Jim, if we ever got gas up on my mountain, I’d change to a furnace for the house and a Reznor for the garage. But since that’s not likely and I’ve seen what folks pay for propane up here, probably not going to happen for some time. Even at work, I really don’t like propane anyway. I am considering a ductless split heatpump for the garage, though, and a hanging electric heater in the corner by the door for when it’s really cold. Get rid of the window unit for AC in the summers. I’m hoping to get it done this summer.

My Hawke Airmax 2-7x32AO that I plan on trying on my R7 is about a 20 minutes drive from me.  I got this message when tracking my scope this morning.

Your item arrived at our HATTIESBURG MS DISTRIBUTION CENTER destination facility on February 6, 2021 at 1:48 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

Now one thing I can say about our postal service is that they are consistently inconsistent.  Based on past occurrences when a package reached this distribution facility this early in the morning four things have happened
1) the package arrived that same day
2) the package arrived the following day
3) the package arrived two days later
4) the package was sent to Gulfport then back to Hattiesburg where it is then sent to my post office for delivery the following day.

So today? Monday? Tuesday? or possibly Thursday.  Who knows.

I will be pleasantly surprised if it arrives today.

Awesome, Dan! The rain is upon us and it looks like temps are going to drop and rain for awhile. Mine says “on a truck”, not “out for delivery “. I shot the Parrus with the new Geo LDC and it doesn’t like it. I took the old Geo LDC from the Terrus and swapped them around. Both seem happy now. I’ll know more when the scope is mounted, I’m going to take a nap, LOL!

Today my wife and I worked inside and finished boxing up all the inside & outside Christmas things.
Now I have to find places to store all of this stuff.  I'll be working on the storage detail the rest of this afternoon.

It is fairly cold out side today... but......

No matter what winter is like in Minnesota...winter is Worse.... in North Dakota.

Especially with the almost daily Ground Blizzards.

The terrain is fairly treeless & flat and....The Wind ALWAYS Blows !  (Both in Winter and in Summer)

Everybody plants multiple..Shelter Belts in N.D.

Back in the 1970's, when I worked as a field service mechanic for Ingersoll Rand, I used to do service calls in N.D.

Harvey N.D. was where I usually stayed at because it was centrally located between the coal strip mines and the big power plant in Bechtel.

North Dakota gave me an education about Seriously Hard Winters.

The nap did it for me, Dan. Mine is here too. Wife woke me from my nap “it’s snowing”! I could feel the temperature dropping when I was shooting. I’m going to mount mine and zero it in.

Good morning GTA.  Woke up around 0400 CST managed to stay in bed until 0430. Too many wheels turning in my mind preventing me from going back to sleep.

It's 46° out but with the NNE wind whipping at 10 mph it feels like 40° (weather man).

After church and lunch temp should be in the low 50s so hopefully I will get the new Airmax sighted in on my R7.

Good Morning GTA! Up at 0500 CST, the big dog was barking at the back door while I was dreaming. I don’t remember what I was dreaming, but now we’re up. It’s 23* right now and only supposed to get to 38*. But I’ve got the scope on the Parrus mounted, loctited and pretty close to the bull at 30 meters. After Ch**ch, I’d like to at least get it zero’d.

Up at 5 AM to a horrible dream, the room was way too hot, seems the thermostat kicked on because the house was cold and we got the heat.

Wood boiler has gobbled up the wood I added last night and was hungry for more, so I fed it and now, finally, am having coffee. Off to work with my wife for another fun day.

BTW- #10 cans sure do make a nice target!

Weird night... I was awake at least once every hour. Stopped fighting it and got in the shower at 2am. Made coffee and rolled a couple packs of smokes. Been sitting in the recliner dozing in and out.
Betty Lou wants to go shopping in Andalusia today 35 minutes down the road.

I actually slept in until 6:00! Dog has been out, Coffee is made. Thermometer says "6"

Bill, those night stink! Wheels start turning and you cant put on the brakes.

 Today I am going to chil-ax around the family room with the dog as much as possible.
 I hear there is some football game on the T.V. at the Lodge but I have no desire to go.
