Good morning all!  Up at 10 (late shift this week).  Gardening some before work.  This is my favorite time of year in the garden.  Everything is bearing.  Beaucoup tomatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers, melons, squash, and peas!
I’ll finish mowing the park today.  That will take half the day.  Then I will pull maintenance and then “patrol” until 9:30 or so.  Something is bound to come up and make life harder though.

Good morning GTA! It’s Friday for real! Haha! Up at 0430 CT. They’re saying today is supposed to be cooler than yesterday, only 93*… I’m going to see the chiropractor at 0700 and when I get back I’m shooting airguns. Until it gets hot that is. Hopefully, I’ll get inside after that and take apart the QB78D and put in the XP Tune kit. Of course, if I get it done, I’ll have to chrono it later this afternoon. 

I was up at 5:00 AM but my low back pain convinced me not to work on my motorcycle brakes like I planned to.

Palm Springs had a high of 120 Tuesday and 122 Thursday, The mountain between helps us some. The beach weather Tuesday was great but the water temp was 63, a little too cool for my liking. I only went in to my inseam. Maybe the Spa water temps have spoiled me.

Tom must have gotten the warning as well. We will be camping on the shore of Superior this weekend, Grandma's Marathon is Saturday and that means going up HWY 61 is a No-Go! Gonna make a a loop through the Iron Range and see some small towns!!

No burn ban in Silver Bay but with 60F for the HIGH temp, we will be happy with the ability to have a camp fire.

@Tom, I have never swam in Lake Superior, I have however spent a lot of time screaming and submerging in its waters. 

At about 40F, the water is....  brisk?

I have swam in Lake Superior but not since I was 50 yrs old. (22 yrs ago)
You can go into hypothermic shock ...real quick out in 20 ft of water........even on a Hot Day.
Your best bet is in close to shore on a sun drenched sandy beach.

2. Grand Marais beach.
3. Apostle Islands Wi. (Madeline Island St. Park beach)
4. Grand Portage beach.
5. Porcupine Mtns. St Park  Mi. UP.
6. Gooseberry Falls St. Park.

It’s always fun reading what you folks are up too.  I’ve never swam in the Great Lakes but I’ve waded a few streams in the Rockies and the Smokies barefoot for trout.  Plenty cold enough for this southern boy!
Temps are pleasant here right now but the river is warm as blood.  Good catfishing weather.

Came home from work at 1600 from the 100 degree plant.
I set down on the couch and had a 4 hour nap.
it is now 03:45 and I am going back to sleep .

Good morning Scott !    Nighty Night Scott !   

I worked in a factory most of my adult life myself.
We had several hydraulic test stands (about 30) with 500 gallon reservoirs. 
One had a 2500 gallon reservior.
The heat exchangers on the test stands were all set to run at 100 degrees F.
In the middle of the plant we had a, fluid & shot beading, casting washer that ran at 200 degrees F.
The washer had a "heated" cleaning fluid reservoir of 1000 gallons.
Needless to say that place got very.....Warm ....in the summer.
I worked there at (Gresen Hydraulics / Dana Mobile Fluid Products Division) for 27 1/2 years.
18 years on third shift, 7 years on second shift and 2 1/2 years on days.
All of my time there was in the Maintenance Department.
I was a Master Repair Machinist Class A.  I also had a Maintenance Electricians license and a HVAC Certification.
It did not matter what shift I was on..in the summer they were all... Hot.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0330, then 0430… then 0500, 
Today is our 12th Wedding Anniversary, and my wife has to work. 
Andi (Andrea) my wife, will be up in 15 minutes, and I’ll drop her off in an hour so I can have the car.
This morning I’m going to do all the line trimming & trim the bushes. The lawn hasn’t grown much this past week in this heat, so I may skip mowing. I need to empty and park my trailer and straighten up my van for work this week.
I’d like to shoot the QB78D & XS60C some more, Andi doesn’t get off work til 1500.
After lunch I’ll take the girls for ice cream & to see mom at work for a minute.
