WooHoo !! Physical Inventory today... imagine my delight... It's not too bad because none of the lines run during inventory so the air handlers are keeping it somewhat cool. And we don't have forklifts running in and out opening the doors. But let me tell you, it's alot of walking and my old hips are feeling it big time.My guys and I have finished up the raw materials area and we are gonna jump in and help some of the other folks. If all goes well we may get out of here early. Accounting has to approve the counts first. If there is a big gap between physical and system counts, we have to recount. There are always a few problems. Hopefully not too many this time.
Good morning GTA! Up at 0430 CDT. And yes It’s Friday, so a big Happy Friday to everyone. I've had breakfast, gathered the garbage together, I'll take the garbage can to the road at daybreak. I have an appointment at 0800 to drop my daughter's car off at the mechanic. (Since Covid the mechanic has been taking repairs by appointment only. I tried to drop it off 11 days ago and that's when I found this out. I took the first available day. My wife follow and will pick me up and we'll run by the bank afterwards. Please remember the ones who are in her path in your prayers.Tensions are high as Tropical Storm Ida is forecast to become a hurricane over the southeastern Gulf of Mexico in a day or two, and to be at or near major hurricane strength when it approaches the Lousiana coast, forecasters said. All models show it pasing to the west of us and while we're 200 miles from where it's expected to make landfall we're still expecting a lot of rain and wind. If the track takes her farther east say to the Mississippi gulf coast before making landfall our conditions will likely worsen as we're only 88 miles from out coast. And from that scenario it all depends on what strength she reaches before making landfall on our coast.

I meant for this to go at the bottom, where I had been talking about the path of the storm.LOL, I can see why you wrote (?). It looked like I was asking for prayers for those in the path of my wife as she drove to pick me up from dropping my daughter's car off at the mechanic.
Good morning GTA! Up at 0502 CDT. Today I'll be moving the patio plants into the garage, securing all the patio furniture, moving all my spinner racks to a central location and securing them, and prepping the two generators for the expected power outages. Hurricane Ida has her sights on us. Tomorrow night is when we will hunker down for 36 hours of high winds and rain with a possibility of tornadoes. We are taking this storm very seriously.
