Back to work this week, nothing in the traps this morning, waiting on the rain to get here. Nothing like rainy days and Mondays(Carpenters).

Good Morning GTA! Up at 0430 CST. It’s pretty cold again 24*, 18* with the windchill. I don’t have a call on the board for work yet. That could change when I call the office at 0800. I’ll get the little one ready for school and get her on the bus at 0700, so my wife doesn’t have to. My Parrus .22 is supposed to be delivered today!

Work from home will last to the end of this month at least. Meetings today.

But before that I will drop one of the dogs off at the vet for teeth cleaning. I told her as she sits here staring at me, that if she chewed her food all along, she would be eating now. Gingivitis, never had a dog that had such a problem.

Waiting for one more part for my HW95, a pivot pin for the link arm to replace the aluminum rivet they use. Glad I took it out, as it is 1/3 of they way worn through in 2,000 shots.

You may have told me already but what scope are you planning on using? First shoot it with open sights a while.  I like these iron sights. This target was with open sights at 20 yds.

FYI: the stock screws need Vc-3 thread lock as they WILL loosen in just a few shots.

Thanks, Lt. Dan. All my scopes are UTG (good ones) except the REX that I’m leaving on the XS60C, which is excellent on that platform. That said, I think I may get another UTG (upgrade) or a good Hawke for my AMO3, and take the UTG off the AMO3 for the Parrus. That’s going to take me a few weeks, so by your report & suggestion I’m going to be shooting the Parrus with open sights for awhile. I’m going to clean and prep that barrel (hopefully this evening) before I send even one pellet through it. I have plenty of pellets to choose from, but I’ve been amassing Crosman Domes & HPs as I have found them at Tractor Supply & Wally World, the past few weeks, just to have. I’m thinking of trying to get 500 of each through before I mount a scope & do a real pellet test for accuracy. Who knows, with open sights, it might even like the Crosman’s, both my Terrus & LGU like them, though they prefer AA & JSB respectively.

And I just got a call to go work on a freezer that’s leaking water. 2 things- 1) it’s inside, thankfully, because it’s freezing outside... 2) I can go to work and not have to wait by the window staring down the driveway for the big brown truck!

John I see you like the 2-16x44 UTGs. You must be having good service from them.
I just sent mine back. The objective lens became cloudy and when I looked, it appears some kind of power was floating around in there. Never seen such a thing before.

UTG's have been great for me. Nice reticle and lighting, if used. Just spend the extra and get the etched reticle what ever model you are looking at. They are A+ for the $ in my book.

Good morning all.

Breakfast first then some outside work day.

Yesterday I shampooed the carpets in the house and chipped all the ice from the driveway.
I then sunk some posts in the frozen ground for a ladder rack for my extension ladder.
Today I'm going to blow a path thru the snow to my sheds, out back, so I can stow my summer tires out there and retrieve a tarp to cover the ladder.
After that, I am going to re-secure some trim on my garage with screws. The nails have worked loose at the roof line.
This afternoon I'll be doing some sheetrock work in the boiler room and I will hang some new pictures up for my wife.

Good Morning GTA! It’s good to see you are well and active, Tom. Hope your wife is doing well also.
I got in later than I expected yesterday, but I did get to handle my new Parrus.22, then put it in it’s case.
Today I got up at 0400 CST, have my coffee and get ready. I have a meeting at 0600, a Zoom meeting at 0800 then work on a frozen refrigerator in Ft. Smith. I hope to get home early enough to clean & prep the barrel on the Parrus, so I can shoot it! It’s supposed to get to about 50* today!

Good morning.  Woke up at 0400 CST also John. Congratulations on receiving the Parrus John. And Tom it is good to hear more from you. We've been praying for you and your wife.   

Yesterday was not a good day on this hill to shoot, rain or drizzle plus the cold and 10 mph wind didn't help either. It looks like the sun will begin drying things out today, maybe after lunch I'll get to shoot some. John my afternoon temperature is supposed to reach 50° also.
