-20F again, going to be a broken record the rest of the week with the cold weather. Boiling water immediately vaporizes and turns to snow at -20.

Up at 5, my one day off this week is tomorrow, I hope to get some pellets on paper and get a call into DAR for an update for you all as well as the status of my return label.

Got up and took care of the animals, well started to, fed the small dog and cat and scooped the cat box gave them all fresh water and started feeding the Great Dane. Hank the Great Dane has to eat in three courses of one 10oz cup with at least five minutes between, or he will barf it up, so we have to slow him down so it will stay down. Got my coffee.

I check the weather and forecast is "Today's temperature is forecast to be MUCH COOLER than yesterday." we are only going to have a high of 71 today. it's 69.5 on my back deck at 9:04 AM

I am approaching the 1/2 way mark through the day.

So far I have read, ate a couple meal periods, went to the lake and walked in the beautiful sunshine and cool temps, ran to TSC for chicken food and got skunked on the Winnie dome pellets AGAIN!  Their air rifle supplies are pretty much non existent anymore. 

Lunch was reheated minestrone soup and a latte’.  After lunch I set up some targets and shot the 22 cal 30, 22 cal R9,  Baikal MP-46M and the Wildcat.  It was pretty cold out and windy but I managed to sit out there and shoot for a long time. I finished up and put the guns away, cleaned up the targets from the yard and came inside and snacked on Triscuits, a cold latte (left over from sitting outside shooting in the cold), surfed the forums while sitting on a heating pad to warm up.   🥶🥵

Now I’m not sure what I’m going to do.  There are things that I could do or should do but I really don’t want to at this moment.  Busy work week ahead and the only times I’ll be at home are brief or to sleep so I really just want to hang out and enjoy being at home with my people since I won’t see them much this week starting tomorrow.

Good Morning GTA! Up at 0400 CST. I’ve got my Tuesday 0600 meeting, then going to Westville to change out a compressor for a cooler. Also have a 0800 meeting by phone, I’ll be in my van. Glad for the inside work. It’s 30* right now, having coffee and let the dogs out. It’s only supposed to get to 33*, and it sure is muddy everywhere.

Good Morning GTA! Up at 0430 CST. It's 53° now with a high today of 68° under mostly cloudy skies with winds NE at 4 mph. I'm planning on shooting today my RWS-460 .22 and my Browning Leverage .177.  Also I may sight in the Feyachi RDS-22 Red Dot Sight on my Hatsan Airtact.

43 degrees forecast is high of 62 and cloudy
The forecast ahead isn't too bad, a little rain coming...
My place is usually about 2 degrees warmer than the forecast high and two degrees lower than the fore cast low from this forecast, but as all weather forecast go it's still a guess.

Up 0500 (alarm) hustled to get out the door (with coffee in hand) and battled into work (freeway traffic 1hr commute) topped off the fuel tank at Costco right by the shop and now I’m sipping Java, reading 📖 and surfing 🏄. 

Work today, off at 3pm then start again tonight @ 11pm for a 24 hr shift.  One of two things will be.  Either the week will go by quickly or it will go by slow.  I have a 3 day weekend coming up starting Saturday night.  Looking forward to it already....

Learned a valuable lesson about skipping work:
I called in on my birthday and said I would not be going in to work.  I went for a bicycle ride in the country on that beautiful fall morning.  About 8 - 10 miles from home, I had a rear tire flat and no air pump.  I walked about a mile+ before finding someone with a small air compressor [actually, a fellow bicycle rider].  New tube and all aired up, I made it back home before noon.  I drove into town to the bicycle shop and purchased my first 'frame pump', ate a nice lunch, stopped by Lowe's, and drove home before my Judy got home from work. 
The moral of the story has nothing to do with skipping work.  But the next day in the break room, I didn't tell anyone of my adventure the day before. 


Oh, yeah, today's plans:  I had plans to hunt this morning.  Well, the mediocreologist, that is supposed to be the most accurate at forecasting the weather, missed again.  The raindrops are speckling the window here.  So, I will be staying warm and miserable today.

Was planing on doing some shooting....but have jurry duty instead!   Suppose the robots at work can wait another week or so to get done.   It's not like the pharmaceutical companies don't need them

Good morning GTA.  I woke up at 0415 CST this morning.  It's 47° out and foggy. Rain will possibly be here right after lunch. Temps will reach 75° with winds S @ 8.

We got a 1,000 piece puzzle in yesterday,  just in time for the rain this afternoon.

Yesterday I shot my 1-1/2" spinners yesterday with my RWS-460 Magnum .22. BUT what was different was they were at 60 YARDS.

YEP! That was a first for me.  I've tried with my other magnum springers but the 460 is the only one that I've been able to hit those small spinners consistently.  Using one Mil•dot holdover at 60 yds with scope sighted in at 30. Eight hits out of ten shots.

I did shoot a paper target at 60 yds but I waited too long. The winds picked up and on my last three shots landed a little to the left. Winds ESE @ 8 gusting to 15 mph. But still had a 1.119" ctc group.

Good Morning GTA! I slept in til 0515 CST. It’s been cold & wet out there and it’s supposed just keep getting colder. Today I’ll be on the roof, so I’ll dress warm, but not looking forward to it. Hopefully, a week from Sunday we’ll put the freezing temps behind us.

Outstanding shooting, Brother Dan! I bet you were tickled stretching it out with consistency like that. Boy, I can’t wait for warmer weather!

430 this morning, more of the same work from home.
I ran the printer out of ink the other day. Caused some drama for my boss. I mentioned that the printer is for printing things, but that didn’t help.
How many targets in an ink cartridge anyway?

Warming trend over night. -1 when I went to bed and 4 above when I woke! May see 20 today.

Dan that is good shooting, not sure I can see 60 yards! Looking forward to spring. Two of three sons have up to 50 yards to set up for some more interesting shooting.

Crawled out of bed at 6:30, miserable, painful night. Just one of those PsA moments, you never know when it will hit. Doom and gloom weather is not helping either, heavy fog and light drizzle this morning. Indoor projects for the day, clean and move shop toys around to make room for another shop toy. Just another exciting day on the wet, soggy frontier.

Morning all.  Cool and foggy today.  I took the dogs for a morning lope around the pasture.  I’ve had my first cup of tea and a smoke.  I’m on the late shift at work this week so I don’t go in until after 10 a.m.  Not looking forward to it for once.
The weather slows me down more now.  I commiserate with you Chris.  Look on the bright side,  we ain’t up there in the sub-zero north!
