Good morning GTA! Today’s my Friday, but my job has been trying to kill me. Got up at 0430 CT, had my meeting with the guys at 0600. I’m traveling 3 1/2 hours to my first (hopefully, only) job, turns out I’m helping a guy get a cooler straightened out that 4 other guys couldn’t fix. Hopefully, fix it and 3 1/2 hours ride home and I’m off 5 days.

I was going to take our grandson float tubing down the Stillwater River, but it's only 48° this morning and it will only reach a predicted 69° late this afternoon.

We are back from vacation and back to work. Very successful convention and was able to assemble a good crew.

Mornin y’all.  Late shift today and the start of another six day week.  Our boss uses a computer algorithm to write our schedule.  It is contrived so that every ranger on staff cycles through all the duty shifts on an equal basis.  It’s great for keeping the assignments uniform but it isn’t very humane.  Late shift one day followed by early shift the next!

Congratulations on advance for having an extended weekend.  It's so hot and humid here I have to start shooting at daybreak, with a fan blowing on me. Then by 10:30 am it's time to retreat to the a/c.

Getting old, are we? What's a little heat and humidity to a dedicated shooter a little REM oil will prevent the rifle from rusting up and a nice cold drink will relieve the heat.

Oh I got the cart before the horse 4-wheeler. Good morning GTA! Today, this morning rather,  I cut and trimmed my daughter's lawn. I've been getting up at 0330 CT and this morning was no different. 

Yesterday I had a flat front tire on my Z-turn. This morning it was flat again. So after cutting her yard this morning,  I got a spray bottle of diluted dish washing soap and found the leak. I cleaned the area an got my plugging tool out of my toolbox and plugged the hole.

I was wringing wet after that. No shooting today.

I guess so. I certainly don't enjoy shooting in the extreme heat. The heat index was already over 100° at 11am.

I tend to do whatever early and when the hot muggies kick in I tend to go inside and enjoy the central air that I installed last fall. 76* with 40% humidity is much more to my liking than 90* with 80% humidity

Good morning GTA!! Down at 2300 last night up at 0315 CDT. I'm really tire of this sleep pattern I've fallen into but it sure makes for good nap in the afternoon. I'm cranking up the Z-turn at daybreak and starting on my yard.
My plan is to only cut half (3 acres) today because it gets so hot early but if I manage to cut all 6 acres I'll be happier.

My Hawke Airmax 4-12x40AO is on track to be delivered Saturday.

Up at 445 as usual. No skunks this morning, but I chased a raccoon out of the yard before I let Red Dog and Piglet out. Not taking the chance of them getting there butts tore up first thing in the morning.

Work from home today. Since the work from home seal was broken they allow two days a week now. You can see that it is killing the managers.

I will put a new face on my trap and shoot the 853 off hand practice. Despite the challenging trigger, I already shoot it better than my HWs off hand. I get a much better sight picture with the hooded peepsight.

We are back the tropics now. High temps, high humidity and dew point in the 70’s.

You need a thread like Avator's Moving...,  just for your travel trailer clean up,  modifications, and packing of the essentials.
Have you tried it out yet, i.e. sleeping in it, showering,  cooking etc.?

Good morning GTA! I’m on vacation, up at 0600 CT. My wife has to work today, Ayrabella has online school. My boss is giving up his van after I’m done with it. So, he’s stopping by to take the rest of his stuff out of it, sometime this morning. So I’m not sure what’s on the agenda entirely, for today. I’ll have to accommodate these things, so I think I’ll do a little bit in the garage and a little bit of target box repair. Maybe paint some steel targets, too. I’d like to shoot a little bit in between it all. We shall see.

Mr. Bae, our department asst. manager has moved on to another company. He got his US citizenship and has a degree in engineering and took the opportunity to use it. Congrats to him.
His replacement, Mr. Chung started on Monday. He had only a couple days last week to spend with Mr. Bae. Just enough to touch on some basics for the job. So, I have been given the task of training my new boss... 
It's all good.. I know Marcus (Mr. Chung). He was a rep for one of our suppliers before he took this job. I've always been able to work with him very well. He will be an asset to our department.

That said, one might ask why I didn't I take the job. Simple answer.. I didn't want the job. It's plenty for me to deal with what's on my plate as it is. See around here, if you promote to a new position you never really leave the old position behind. Those duties just seem to follow you. And if all continues to run smooth the company doesn't see the need to fill the spot. The only way to get it done is by kicking and screaming. I don't like to kick and scream.
The other reason is... I can just about see the light at the end of the tunnel for retirement. I would like to finish this thing out on a downhill slope.

Bummer. I noticed some vibration on my mower deck, I figured a spindle bearing was going out, after an hour mowing there was no doubt.  Roaring and vibrating so I shut her down.  Tomorrow morning I'll start pulling it off to see what bearings I need.
