Good morning all!  I’m dispeptic as usual but I’ll live.  Ive got a difficult decision to make today.  I’ve been offered a new job.  I like my old job and I’m very comfortable with it.  The new job doesn’t offer anymore money and it is a much longer commute but it is a really cool job I’d like to do.  Tough call!

Can you take a "Leave of absence" from your currant job and try out the new one for size?

As a matter of fact I can!  But I’m hoping they offer me an even better job that I interviewed for a week or so later.  It would mean essentially having my own park to manage.  Both jobs are sweet and my current job is a heck of a lot of fun so it was a real delema. 
BTW, I have decided to accept the offered job.  I can still accept the other position if they offer it later.  I’m trading a three minute commute for a 40 minute one but I’ll get to do a lot more interpretation and education.  And drive boats!

Good evening all!
I missed being able to say much for the past three days....was scheduled for two long shifts (Wed and Thu), then was supposed to have today off. I got a text at 0530 that did not awaken me, then the phone rang about 30 min later....the boss wanting me to come in, because a full timer called in sick. I really didn't want to, but decided I should. We are REALLY strapped for nurses right now.

Went and worked, and it was a pretty rough day, but I got out of there by 18305, and drove straight home. Trying to decide which adult beverage I will have, because I think I actually may NEED it. LOL

I a broken spring in my 95 yesterday, but may have fit my piston liner a little snug. I may redo this morning before the grandkids get here. Watching them for a few hours while the daughter in law gets her hair done.

One of the two is brand new, born a week ago!

Then it will be hot today. That should keep the neighbors indoors so I can do some shooting.

Good morning GTA! I woke up at 0430 CDST. I've been browsing through the forums new  post. Just a few more minutes and I'll start mowing my yard. I'll get a lot done hopefully before it gets so hot.  I think I remember the heat index is supposed to be 104°. I can't take the heat like I used to. 

I found my father's old 5-gal bucket with swivel  cushion seat. It's still in perfect shape but the cushion is a joke. It was fine when I was young but my bum is heavier than it used to be. I need to change the cushioning inside the seat.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CDST. It’s been a rough week. I should’ve started my mowing already too. But, my wife has plans for 1000 hrs and I have my monthly Barn Meeting this afternoon/evening. I do have a 4 day staycation starting Thursday. If it stays dry, I could mow & trim Thursday morning, early. I think I’ll take and wash the car this morning, maybe shoot some Co2 rifles after that. Most likely a nap after lunch.

I finally may be able to remove the remainder of that roof in my room demo project today. It looks like just partly cloudy and it isn't supposed to rain, so I need to work fast. I have to get things to the point that I can cover materials up with large tarps to protect.

So.......i expect to be paying the price in pain and exhaustion tonight. 😆

Mornin' Y'all..
Sneaked out of work at 3:00 yesterday to begin my 9 day furlough. Jumped on the 0turn and got the mowing all done here and at Killer's. Then Betty Lou and I went to the shooting bench and shared a jar of 'Happy Pie' while i resighted in the scope on the Avenger and shot the Air Speed a bit... very impressed with both.
Then I got online and ordered a YH compressor.
I rolled out of the sack at around 5am, put on the coffee, let the dogs out and here I am.
During this time off I plan some RV/ATV adventure and lots of shooting.

 I am here in the new great norther desert. Can’t remember the last time it rained. The yard is browner than late August.

A guy can run around neked and never worry about skeeters. I keep watering the garden.
My wife fired me from my mowing job a couple years ago.

Just put my HW95 back together and got the missing velocity back. Now weed the garden and do some shooting.

.What us rangers refer to as the “jungle boat tour” on a 50 passenger sight seeing scow and occasional glass bottomed boat tours if the water quality permits.  But I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that they offer me a position running a big complex of bicycle trails.  Either way I win!
Anyhoo. . .  Up at the crack of noon after six days on.  Only one day off before I start another seven day week.  Summertime is the busy season for a park ranger! 
Today I’m gonna park my lazy butt in a lawn chair with my pipe, drink, and air rifle close at hand.  I will “oversee” my minions, hard at work in the garden.  My unemployed adult children are still living with us so I use them as forced labor.

Set out this morning to buy a dresser... left at 9:00am and went to Enterprise, Al.  Nothing she wanted.. Got back into town at around 1:00pm and stopped at a second hand/antique joint and there it was... exactly what she wanted less than 2 miles from the house...

Real wood furniture is either worth refinishing or recycling the wood now.

yes, real wood... that's why we couldn't find anything new for a reasonable price... this one if 50+ years old. Someone painted it along the way but it can be stripped and refinished if we ever choose to.
