G'morning all!
It was a nice couple of long days of work Wed and Thu. Restless night, waking and sleeping intermittently all night long. Errands to run again today- bank, gasoline fill-up, wash the cars, etc.

Made coffee the first time at around 0300- another pot is dripping. LOL

(why are people so horrible these days? Because they needed their butt busted at the age of two or three yoa, and never had anyone make them learn to behave themselves. )

Never had a "mean girl" issue before. I think I understand what all the fuss is now.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0530 CDST. I’m on call this weekend, but no calls yet. I hope it stays quiet, at least for today.  If I can, I intend to mow, no line trimming this week. It’s dry right now, but we’ve got some rain coming, perhaps tomorrow, even. It’s 60* right now, supposed to get to 77* & sunny. I’m thinking Co2, if I get a chance to shoot today, as well. Ayrabella & I painted all those silhouettes and hadn’t shot them yet.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0530 CDST.  I hope it doesn't rain this morning.  If I can, I intend had planned to shoot my R7 .177 this morning. It’s dry right sprinkling now, but we’ve got some rain coming falling now , perhaps even before noon.  It’s 72° right now, supposed to get to 82° today with 40% chance of rain. Rain 70% tomorrow and rain forecast through next Thursday. 
I'm sitting on my patio now drinking Folgers coffee, medium roast straight black.

What seed did you sow? I need to do some seeding myself probably waited too long. We have Centipede and St Augustine growing right now,

Up early, coffee, pancakes with the kids and grandchildren, going to kiss 100F today, very humid so mowing the yard is going to be hit and miss.

Hoping to tear the Gauntlet down and start tuning it, starting with a barrel cleaning and chamber polishing, open the breech up a thou and polish the TP.

You see what we have to deal with in the South. It's not the high temperature as much as the humidity that goes with it. In Arizona 100° will yield a half-dollar size wet spot of prespiration under your arm. In Mississippi 80° will yield a sweat soaked shirt.

That's pretty normal weather for Minnesota in the summer, dewpoints in the upper 60's to low 70's, 80-90's, those few near 100F days.

I just got the small bag and covered it with this mix lawn repair/straw- https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/ez-straw-lawn-repair-mix-sun-shade-blend-11-lb
I used the rest of the small bag on my immediate front, about 30’x30’ just to see how it does.
Next year I’m going to get the 50# bag of Kentucky 31. In the past I did Bermuda, while it works, over time it looks more like 50/50 grass/weeds.

I have a bag of "Landscapers Mix" that is fescue and KY bluegrass with something else I don't remember... but it does a good job in sun or shade.

That’s good news, Scott! And thank you, I think I’m going to stick with it. Where I already have fescue it’s looks so much better year round.

I have no chance of grass, just dry dirt here with weeds in the spring, fall, and "winter". Our well would not keep up with lawn sprinklers and grass is not going to make it without regular sprinkling. My neighbors have a nice lawn and a swimming pool, and a Water Truck and Water Tank that he has to fill once or twice daily all summer long and at least three times a week the rest of the year. Their 150' deep well went dry about 10 years ago, but ours is 320' and has kept up with our needs so far except the landscaping and trees are suffering. If someone leaves a hose on the well pump safety switch will shut the well pump off after about a half hour or so, and it stays off for about 45 minutes.  So "Desert landscaping, au naturel", here.
