Whoa! That’s some wind, Dan! I’m so glad I got those trees are down. I still think we’ll get our share. A lot of times the weather we get comes from the west or southwest and picks up steam. Even still, I’ve noticed a lot of our weather, the day of, or a day later is similar to yours, just not as much rain. I’ve never understood how the guys in Louisiana get any work done, if it’s not blistering hot, it’s raining.

Just figured I’d sign in to work to see if they fixed it, I do have a dispatch. Another Starbuck’s PM, should be a good day. Quite a bit of work, but good deal for a Friday. Figured I’d also announce my plans for this weekend: I may skip mowing this weekend, it’s not that bad yet, but I need to do the line trimming I didn’t do this week. Saturday evening is our monthly Barn Meeting and Sunday I will Baptize Ayrabella. I ordered her a personalized Bible, should be here Wednesday. This is going to be a pretty epic weekend.

More of the same today, work from home.

If it stops raining I may get to take some shots outside. Been shooting my 95 with a peepsight for the last week, and actually am more consistent off hand with the bigger gun.

My continuing evolution of my “Needs” is telling me I need two more rifles. That way I can have 177 and 22, scoped and iron sighted.

I got ironitus so bad that I bought a Weihrauch LDC to work with open sights. It works very well at getting rid of the tattle-tail snap of the muzzle report.

Here are a couple targets from recent off hand work. The one on the left is my HW95 .22 and the other is my HW30. I actually shoot the 95 better off hand.

I have come a long way since December. Back then it was difficult to figure which bull I was trying to shoot.

With a 30 and 95 on hand, I think a 50 in 177 and an 80 in 22 are the ones. I just need to figure out how to pay for them.

Just packed the memsahib and the kids off to get the kids their first covid vaccination shot. The memsahib and I are scheduled for our second shot on the 21st. Working the late shift this week so I don’t go in until noon. Got a call this morning from the APM at the springs. They want me to come in and interview for a position. I’ll be driving glass bottomed boats for a living if I take it. I got another application in for a job running a big complex of bicycle trails. I honestly don’t know which one I would take if they offer me both!

Good morning GTA! Up at 0430 CDST. Went to the chiropractor yesterday, but after working 13 hours I wrecked my back. Think I’ll drive the wife’s new car this morning to go get my haircut. We got some weather last night, so it’s going to be pretty cool, in the 50*s today. I need to do the line trimming after I get back, hopefully some shooting after that. Tonight is our monthly Barn Meeting, and that’s about it for today.

John I know the back thing very well. I have yet to meet a bone crusher that doesn’t make it worse.

Well after unexpected seal replacement yesterday in the HW95, I will get to do some more shooting. Yesterday was one of the best days for shooting outside, all the neighbors were accounted for. Too bad the gun wasn’t up to it.

Actually blue sky right now, but supposed to rain all day. I’ll do my chores then go to the grocery store, then maybe a nap. I like naps.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0100 CDST due to severe weather then went back to bed at 0230 then up at 0545 CDST. It still raining with almost constant thundering and lightning. We had two massive bands come through with a few smaller ones associated with this front.

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours securing everything that could take flight in the high winds we were expecting. It seemed we by God's grace were spared any damages.

She really wanted to shoot yesterday, but the day got away from us. So maybe after lunch and a short nap we’ll get to shoot some. It’s supposed to be a little warmer today, about 75*.

Got an old Tech Force 97 yesterday it missing some parts. I have found parts that will work. Plan on assembly to day and scope it and may shoot this afternoon. I have a scope stop for it just like the original. I ordered a new front sight assembly for it but it want arrive till Wednesday. Got a metal muzzle break and B3 barrel clip I'm going to try first. The recoil pad is missing and I ordered a couple of French surplus slip on rubber recoil pads made for the Mas 36 bolt action or Mas 49/56 semi-auto. Looks like it was made for the 97. The trigger guard is missing. I thinking a trigger guard for a Crosman Challenger. I's open at the back end but for now I fabricated a trigger guard out of an old B3 trigger guard that will be open at the back. I have two TF99's with the same trigger guard. One is cracked and I have never been able to find a replacement.

Plans for the day are to fix a vehicle I gave my son 4 years ago. He trashed it out and broke it thoroughly and has been sitting at the shop for 6 months while they were looking for parts.

I went to get get it last week and drove it home, found the parts on eBay in 10 minutes, installed them this morning and now I'm ready to bleed the brakes.

I just have to wait on the one man brake bleeding kit, it seems that people don't understand the concept of "open, close"! 😊😉😁

Good morning GTA! Up at 0430 CDST. This weekend was full of excitement and by the time we woke from a nap, Ayrabella wasn’t feeling good and had a fever. We spent the rest of last night tending to her and by bedtime her fever was going down. Hopefully, all will be well today. It’s Monday, back to the grind, another Starbucks’s PM. I’ll be glad when these PMs are done. We have PMs the beginning of every month, but dragging out hundreds of feet of water hose gets old fast. This week, my goal is to knock out my work and any chores that need to be done when I get home each day as long as there’s daylight so Ayrabella & I can call Saturday a range day for airguns.
