My only other springer was a Gamo Varmint Hunter. I learned to shoot it enough to wipe out a colony of 13 stripe gophers the first year I had it, but I hated that thing. Then it mostly sat unused till this spring. I shot it some more and then gave it to my son.
He brought it over a few weeks ago and I cleaned an tarred it. Made it make less noise, but man I hate that thing. My son thinks it better than sliced bread. Good.

I ended up buying the HW30, and then the 95. The only regret is I didn’t buy a good spring gun 30 years ago. All the threads on the 50 lately have been making me weak, but I woke up with clarity this morning. Won’t buy another expensive gun this year, but cheap one or two might be fun.

An oversprung Hatsan May be good punishment for me.

I found, as a hack I won’t call it tuning, I like tinkering with my HW95. I have improved it a lot compared to how it came out of the box. I like the tinkering almost as much as the shooting.

I enjoy tinkering as well, I learned the basics of spring gun tinkering by tuning the refurbs from Field Supply and HatsanUSA.

I am a spring gun guy at heart, I don't see me ever falling down the rabbit hole.

I need a haircut, and I need to fix my Honda ES6500 Generator it has electric start and won't crank, I think a mouse may have chewed a wire in half, I will find the problem. It had been running poorly for my dad and he gave it to me and He had cleaned the carb, but I don't think it was done perfectly. I had ran it a little but decided to put a new Carburetor on it, I turned the key and nothing happened. The carb has no wires to it so it was a coincidence that it wouldn't crank after I changed it. One battery cable looks a little suspect too so I will start there. I did check the fuse first. 

I looked in the manual about the fuse and WHAT I could understand the mistake if it were not in two consecutive sentences. It had a good 15A in it.

-Dan, since I got the Parrus, I have been refining a definite plan for what I’m doing with my arsenal. Not thinning what I have, but where I’m going from here. I have 8 on my bucket list. I like the 8 I have, I almost thought of dropping one (Octane Elite), but decided I’m going to keep it. The Parrus is shooting so good as is, I don’t think I’m going to scope it. It feels good to pick it up without a scope on it. So, I ordered a rear aperature for the Octane Elite and I’ll polish the trigger. They’re going to be 24 FPE open sight brothers. I’m thinking of getting a Williams AG aperature on the Parrus after that. That’ll leave me a good scope that needs a rifle. Hopefully, the first off my bucket list (FWB Sport) will be here by the end of April.

Reading through some of these posts I find you blokes are just the same as us in the antipodes. Same foibles.
Just finished reading a book , for the second time, about a famous Maori chief Te Raupraha. Who was the principle chief in our area. An extremely influential man whose legacy is still apparent today. He died in about 1848. It is uncanny.
What happened here during colonisation was not honourable. I knew it wasn't but not with so much explicit detail that I know now. I wonder if I had taken the time to study our local history earlier, how it would have affected my working life.

We have just had a big article in the Dompost about guns in America. Seems to be the one thing that people hang on to as a certainty in troubled times. Golden years were supposed to be just that but are now a time of anxiety.

I just bought a new anchor from a trusted NZ manufacturer. There is nothing wrong with it but the same model, about 40 years old,  that it replaces is far superior in finish and workmanship.

So to validate my former comment I am off to the workshop to play with my airguns. You see " In the cup is no deception found"  Well " in  the trigger is no deception found."

I need to fix my Honda ES6500 Generator it has electric start and won't crank, One battery cable looks a little suspect too so I will start there. I did check the fuse first. 

It was easy, just got rid of the suspect cable and put a different battery in it borrowed from the John Deere L110. The battery that was in it measured 6 volts but had no load capacity. Then I had to adjust the throttle linkage because I put a Predator carburetor on it since I could not find a Honda ES6500 carb or rebuild kit. It runs like new now and Love the electric start! Now I need to take my dad his Predator generator so he can be ready if the power goes out at his house too. The forecast shows 25 mph wind on Tuesday, so it will not surprise me if SCE turns off my power but I'm still ready. I do need to go buy another battery, for now, this one will stay in the generator though.

I have a leaking overhead valve gasket on my mower that's making quite a mess lately around the engine so I need to get a new gasket and install it. May be from me using seafoam in the engine oil to clean out the deposits on the pistons. That will have to wait until Monday at this point.

GOOD morning,  I woke up just before 4:00 CST this morning and even though I wanted to sleep longer I got up. The thought of coffee is a strong incentive.

Today will after church and lunch the temperature will be in the upper 50s under sunny skies with winds WSW @ 10 mph.

I'm gonna shoot the HW50 if I get a chance. With winds gusting to 15 mph today I plan to just enjoy my spinners.

I am married too so plans can change.

I got a little SPA pistol/carbine PCP project going on so I plan to work on that today....

Dan, I buy all my carbs from Ebay. Way cheaper than repair parts from online websites. Rebuild kits are becoming the thing of the past for small engine carbs.

Good Morning GTA! Up at 0420 CST. I hope I don’t get any calls today. Yesterday was good, but I don’t feel like having to work today. Wife & I will go to Ch**ch today, but we’ll take separate vehicles, in case I do get called out. The 1/4" are bolted all around the rail about every 2 ft and the 1/2" are bolted to the floor (2 in front and 2 in back).

I looked at those.... I went to Tractor Supply.
My trailer is specifically for the ATV and Zturn. I decided to go with eye hooks on the top rails.
The trailer is square tube and has plastic end caps at all four corners. I can pop the caps off and drill the holes for the hooks and mount them.
I'm eventually going to put new wood in both trailers. I'll mount floor hooks then.
