Thanks John.  God had definitely blessed our marriage. Pam has been my sweetheart since the 5th grade. I dated one other girl a couple of times and she dated one other boy one time before we both realized that we were meant to spend our lives together.  In the 12th grade we had a joint savings account and married just before my junior year in college. She had just finished her 2 year secretarial degree and began working at the university I was attending.  We started our family 4 years later.
It's been a wonderful 48 years.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0415 CT. I'm trying to be really quite this morning.  I'm letting my wife sleep late. Today is our 48th Anniversary! It's one of my wife's best friends birthday this week and she's has been invited to eat lunch today and take in a movie with the birthday girl and another of her best friend but she was reluctant to go because of our anniversary. I encouraged her to go since they don't get to do much together anymore.  Those girls have given each other birthday and Christmas gifts for the past 40 years and I didn't want her to miss out. 
She has been the love of my life since I was 15 years old, we celebrate our marriage every day. 
But as far as celebrating our 48th Wedding anniversary we will be enjoying the Outlaw ribeye steaks from Longhorn Steakhouse tonight.

Happy 48th Wedding anniversary. Your gesture of encouraging her to spend time with her friend on her friends birthday is an unselfish act. That kind of attitude/act helps your marriage to thrive!

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday, tomorrow is Friday! Up at 0600 CT. I got in pretty late last night, about 2330, but it was a good day. I’ve got to go down to Ft. Smith to help the guy down there. Really, he just needs my 12’ ladder. Checked the status on my van yesterday. The remanufactured transmission they put in it is acting like the original. 1st-3rd gears only and reverse is slipping, it’s a 6 speed. Still waiting to find out what they’re going to do about it. Oh well, tomorrow is still Friday.

As of right now, it looks the same for Monday and Tuesday. Thank goodness for salary.

In the late 70's or early 80's my sister-in-law worked at a nationwide well known transmission shop in town, I won't say which one "Beep Beep". I doubt that was "company policy"?
 That particular location would try an additive first and even if it worked the customer was billed for a complete rebuild. They told her it wasn't fraud, it was OK because it left with a lifetime warranty.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday. Up at at 0445 CT this morning.  My wife was up at 0530 and washed a couple of loads of clothes. O hung them out for her.

I chose my R7 to play with this morning.  I was shooting at spoons at 20 yards and spinners at 30 and 35 yds.

I know 35 yds is probably stretching it a tad for a R7 .177 but I'm able to swing (not spin) the 1-1/4" at 35 yds.

Beep-beep MCO is who my company uses. They also use them and the re-man transmissions for the warranty. The only thing I don’t like is being stranded far from home if it goes out. We’re trying to replace the whole fleet. Something like 189 vans, we found 34. They won’t buy another van unless we can replace them all.

Dan that's an incredible story congrats! I can't imagine still being with a girl I dated in the 5th grade. That's really great being with a girl you loved from such a young age where you have a history together from childhood.

Got old power steering fluid all over the garage floor from it spraying out of the line while turning my wheels because I didn't have the line inside the oil pan's spout far enough. Nothing that paper towels and brake cleaner couldn't clean up. Do the job yourself so you know it's done right they said.

Thanks Gil. It has been a wonderful journey.  We were friends through elementary school.  Her mother wouldn't let her date till she was 16 so we rode horses together on Sunday afternoons before we actually started dating.  When she turned 16 our first date was a hayride.

I went ahead and put that 4 hours vacation in for this morning. Gonna work on the clean up at the new place for the next 3 days solid. Go two loads hauled out yesterday. Definitely a hoarder situation.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CT… Happy Friday! I’m going to see my chiropractor this morning and then check on my van. They haven’t called back, so I’m not sure it’s going so well. I have to go to NE Oklahoma this morning and hope to get off work at a decent time today. I have a friend who’s AC is out, I just didn’t have the part. I’ll have to pickup a 40 mfd capacitor on my way out and stop by his house on the way home.

  More transition shopping today getting things I will need to make the travel trailer into my home for the next few years possibly longer depending on how comfortable it turns out to be but for sure at the minimum 3 to 5 years while I decide where to make my permanent home base.
