Woke up, started a pot of coffee, did some push ups and sit ups.

I remember those days... dang, now all I can do in the morning is "stretch" and do couple windmills to loosen up and make sure I can still touch my toes.

‘Caniborrowsomeammo” asked me to apply for a muzzle-loader only hunt here in northern California next . My .54 doesn’t load the required non-lead (copper) bullets well so I bought the .50. The scope is just for the photo as we cannot use scope in the muzzle-loader “only” hunts. John will be using a peep and I will use open sights..

Another week. Good morning,  up at 04:45 ready to tackle the day.

Well I wondering where my scope is that I ordered from FDAR. Mike shipped it December 3rd. So if it's not here today I'm calling him.

My plan was to shoot my D460 at 50 yards today but the weather forecast is not favorable.  Looks like rain and wind and when the rain stops later today the wind will still be high, 12 - 15 mph.

Good morning everybody! I got up at 0400, it’s pretty cold out, we got about 4” of snow yesterday. I made it through my on call with no calls for work this weekend. I just have to make it through Wednesday and I’m back on vacation. I’m hoping they’ll drop the inventory lists so we can get that done today. Although, I’m never really looking forward to it, it has to be done.

Usually up by 3:30 AM at the latest. Today is running to a small town to drop off recycle stuff, top the gas tank with some non-ethanol, grab 6 or 12 of something (beer), wash the car for $1.00 (if I hustle). Maybe some cooking. More chef than baker,.. but thinking of giving some ginger snap cookies a go.

Wed. is 3-4 hour shopping. Friday is visiting elderly parents. That splits my "get out" time over the week.

It was a heavy wet snow. It’s now 23*, so it’s frozen. Good thing I shoveled the driveway & sidewalk just before dark while it was easy & not frozen. The branches are hanging pretty low it’s so heavy. It’s going to be a slow drive to Harrison, I’m sure, we don’t have much by way of snow plows here. I’ve got 3 ways to get off my mountain, all downhill of course and covered in ice. I’ll take the least steep route & keep it in 1st gear.

In Ohio, we would call that a "light dusting".    Is that some grass I see poking through?

I love the snow and that Arkansas gets it before we do is a ripoff. I want my money back.

Same up here in NW illinois. i agree that is crazy the amount and how far south. Usually there is no worry until the word blizzard is used around this way haha. Great pictures i agree also.

Thanks John, my wife loves to see snow. We may get something like that a couple of times a year every few years but it would always melt in a day or so.

I know it, I’m from NJ and lived in Upstate NY also. When my first son was born in Glens Falls, NY we had accumulated 4 foot of snow on the ground over a few weeks and got a foot of snow the day and night before I drove my wife to the hospital (from Lake George in a 1976 Camaro!) and thought nothing of it. Here they don’t know how to treat or clear the roads and we don’t get much snow that often. But it happens, and we’ve gotten a lot more than this several years ago.
