Good Morning GTA! Up at 0500 CST. Yep, I slept in. It's 36° right now but oh what a great day it will be. Yesterday I put a different set of rings on my R9 and also cleaned and polished the barrel. I hope and plan to shoot alot today. I have to tweak the zero at 30 yds, I got it close yesterday but it was windy.
Mornin...A week or so ago there was an accident at work. A forklift driver backed right out a dock door. He was not injured other than a sore neck from landing backwards on the ground below.... he rode it out. (Lucky guy, except for the fact that he failed the mandatory drug screen ). The forklift caught fire and burned to a crisp. I have seen a video of the actual accident because we have cameras everywhere... real scary video. I also have pictures of the burned out forklift.Anyways... the smoke came inside the dock area and there was alot of discoloring to many parts staged on racks to run on the production line and shipped to the customer (Hyundai). These parts all had to be inspected, cleaned and approved by the customer. The parts affected were the complete under dash and firewall (if you will) assembly. 21 racks of 12 large parts. Each part had to be unracked, cleaned, inspected/approved and reracked. I had the pleasure of supervising the task lucky me, huh? Then I had to monitor the parts through the production to insure they were tagged and kept separate from the non affected assemblies.I've spent the past 2 full days with 3 temporary workers (me on the forklift) completing the job.Today things should be back to normal
Wow Bill, scary stuff. So the Forklift hit on its counter-balance weight?LP or Electric? Were the forks still on the dock? Now with you being the Materials Mngr, was he a Material Handler that reported to you?Something tells me your head-aches ain't over on this one once the Safety Committee gets done.
I will give you this though....

Thanks, all the dryers I have worked on are super easy to fix. What kind of noise are you hearing? rattling, rubbing, thumping, squeaking, ...?

What kind of noise are you hearing? rattling, rubbing, thumping, squeaking, ...? Loud drone like semi tires on a freeway or like mower spindles with dry bearings when the washer motor is turning the load fast during rinse cycle. Otherwise all other cycles sound normal. Bill that could have hurt or killed several people. I hope that dope got fired for it. No excuse for that. Thankfully their not paying attention only costed a lot of aggravation instead of lives.
