot. Very nice!!

Momma killed the Scion xB last week, she is using my Pilot now so I have been resurrecting an old Chevy Tracker that needs a LOT of TLC! Complete brake job including 11 brake lines, new power steering pump, plugs, wipers, a spare tire, filters and of course, oil. Needs tires too but I'll run these old cracked ones till I get a flat.

I plan on running this thing until the BIL opens up a spot in his schedule for an engine replacement in the Scion then we will have saved up enough to get another car for long term use.

Mornin y’all. Up at 0600 to see what the dogs were carrying on about.  Thought it was some more armadillos so I turned them loose.  Nope.  Bear in the garbage can.  That was fun!  The bear hauled with both dogs in hot pursuit.  After about fifty yards Flytrap figured out that it was a bear she was chasing and started to have second thoughts.  She decided that honor was served when the bear reached the tree line.  Flash had already got a good sniff of the bear and joined me on the porch.  If I had realized there was a bear I never would have turned the dogs loose.  Lucky the dogs quit when they were ahead.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0430 CT. Met with the guys for my Wednesday morning meeting. Hopefully the job I’m on goes well. I’m working on the freezer I left down on Saturday, so it should go well. I’ve got a routine dental appointment today at noon. I’m hoping to take the rest of the day off, maybe get a haircut on the way home.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0520 CT.  My wife was out at daybreak picking up limbs in the back yard. I blew off the patio and started putting the patio furniture back followed by the container plants. Patio Umbrella and fan was the last to go back.
Next I picked up some of the larger limbs then when to my son's shop (we share a shop and equipment shed) to drive the tractor back to grade my driveway.
After grading my drive I drove the tractor around part of the perimeter pushing downed dead wood as I went. In one corner of my property I haul all the dead trees, limbs, leaves, etc that my son and I pick up,  we nevet burn it we just keep hunching it up and it gradually decomposes.
Later, after a prolonged coffee break, I'll put the four ice chests back in the attic.
Tomorrow I will began cutting two of the three yards I cut.

Mornin again y’all.  Went back to bed after the bear incident.  Up at the crack of noon to start my four day weekend.  Gonna lay around the shanty and get a good buzz on.  I ain’t gonna lift a stick to take a lick at a snake today.  Might pick up an air gun though.

Not up until 6:00 this morning. First had to get the 2 trash cans and 1 recycles to the road. I came back in and got my coffee and set down in front of the computer. I read today is the first day of Dove season here, and I heard some distant shot gun blasts so I think someone is Dove hunting within earshot. We are started off in the low 60's and it is 66 with 81% humidity now so it is a beautiful morning. It is just suppose to get to 84 humidity dropping to 41% by then. I have some outside work to do today while it is cool and now that I am feeling back normal recovered from the latest, it is nice to be 100% again. Half my coffee is down, and I am going to head out side now and get started cleaning out my tool shed this time.

Paint shopping after work today. Going to paint the wall behind the stove and fridge an off white enamel. Get a few good coats on it so it's washable. Betty Lou will be on the hunt for various curtains. We also need a 10x13 rug for the living room.
I hit something and bent one of the blades on my 0 turn. I need to fix that this weekend.

I need to get new gator blades for mine Bill. Grateful to have a tractor to lift the mower making the blade change much easier.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0445. Both dogs wanted out and I have to get ready for work. Coffee first, of course. Today’s going to be hot, it’s 74* right now. I have alot of work today, a compressor changeout on one unit and a restriction to repair on another. I’m going to head down the road as soon as I can get my stuff together.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0515 CDT. After breakfast I will hook up the trailer and load the Z-turn, string trimmer,  edger, and gas-mix. I'll be heading out around 0730 to cutting a friends yards. Then to my daughter's house to cut her yard.

Mornin, up at normal time 4:45, no skunks so I went out with the dogs. I go out first to make sure the yard is clear. Seems they get sprayed every time I break protocol.

Off today and tomorrow  with no adult supervision! Plenty of pellets on hand. But I did decide to grab onto a hot pan while helping with dinner last night...idiot! Burned my thumb, trigger and middle finger. I kept ice on them all night which helped a lot.

They seem much better this morning, at least until I forget and use the hand like nothing happened. Shouldn’t hinder shooting much.

The weather is beautiful here so I will go out and cut up some old doors and trim that we recently replaced and get a fire going.

The Red Dog has watched her sister Piglet eat enough cicadas that she has decided that she wants them now too. So they spend their time searching for any they can scarf down.

Dan I am glad the storm didn’t beat you up too bad. I have friends south of NO, survived but things will be a mess there for some time.

Shooting today will be a combo of all 3 rifles. Indoor 10m with the 853, then some outdoor with the HW95 and 30. I may decided to clip a fourth coil from the spring on the 95. Not sure yet, see how it goes today.

Up at 4:45 drinking coffee getting myself hyped up for a day on the road for work. Impatiently waiting for next weekends dove hunting outing.

There is a strong rumor going around the office today that will be confirmed or debunked by lunch time.
Hyundai will shut down Friday thru Tuesday due to the microchip shortage. Rumor has it that we will follow suit.
If that's the case, I will have 2 extra days to work on the cleanup and move into Killer's place. That will put us that much closer to our Nov 1st target date.

Home from the range. . Shot the Anatolian ladies and my 2nd model Crosman 1400.  Started out  at 100 yards but that was just wishful thinking.  Brought it down to fifty yards and I started shooting some good groups with my .25 caliber Hatsan 125 and the model 1400.  I was making 3/4” groups with 17gr Norma FT’s out of the 1400 and 1” groups with the Hatsan shooting 20gr H&N FTT’s.  Now I rarely shoot at small game past 35 yards so this bodes well for the coming hunting season.

Tomorrow will be 4 hours on and 4 hours off all paid.
Monday is a paid holiday.
Tuesday I can take the day off with no pay (kinda strange being on salary but that's the Korean way  ) or I can burn a vacation day.

My plan...
I will work the required 4 hours tomorrow. I will take the no pay on Tuesday.
I have one vacation day left to use before Winter shutdown in December. I want to keep that day in case of emergency. If I don't use it, I will use it on the last day before shutdown.

It looks like IDA has brought more flooding to the Northeast than any other storm. It looks like the death toll will be huge when all the counts come in.

I haven't heard from Arch_ie, I believe he lives on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. I'm sure there are other members on the forum who have been directly affected by this Storm. Our prayers go out to all.

Sorry about your hand, I've done that very thing  so I definitely feel your pain.

Yes the Northeast tri-state area got clobbered Flash floods in NYC Tornados and floods in NJ and PA, CT had flash floods also this morning Metro north and the LIRR had no commuter rail service and the NYC subways were shut down due to flash floods in many of the tunnels. There is still no final counts on deaths related to this once in a 500-year weather event  Global Warming anyone
