Quote from: Lt. Dan on June 21, 2021, 10:04:25 AMBeautiful Tom.I love bike rides in the spring and fall. In the summer I have to pick and choose the day because it can be so HOT. About 18 miles away we have a bike trail on an old rail line. It goes about 35 miles. I've not ridden the whole length but it's nothing like what you have. I'm curious why only 5 miles. That's only 2.5 one way. I had stuff to do this morning. I told my wife that I would have the living room carpet vacuumed & shampooed by the time she woke up this morning and I have done that. She is still sleeping. I also was not counting the mile to the trail and the mile back to my home. It was 7 miles total.I will many times, ride 3 times a day... Morning, Noon and Evening. When I was a little younger I would take off for a couple of weeks, up the trails, on Bike/Camping Trips. If I have the time, sometimes I am still gone for the day. Retirement is so demanding ! Best Wishes - Tom

Tom, that is a good looking bicycle. I would venture to guess that is has some years/miles on it!
Cleaning up after Claudette, she finished off what Messy Michael didn't. Yep, it's hurricane season. Mostly high winds from this one but it was enough bring down the dead stuff around here. So out comes the chainsaws and tractor again.

(Well protected vehicle parking and bathroom. ) So for me to load my bike, drive, unload put shoes on I'm looking at 45 minutes before foot hits the pedal. So 45 min on way I'm gonna ride a minimum on 10 to 15 miles. Mine is also a road bike not a mountain bike.
I think I’m gonna get a good buzz on, grab an air rifle and go shoot something.
I have adult beverages often when shooting my airguns... it don't get dangerous until some fool interferes.

Anyway it's time for me to celebrate! This is my 4,000th posts.
I have to find where a 72 year old man that had a stroke on our property yesterday was taken and see if I can visit, see how he is doing and take him his cell phone and glasses? I also need to find somewhere to board his dog because it can't stay here because of barking too much. The dog is friendly, but a one person dog (that is he was with his owner 24/7) and without the owner the dog is obviously upset with a good reason. I could/would deal with the barking if the neighbors could/would, but that's not going to happen. It seems their swimming pool and cement around it amplify all the sounds in the area and blast their house. I also found someone's Drivers License that I am going to drop off at the PD for him to pick up later on.The man that had the stroke is named Dave. Dave was mostly affected with weakness on his left side. He was more worried about his dog than himself and refused medical treatment until he could no longer stand or walk.Only when he gave up hope that it would pass, and he could go about his business did he accept help. Sometimes all the determination in the world is not enough. Now that it is finally close to 8 AM it's time to get busy.
