After work today, Ill continue working on cutting a 2 snowmobile trailer down to 6 feet wide, removing the axle and installing a 3500 lb axle so we can trailer our UTV around.

Im up.  Been up since 8am Wednesday.  Flew tampa, fl to look at 2 boats.  Flight was late, all the flights were late.  It's 120am and im about #50 in line for the rental car i reserved.  Woman 8 people in front of me said she has been in line since 11pm.  My hotel is 1 1/2 hours away and my appointment to see the boat got moved up to 9am.  It's going to be a very long day.

I’ve been up all day too.  I had hernia surgery and now I’m sitting in my armchair with insomnia.  Not in pain.  Just can’t sleep.  Good luck with the boat.  I’m a river rat myself.  I don’t venture past the mouth of the bay.  What are you looking at?

Good morning GTA! Up at 0345 CT. It’s Friday! And I’m on call this weekend. But at least training the new guy is almost complete. We’re going up to Harrison today for a quoted job and a service call. I’ve got to stop at a supply house on the way out. I’ve used so many parts off my truck this week I fear I won’t have what I need if I get called out this weekend. I’m hoping for a good day and a not-so-crazy weekend. Next week the new guy is on his own and we expect much cooler weather and rain possibly.

My wife really is getting into a groove at work, I think she likes it. As things go, my little dog, Millie is not doing so good. I really am hoping she just ate something she shouldn’t have and that she’ll be alright.

Up at 4am.... Rambo made sure of that. He got Boss up and they both got everyone else up.
Today is Friday... not just your typical Friday.. this Friday is the last day of work for 16 days.
This is the Friday I've been anticipating for 6 months since 2020 winter shutdown.
It also tends to be one of the longest days of the year.... 
I'll most likely spend the day at my desk planning all the things I want to do for the next 16 days.
Don't know why I bother... probably won't get to half of it.

I had to look the Compac up.  Looks like a very capable 3 tonner.

The 1st one, although it had a brand new diesel and the sails were in great shape,  I'm going to pass.  The inside was very rough and more work than i want to do.

I finished my yard this morning and was 1/2 way through trimming with my string trimmer when the shaft twisted at the trimmer head.

Called my daughter in law who works in commercial sales at Lowe's and checked on a new one.  Yep, they had what I wanted, so I purchased it over the phone and she'll bring it home this afternoon and I'll pick it up tomorrow. Perk is she used her employee's discount. Yea, win win.

Sweet! All I got for a week was a slow sedan with a engine that sounds just like an electric weed eater that ran out of line. So glad to have my car back. A semi with a flatbed trailer didn't have a sheet of plywood strapped at all and it flew off then damaged my ride. I swerved to miss that but it still hit my mirror damaging the window and door. If I was a biker that sheet could have killed me. Thankfully I had a empty lane to swerve into or else I would've had to duck and hope it didn't impale me through the windshield.

I know that feeling... I had a sheet of ice come off the top of a truck and land in the passenger seat of my pickup... That was crazy because it only crashed through that side of the windshield.
I had no where to go, there was a car in the left lane.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0430 CT. Millie, our little dog seems to be on the mend. My wife took her to the vet yesterday. We think she ate a whole lot of bird seed and who knows what else. By bed time she was more like herself.
Today I have 2 calls on me already. An ice machine 45 minutes north of me, and an AC call 1 1/4 hours south of me. It looks like rain starting tomorrow. We sure could use it, and the cooler temperatures.

Making coffee, and getting ready to hit Walmart first thing. That's when they put the ammo out. Then it's back to the SSS Ranch for some chores...

Been up and down since 2:30. Finally stopped fighting it and rolled out at 4:30. Put the coffee on and me and Rambo sat outside for 15 minutes or so.
Betty Lou and Boss made their return to the living about 20 minutes later. Today begins my 16 day shutdown from work and I'm just gonna chill and go with the flow.

I called my daughter in law who works in commercial sales at Lowe's and she checked and they had one like the one I have. I paid for it over the phone using her employee's discount and she brought it home.
 (Husqvarna 128LD and it accepts attachments, I already have an edger attachment as well as a pole saw attachment so I wanted the same for this reason. )

 Up at 5:50 I went over and picked up my new spring trimmer.  I used the tap-and-go string head from my old trimmer on the new one saving the new one for when this one goes bad.

I started trimming with the new trimmer at 6:30 and finished at 8:30. Then I  put the edger attachment on the old trimmer and edged my patio, front and rear sidewalk and the apron leading up into my garage.

I'm pooped.

Mike I definitely take that as a compliment.  I try to think ahead. My son wanted me to get a Stihl trimmer like his but mine had served me well for the past 12 years and the engine still runs perfectly.
