Good Morning GTA! Up at 0400 CST. It’s Friday, and unfortunately .... I’ve got a 2.5 hour ride to Jasper for my 1st call. That’s 5 hours round trip plus fix whatever’s broke.

Sounds like you're going to have a long day today. Sorry...

When I was at UPS I always tried to skip lunch and get home around 5pm but rarely happened.  Management knew everyone would work harder on Friday to get off early so they would often cut routes and load everyone up. It was usually around 7pm getting home on Friday.

It happens so often on a Friday. The other thing that often happens is what I call the 16-1700 drop. A customer will put in a call late Friday for fear of OT on the weekend. The office closes at 1700 and right before they do they put it on you when you were pacing yourself to get home at a decent time or before dark. Often the customer knew it was broke all week.

But I take it as it comes, the good with the bad. It’ll be a nice drive, and I get paid for it too. Maybe I’ll see the Elk out by Jasper. Maybe someday I’ll trade this for a 9-5. Or start a nutria/iguana hunting YouTube channel, LOL

Mornin, 4:50 out with the dogs, 7 degrees. They say 6”-9” Saturday into Sunday.

Another day being thankful for a job, work from home gets to me after a while. They had me “Emotionally Involved” for a while yesterday. I guess I balance out with the emotionless IT people. The year feels like it’s already slipping by.
I’m just glad it’s Friday.

Son #3 closed on his first house yesterday. Older starter home as my wife calls it. He is a carpenter so he will do a lot to it and by the time they out grow it and decide to move, I think he will do well. They won’t move in for another month and he had begun gutting the place moments after close. That boy is driven...gets that from Mom.

But more importantly, he has a good 50 yards for us to set up a range when the weather warms.

0700 wake up.  Coffee.  Read.  Ran errands to 3 places, Home Depot, Walmart, PetSmart.  Came home and cleaned the inside of my truck, blew the carport and driveway clear, cleaned the bathroom 🛀🏻, swapped laundry, shot my HW30S and just now put lunch together and ate. 

Now I’m surfing the forums for a few then I have to prep food and get my things together for 32 hours at work starting today at 3pm.  I won’t see my family until Sunday morning.  This happens often with my work. 

Daughter #2 (3rd oldest child) just called and said that she passed all her military entrance stuff!  Her plan is to join the Air Force reserves.  Hopefully I’ll get to congratulate her in person before I head out.

We are proud of her.  This will be another experience for her to learn and grow from with a sense of service for our nation.  I agree with you, she will get out of it what she puts into it.  I know that my time in the military was a positive experience for myself and helped me grow up some, which I needed.

Good Morning GTA! Up at 0330 CST. I didn’t intend to get up yet, but the dogs were staring at me to go out. Turns out the little dog wanted out and the big dog wanted my spot in the bed. And one of them left a surprise in the kitchen. They don’t do that often, so one of them must’ve ate something they shouldn’t have, probably the little dog. Oh well, I’m up having coffee and the wind is just ridiculous out there. Storms are going to be pretty strong today, probably won’t shoot much.

Good morning GTA. I woke up as 0220 CST but managed to fall back asleep.  It felt good to sleep till 0430.
I'm going to check the weather and I'll be right back.
Edit: I'm back, it's 35° and calm now but weather forecast shows winds in the double digits by 0800. It's forecast to be 68°, cloudy with SSE @13. Yesterday when the wind was just 3 mph I managed 1.437" ctc groups at 45 yds with my HW50 .22. My best ever at that distance with that rifle,  I was hoping to improve that but I have already found that double digit winds won't allow me to.

Betty Lou and Rambo went to bed before me last night. By the time I got there Rambo decided he wasn't gonna leave me any room. I went to the spare room and enjoyed a whole queen size to myself.
Got up about 30 minutes ago and fired up the coffee maker.
There is a $20,000 Bounty Hole event at my buddy's ATV Park today and I consider going but there are gonna be a ton of people there and I'm not sure if I need to be in that mess.

Today is Grand kid #7's 1st birthday. My Daughter requested my Chili for the party so I will be starting that about 9:30 and tending it all day.
Then the party at 5:00pm

Rumor has it we are going to get 6" of snow starting tonight into Sunday.
