Good evening all!
 Sorry I was unable to post this morning. Very busy day...it was MOMday. Had a good visit with her and we talked, laughed, and drank good coffee, then I went for a late lunch/early dinner at the Asian buffet we have been going to for years. She doesn't feel like going out anymore. Sigh....i have a great mom!

Had lots of errands to run, plus a grocery store run. I probably won't post in the morning...working 13 hr shifts for the next two days. You all have a great couple of days!

Good morning GTA! Up at 0430. Sorry about your Mom, Lizzie. Glad you still get to spend time with her though. Don’t work too hard! It is hump day for us working stiff living for the weekend! I’ve got my Wednesday morning meeting and a 2 hour drive to my first job after that. I was wrong about what weekend is my 4 day, it’s not til the 17th, the middle of the month, how I planned it.  It’s all good. I got targets delivered yesterday and pellets are on the way. I need to save up for my next rifle to add to my arsenal. And I’m pretty sure I’ve got it picked out.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0530 CDST. Today is my wife's birthday.  She was invited by 3 of her friends for lunch today and then to go visit another friend who has been diagnosed with Frontotempotal dementia.

It's probably going to rain today through Sunday, I hope if it doesn't rain anymore today I'll be able to shoot while she's gone.

I got 5 targets delivered yesterday and I received an email from Wing Supply that my pellets are on the way. Well not all if them but 10 of the 16 tins I had ordered.

My Great Dane Hank has a bed on the floor next to my bed. Last night Hank kept whimpering and so I left him outside until he was begging to come back in, started whimpering once he was back inside again. I thought he was just upset because the two babies in the house were fussy since he had been outside long enough to do all his business. So I told him to shut up and go to sleep. It seemed to work.
BUT... I woke up about an hour and a half later 5:55AM to a NASTY MESS, he had explosive Diarrhea. He has a sensitive gut and apparently my great grandbabies shared some food with him that didn't set well. Those kids mean well and love him so much, and they are too young to understand that their food well cause BIG trouble for Hank AND us.

What a terrible way to start the day. It could have been worse because he missed my bed and bedding completely. I am thankful for that.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0530 CDST. Didn’t get home from work until 2115 last night.
Sure hope Hank gets to feeling better, Dan.
I’ve got a water leak to look at as my first call, I guarantee the roof still leaks when it rains, not the AC units. I’ve been there before. But the rain has stopped and it should be a nice day. The place doesn’t open til 1000 hrs, but I’ll try to get there by 0800 so I can get on the roof, check everything out & take pictures.

Got up at 4:00 AM, Made Coffee, Checked email, took the trash to the road at 6:00 AM

Hank slept in his kennel on the back deck last night. I let him out a 6:00 and I picked up the Hanks dog "stuff" of which none was firm at all from yesterday. He will be eating chicken and rice today to see if that helps. He didn't eat yesterday (his choice) it's weird because he is acting like he isn't sick (he drank a normal amount of water). If it wasn't for being aware of what's going in and what's coming out I wouldn't be able to tell he is sick, he is playful and seems to have normal energy.

I am sure the kids fed him something that was no good for him.

Good morning GTA! It’s Friday!, tho I’m on call... up at 0500 CDST. I’ve got another 1st call with a 2 1/2 hour drive. But I actually skipped the chiropractor last week with everything going on and being on call it wouldn’t be prudent to skip again. So, I’m going to visit the chiropractor at 0730 and I’ll have about a 2 hour ride from there. I’m going to Jasper and on the way is where I’ve seen the elk. Usually, early in the morning. But it’s a nice drive still. If I get home and there’s some daylight left, I’ll mow the grass this evening, so I don’t have to this weekend.

Good morning GTA Folks.

I wore up at 2:45 am then went back to bed at 3:45 this morning.
I woke up again at 5:30 am and then got up and made a bowel of oatmeal for breakfast.
Jo Anne & I have a chiropractor appointment today at 9:30 am.
It is going to be hot today, 95F.  That is very hot for this time of year in Minnesota.
It will remain in the 90's all week with high humidity.
Monday of last week it was around 42 F. the normal for this time of year is around 72F.
We are expected to break heat records this coming week.
Our temperatures revolve around where the jet stream is located.
If the jet stream is below us, then we get cool dry Canadian air.
If the jet stream is above us we get hot humid air, strait up from the Texas Gulf area.

I plan on clearing out some dead trees that have fallen around my place and splitting up the larger chunks.
The temp is 72 outside right now, so I am heading out and getting some of this done while it is still relatively cool.
 I also plan on working in the later evening if it cools down a bit.

Well GTA family, if what I'm doing or have planned interests you, well here goes.

Hmmm, well it was a long restless night, cat napped some here and there. Tried pumping up my first PCP and got it about halfway filled when an o-ring on the pump decided to take a vacation.  Lowest bid seals strike again!  Have become quite well versed with this pump's innards, but replacing the seals only wasted more seals. Plumbers tape fixed the leak, but now it wont pump at all, in fact it won't draw air now, and the little ball is free and clean as is where it resides.  A new pump is on the way as the current one came with a bad gauge and suspect heritage so at least the new problem was no major disaster.

Finished the first cup of coffee and the big plan is to hopefully make it to tomorrow. I might put the Hawke scope on the PCP, the proper rings just showed up.  Wow, the Hawke is actually quite nice and the cost was not as bad as I'd thought. 

Been around powder burners since the age of 6, airguns came late in life, mostly break-barrels and a couple of CO2's.  PCP is a whole new world.

We are in a bit of a cooling period, this last few days were near and over 100. Today it is suppose to get to 89 with 24% humidity. We have been getting 12-15 mph winds every afternoon and that is forecast to continue. I have some outside stuff to get done while it is cool enough for me to. I have no desire to work in the summer heat when it is over 90-95 and avoid it mostly.

I am going to go out and clean up and polish my Honda VTX and hopefully fix my 128DB Rivco airhorn that just stopped working, I hope it is a loose wire, blown fuse, or loose hose.

It was a nice couple of long days of work Wed and Thu. Restless night, waking and sleeping intermittently all night long. Errands to run again today- bank, gasoline fill-up, wash the cars, etc.

Made coffee the first time at around 0300- another pot is dripping. LOL

(why are people so horrible these days? Because they needed their butt busted at the age of two or three yoa, and never had anyone make them learn to behave themselves. )

This is what my Grandma used in her coffee. 

My Mother used to rub this on my gums when I was teething as a baby. 

I have Zero alcohol tolerance. I think it is mostly genetic.

My mom was Comanche mixed blood and my dad was Irish & Scottish mixed blood.
