I was midnight (very late for me) getting to sleep but still woke up at 0300 but I managed to get back to sleep till 0500 cst. Started watching videos for disassembling the RWS-460 and T06 trigger. One video led to another and I just noticed it's after 0600.

Hopefully another pretty day to shoot the HW50.  I've decided to master or as near as I can the 25 yard range before moving out farther.  I did, just for giggles mind you, shoot a couple of shots at 50 yards. All I'm going to say is I wasn't disappointed.

Alarm, get dressed, pack lunch, heat coffee, add air to a low tire? (Checked others), say goodbye to sleeping wife, commute, read in truck at work, head into shop, reading GTA while finishing coffee (started at home) and mentally gearing up to head out into the weather.  It should be a good day!

Most of that is what I already DID.  ^^^^^^^^

Plans are to complete my job to the best of my ability, have a good attitude about it because I have a GREAT job, leave work behind at 3pm and make the commute home to my wonderful wife and great kids, hang out with my people, maybe get some shop time with the three youngest boys (making wood spoons), have a meal in there somewhere, maybe some hot tea or coffee along the way and pretty much just enjoy what I have been given and try to not take it for granted. 

I'll probably text a few family and friends sprinkled throughout the day as well.  We use text,quite a lot, to keep in touch with the daily lives of our family and friends.  Soon as I post this I'll be texting Mrs. Peterson to say "good morning!".

I did the same today and found a water leak rusting out the battery case so guys check your trail cams for leaks after rain and send them back for warranty replacement if so. You happy with your cameras Kris? This isn't the first time I've had this issue with Spypoint cameras. My Moultrie doesn't leak so far.

All my cameras are Moultries, I have had a few die over the years from thing or another. I will not own a any other due various issues or just plain to expensive when they do die. I have the new Moultrie XV-6000, so far the pics are great, the app for cell phones is a joke and the verizon up dates are a pain with it other than that, I like being able to check stuff without running in and out of the area all the time, plus I don't disturb the landowner in the process.

I canned the app and just check it the old fashion way, I hate txt and email notifications, I get enough garbage from work as it is. The app was locking up the camera and I would have to go out and reboot the camera to unlock it. Got rid of the app and got rid of the problem. Just one of the joys of dealing with electronics.

This morning to the stand, after that just letting the day unfold as it happens.

I didn't feel the best yesterday, I was suffering from a headache and cold symptoms.  That said I thought if I went outside and shot a few targets and spinners I would feel better. I did it didn't.

My head is still hurting so after coffee I will, as Kris said earlier,  just let the day unfold as it happens.

More work from home today. Meetings and smart talk.

I installed a 22 barrel on my HW95 last night. Brand new barrel, I gave it a clean and then polished it with JB.

I then began the break in process described by Hector. I ended at shot 70. Today it’s 10 shots and clean after every 10th. Will do that to 100 or so. Then I will keep shooting and see how it settles in.

With CPHP 14.3 I am getting 640-650 FPS which is what I expected with my clipped spring. Shot cycle and hold sensitivity seem the same as with 177.

I will work today too.

I am basking in relief today. Sold the free Suzuki quad yesterday after realizing I DID NOT ENJOY wrenching on 30 year old equipment and knew I'd get maimed or killed on it. The front wheels come off the ground WAY TOO QUICKLY.

Split the proceeds with The Missus and my buddy that showed up with a trailer to fetch it when the people gave it to me.

Back to air guns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning GTA! Last night I had way too much Taco Tuesday. Woke up 0200 CST, said no way, went back to sleep. At 0511 my wife’s phone was ringing, so I got up. Probably a weather alert or something, she never answered it. Today we’re supposed to get rain off & on, tonight 1”-3” of snow. We’ll have to let that unfold as it does, here in the NWA, weather can change its mind. I have a freezer I need a part for first thing this morning in St. Paul, then another Harbor Freight PM/filter change in Siloam Springs. It’s a new Harbor Freight that I wrung out last time I was there. Shouldn’t be that bad, new units, but it is all on the roof. We’ll see what the weather brings. ((Coffee first))

I looked up Prairie Grove wondering about the weather. A few years back, while in Tulsa visiting relatives, we took a road trip into AR and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We drove along this beautiful river and no one wanted to fish or canoe. I made up for that disappointment!

I .... Sold the free Suzuki quad yesterday after realizing I DID NOT ENJOY wrenching on 30 year old equipment and knew I'd get maimed or killed on it. The front wheels come off the ground WAY TOO QUICKLY.

Awe... you sold it? That makes me sad. But I understand.  I have never wrecked my 350cc Yamaha Moto4. I always ride conservatively but I'm sure I could flip it because it will fly. Also mine has a low range / high torque option and I leave it in that position 90% of the time so top speed in low range is probably only 20 to 25 mph.

I glad you're happy.  That's what matters.

Thanks Johnny, it is nice here, though the weather can be extreme in the summer and the humidity is always high. Thing about the waterways & lakes here is you have to keep an eye out for snakes. I hate snakes.

Honestly I like stabbing the throttle way too much and I'm 59 with aches from skateboarding, skiing, snowboarding, road bike racing, mountain biking and rock climbing.

I liked the 'idea' but in reality it was nothing but a heartache waiting to happen. Maybe we'll have some acreage some day then 'll get one but now I am still into burying my foot into the gas pedal.

I am aware of the slither factor down there. After begging around my buddy took me fishing in Pawhuska, OK, at a private pond loaded with fish, in the middle of August and I couldn't wait to get back in the car. Water mocs dropping into the pond and copperheads and sweat coming off my head and stinging my eyes. I am pretty sure Oklahoma has a special graveyard down there for stupid Oregonians, I reckon. I got out in time

I liked it there, small town, their parade consisted of about 300 people on horseback. Best parade of my life and I hate parades.

I was bitten by a copperhead moccasin when I was a child. I hate snakes as well.  When I was a teenager I worked on a fish farm where part of my job included killing snakes.  Years later I owned a NAPA Auto Parts and new owner of that fish farm contacted me and asked if I would consider coming to help reduce the the now out of control snake population. Apparently the workers would refuse to go into the water to harvest the fish with snaked swimming all around. I agreed to if he would pay me $1 per snake and he would provide the .410 ammo. He reluctantly aggreed but said that I would need to bring the dead snakes up to the hatchery.  I said no problem.   

I attached a large fish hook with the barb hammered down onto a long bamboo pole in order to retrieve the dead snakes. So armed with my .410 single-shot Stevens shotgun, a headlight, a few 5 gallon buckets, and the pole I asked a friend to go to carry the bucket and retrieve the snaked from the water. We waited until a couple of hours after dark to go. Before I tell you how many snakes I killed those two nights you need to know there were 74 ponds on that fish farm.

The first night after walking around those 74 ponds scattered over two hundred acres produced 158 dead snaked. The next night 147.  I don't remember how many buckets of dead snakes we carried to the hatchery but there were many.  Killing 150 a night may seem like an impossibility but if you do the math we were only killing 2 or 3 per pond.

The farm manager called and said I could come by and pick up my check,  he thanked me and said my services would no longer be needed. This was 1977, $305 was a lot of money then. LOL I was too productive apparently.

Yes John, I hate snakes, but the funny thing about it is out of all 305 snakes there were no poisonous snakes killed.
