Dan, I have a sister in Bay Minette. I have been in Foley.
I am just 40 miles south of Montgomery and will be on the western edge of Fred's expected path so we shouldn't get what many others east and south of us will get. Grace is another story.

Thanks Dan.  Fred looks to just dump a lot of rain on us.  The generator is gassed up and the hatches are battened.  We will sit out anything up to a class two.  We have a bug-out plan for anything bigger.  Our place sits on a bluff above the river and it came through Denise (a hundred year flood) without flooding.  It sounds like Kris is situated lower than we are so all prayers for her!

Thanks for the well wishes guys, as of the NHC noon report the storm's center is about 70 miles due south of my location. The center of the storm will pass over my place later today. Wind and rain has increased in the last hour or so. Rain started about 4:30 EST and has not stopped. I am looking at least 10" of rain in the next 24 hours. Not looking forward to whatever Grace brings if she makes it this way. Just have to wait and see how mother nature throws the dice.

Weed whacking. I've got 6 acers of fenced property that is a jungle. I can't use a lawn mower because there's thousands of volcanic rocks all over the place.

Sitting here watching things fly by, the house and roof has rattled a few times in the last hour. The storm made landfall around cape san blas with max sustained winds of 65mph. Just another exciting day on the frontier.

High winds here and about three inches of rain so far.  Loading the truck to go to town.  Chainsaw, chaps, hard hat, shovels, tow chains, gloves.  If I don’t carry it all there is sure to be a tree down across the road and I have to go out to pick my daughter up from her work.

Up at 5:00AM, I slept in today because I had trouble getting to sleep last night. I have been staying up LATE that last few nights and so my body clock was messed up. We had Church from 10-12 and we have the evening Church at 5:00PM. We are having a "Video" night so I should probably take a power nap now so I stay awake for it. We are watch "The Chosen" and then discussing it.

Joined some of our kids and grandkids at Welk Resort

Had fun in the pools, got sun burned a little. I used sunscreen one of my daughters had so it could have been worse. I actually doubt it will peel, I am pink and warm though.
 I have gone there several times the last few years it is under new management and it is obvious that it is going down hill now. Part could be attributed to Covid but I looked reviews and it seems the bad reviews predate Covid. I am glad at this point I never bought into it.

Mornin Y’all.  Fred seems to have left.  Pretty soggy right now.  I’ll wait til daylight to see what needs doing in the yard.  Gonna be a long, wet day!

Mornin' gang. Up at 0330 CDST. This seems to be the norm lately.  The growth rate of our lawn seems to be slowing some but I'm still having to cut the yard more often than usual.  I plan on cutting the lawn I cut for hire this morning.  Then tomorrow my daughter's and Wednesday ours.

It seems that Tropical storm Fred actually made it dryer and hotter than I had hoped. We received zero rain from him, I'm sure those in his wake would have gladly shared some of their rainfall. 

I got an email from D'vor giving me a tracking number for my Hawke Airmax 4-12x40AO. I'm curious when USPS will actually receive the package. 

My pellet trade in the Classifieds is pending so that's good.  I'm really looking forward to cooler weather so I can enjoy my hobby more often.

They just lifted a tornado warning near us. We've had heavy rain and some wind for the last several hours. Been awake since 4:30 listening to the EBS chatter.

Fred just skimmed us as I expected. We were on the west side of the center. Just lots of rain.
I expect more of the same craziness at work today. I wish they would get all their stuff in one sock.
I needs to dry out here so I can get to the mowing I had to skip this past weekend.

Good morning GTA! I sure hope everyone gets through the weather safe. Up at 0500 CT. I haven’t mowed in over 2 weeks. We’re getting a little rain now and we may get some more the next 5 days or so, but it’s sporadic so far and not very much when it does rain. We are pretty dried out & dusty. Today I’m just going one town over to work on a freezer leaking water.

Good Morning all today I will spend a few hours going over the used travel Trailer with a fine-tooth comb and see what needs doing for general owner maintenance. After I have completed my list I will prioritize based on how critical it is. I didn't see much in the way of serious issues. I will probably check out the solar panel and its controller, wiring and all of the connections in the charging system.

Damage surveyed, one huge tree fell on the fence which will involve the tractor to remove most of it, pick up what got strewed all over the yard including chicken pen roofs. Pick the last of my pears off the tree, half of them were blown off yesterday. Total rain fall was 5" inches, the worst of the rain was west of me, Lynne Haven and Panama City took the brunt of the rain. No travel today due to flash flooding in the area, a lot of places are still plugged up with storm debris from Michael and the water has nowhere to go. Just another day in paradise.

Lol... Ya, paradise...  Right up to ll your reminded your in R.E.A, co-op's flimsy power grid.. lol.  I swear these cats have more outages in a week then most have in a year.

So power out stuff is the inconvenience at the moment.

I'm above PC  and rain was spotty  . I got plenty but like a few miles away got far more.   Then it Rains here about everyday late afternoon so so levels were full to start , I need to check the driveway bridge , I'm sure it's over the road some , but it's not like I got to go out anytime soon anyway.

Well I hear backup beepers now . Maybe its wfe trucks / crew pretending to do somthing?

Oh well, guess these lol boil up another pot of campfire coffee and do some shooting to kill off time.
