Donate blood, get fuel, clean up the weekend storm damage and get ready for more this week, mow what isn't flooded, and watch the weather to see which way the storm is going. Yep, it's flood and mud season.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CDST. I just checked the weather, the arrival of rain today has been bumped up noon. I'm about to step out on the patio with my coffee and make a new plan.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0530 CT. We didn’t get home until after 2300, they kept me up til midnight last night, I’m moving pretty slow. Having coffee with my little dog, Millie. Chopper’s sleeping on the couch. I have to take my wife to work at 0745. Only thing planned for today is to shoot airguns and hangout with my girls.

Thanks Dan, it's just another day in paradise, flooding, mud, and mosquitoes. Just the joys of living on the Gulf coast. Luckily I have indoor projects to keep me busy for a while so it's not all doom and gloom.

Thanks Dan, it's just another day in paradise, flooding, mud, and mosquitoes. Just the joys of living on the Gulf coast. Luckily I have indoor projects to keep me busy for a while so it's not all doom and gloom.

Oh too familiar with living on the gulf coast. When I was growing up (14 to 22 years old) my father had a 4 bedroom 2 bath brick house in Bay St. Louis just off the mouth of Jordan river, we had a covered boat house attached to the house. It survived Camille with 8 ft of water inside. When in my 20s, my wife and I would practically lived there.

Congratulations on alone time. My wife invited my youngest daughter and her two daughters over for lunch. So my plans changed or rather were changed.

I've got the house to clean as the wife's been gone for a week and with me and our 10 dogs plus 1 cat to rule over all of us it's a mess. LoL

Good morning GTA! Up at 0453 CT. It’s back to the grind. But it’s Tuesday already, so tomorrow’s Hump Day. I’ve got to make & bring my own lunch, so I can eat healthier. I also need to wash my van on the way out. I’ll try to be focused at work & healthier living this week… but the only thing on my brain is Friday… I live for the weekends, especially this time of year. But, this upcoming Friday morning I’m hoping to pull the trigger on a new air rifle.

Dental work this morning and more preparations for the storm. Managed to get some of my property mowed without sinking the lawnmower. Hopefully get the rest of it with string mower before the rains start up again.

Good morning all!

Busy past few days!

I did a couple of 12 HR shifts at work, then Sat, had planned to dismantle the floor on my room demo, but it started raining...sigh.
Saturday evening, went to see Mom.
Sunday evening, went redneck dancing, and had great fun. ( and just to set the record straight, I go to dance, NOT looking for dates. Lol 😆)

The music was good, and I essentially had a decent cardio work-out for a couple of hours. 😀

Worked again yesterday after getting a text at 0230 that someone had called in sick.

Soooooo.....
This morning has been a bit lazy. Awakened at 0600 and have been drinking coffee and checking the webz. If rain is not expected later this morning, I will go work more on my demo project.

The drought has hit us hard this spring and a good soaker is running through the area today, the corn sure needs it. I was able to put 40 pellets down range late last night then take Momma out on an icecream date to the local Dollar General, get a quart of double fudge brownie and share it in the city park.

It was a nice ride around and into town, on the way back we slowed down and watched the deer come out of the woods to graze. Very peaceful.

Off to work, meeting tonight at 6. Have a great day, all!
