Good morning GTA! It is Hump Day! Up at 0400 CT, getting ready to roll. I have a 2.5 hour ride to my 1st job, quoted work. Looking to have a good day, I hope you all do the same.

Mornin..
I was looking at the cluster **** that my inhouse tinker bench has become yesterday. Thought about it and have a plan.. I have 2 standing roller tool cabinets down in the barn shop. I also have a Kennedy upper. Think I'm going to empty the Kennedy into the other cabinets and bring it up for tinker parts and tools.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0540 CT, getting ready to go for a grocery run and pick up Rx. I has hoped to shoot some before the heat rolls in but my wife is taking granddaughters #2 & 3 to the dentist and can't pick up the groceries.

We're looking forward to a lovely day at the DMV. My appointment is at 1015 and the wife's 315. With an hour drive each way the there's no coming home between, so the entire morning and afternoon will be spent.

Please don't be envious, your day is coming.

I sure am glad we don't have that here... we do ours at the probate office in the court house just down the road. It's typically in and out when we go.... no appointment.
I don't miss Columbus, Ohio DMV at all.

The last time I visited the DMV here was to transfer title of my 1973 F 100 to my son. It was drive-thru and took about 10 minutes. Then drove around to the front door and someone delivered the new license plate to my vehicle window. Kool!
Plate renewals are accomplished online.
I don't know about the Driver's License thing since I have not been here long enough to renew.

Pretty much in and out on the BMV here. Due to covid, extensions were put in place and recently expired. While people did not have to wait,... they did,.... and has recently caused huge back ups/issues. Yearly plate stickers have a mail in option, which I always use.

They give new residents 60 days to get an NC license. It's taken us 64 days to get an appointment. Then we have to go to a different office to register our vehicles and trailers. But, it costs about 1/3 than IL did.

Gotta go and pick Robin up at the train station in Homewood Illinois at around noon. We go down to southern Illinois every fourth of July To visit with family and friends at her sister and brother in laws lake house. I always leave late on the fourth to get home for work and she will usually stay a few days with her sister. I'm going to try and get the back yard cut before I leave to go get her, I do miss her tho.

Up at 7, Momma put a butt on the Webber for tonight, perfect weather today after a few very hot and muggy days with a high of 65F. I'll put the new tires and rims on the trailer, get the fenders set, painted and welded on. Then I will measure the deck height and sketch the ramp length so I dont high center when rolling up on to the bed.

Ill order up a pair of crank down stabilizers for the back and get those welded on while I fab the ramps. I hope to have the trailer sandblasted and repainted by the end of August and ready for a trip to the Boundary waters in September.

Take advantage of the dry, rainless moments and clean up what has come down. Then migrate to the shop to finish some wood working. Hopefully it will start to dry out in the next few days to get some major yard work done and get some more fruit trees planted without them drowning.

I am in the midst of DRYNESS, I live in the red circle and there is not much green around. The good news is mosquitos are more scarce than water is. There is a lake less than two miles away and there are mosquitos near it but they dare not venture over into the dryness. How rare you ask, well since 1997 I have only seen a couple here.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0530 CT. Got in late again yesterday and the new guy’s van is going back into the shop, so I have to pick him up from there at 0730. Might as well put it here now, I’m not getting the new rifle this week, maybe not next week either. With my wife working as many hours she’s been working, she lost track of our finances. It’s all good, we have been, and continue to be ridiculously blessed, but we have to pay bills this week and next. So, it looks like I may get it in 2 weeks from Friday. $:-\$

Kris, the frequent storms is one of the two the major reasons I left Louisiana a few years ago. [I was soooo much happier after Thanksgiving.]

So much for demo work. It rained mom and Tuesday, here.

Got called in to work yesterday, and this morning, have an appointment to get beautiful- an every-two-month ordeal. Lol 😆

I told them I could work after my appt, so will drive down there and work approx noon until 7or so.

Awoke at my normal 5:30am alarm... BUT today was not my regular "work" alarm.
Vacation day to haul Hoosier Momma and the camper down to Ft. Loramie OH. for her annual "Ho-Down" with 3 other GILF's. (If you know what a MILF is , add a generation)

I call this the "Ho-Down' because it is my 4th year of hauling the Ho's Down south.... She calls it "Daddy's Bender Weekend".
I drove the camper 2 hours, Set it up, then drove 2 hours home. Reverse procedure Sunday.
I have to work tomorrow but then... I am on my own and all gloves are off.
