I hardly had a chance to get outside yesterday and today, I had to get all the materials finished for my fireworking shells building class in West fargo in two weeks. 25 students, 2 days, two shells, competition Tuesday night.

Out doing the self propelled push mow at 7:30 AM. Thought I might avoid the full on sweat,... but no. Only 72* but very humid. Weed spray and laid down a 2' perimeter of ant granuals around the house. Many of ya' all got it worse on heat, humidity and wet weather,.... so I ain't complaining. Low 90's the next few days,... which is slightly above average for Ohio. Been picking some rainbow Swiss chard as of late. Good stuff,... but man it sure does cook down a lot.

We are getting rare rain here right now. Between today and tomorrow it's only predicted to be .31" SO it still won't be wet, but will give the weeds a shot.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0430 CT. This morning, my work van is getting towed to the transmission shop around 0800. The new guy is supposed to pick me up & we’ll work together, for today at the least. A loaner van is supposed to get brought to me, they think later today.

yeah Chris... thanks for asking.. He's pretty much bed ridden but his spirits are high. That fact that Betty Lou and I are taking over his place makes him very happy.

.5" of rain predicted today... glad I got the mowing and much of the outside cleaned up yesterday. Lights should be turned on in the bar today so we can work inside after work all this week.
Having 2 trucks is a blessing... I can leave a trailer hooked up to one and run it done the road and empty it when it's full. I can back it up to the door for easy access and it's under a lean to shed roof.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0550 CT. First thing this morning I'm headed north about 10 miles and cut and trim the yard I'm hired to cut. That's $50 in my pocket I can use to buy a scope mount for my R9.

Thank you for the update. Good spirits are 99.9% of the battle in that situation. At least he is in a stable environment where diet and health can be regularly monitored,... always a good thing vs not doing so.

I was awake at 3:57 but stayed in bed until almost 5 listening to the rain, nice. No real plans for today, but I think the wife and I will go for a drive and see where we end up.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0400 CT. Well, I’m working with the new guy again until they figure out the van situation for me. They didn’t get me a loaner van yesterday. Another guy on the other side of the state got his van back from the same transmission troubles and called me last night. He said it took them 3-4 weeks to put in a remanufactured transmission. Uggggh!

I cut a yard yesterday, ir took an hour just to string trim the yard and fo the edging.  I had to take 2 breaks during that. The hour and a half on the mower afterwards wasn't too bad. The heat was horrendous.  I feel for all the people having to work outside in this heat. I feel for you, I'm no stranger to it myself,  20+ years a UPS driver in a dark brown truck with temps in the package compartment near 150° delivering in South Mississippi in the summer with no air conditioning.

Oh, thanks for reminding me… the AC in the new guy’s van is less than acceptable… I’m going to charge it for him when he picks me up. When I get off a hot roof, a man has got to cool down to do paperwork.

  I don't miss HVAC service in the least. Hot roofs and hotter attics are the worst and right after that is working on commercial equipment in a hot restaurant 

There is also working in a large package unit that has a heating failure in January or February
