1500.00 Sheridan?

Here is a Sheridan, IMHO not worth that amount of funds,

Does have a very nice buttstock, but the matching forearm is missing............

  Guess I need to have a top grade stock and forend made for mine along with the steroid kit.     Then it would be worth a ton.

This one has been posted before, I remember the " best wood ever " in the listing.been a few months, so I'm guessing it means the gun is probably not worth $1500 to anyone.

Am I wrong or is the forearm not original to this rifle ?
I thought a high comb 50's rifle would have a slimmer forearm.

.... yeah.... that ain’t no supergrade... looks like a different forearm on there to me... either that or the stock had a lot of marring that’s been polished smooth... with way, no Bluestreak is worth that much to me lol

    I wouldn't  sell my non working  blue streak for 5k .  But my grandfather  and dad bought  it for me for Christmas as a kid and besides  the game and pest shot it has a lot of sentimental  value to me.

Forearm could be a mismatch but it's probably a 1961-62 BS

First year of the beaver tail forarm was 1961 and the last year of the thumb safety was 1962.  I had one with the same set up but plain straight grain walnut.

  It would take a little more investigating to be sure , but I see it as a 57-early 59. High comb stock, trigger guard attached with 2 screws, rear sight with one screw & 2 dimples , & it does have a later beaver tail forearm.

It's beautiful wood, I think I've seen this one before on ebay.  Probably can't get anyone to choke that kind of money for it.

It's certainly not original, either.  I'd say the wood has been refinished (wouldn't matter to me, it's beautiful), and it looks like it has a Mac1 steroid end plug (also wouldn't matter to me because I have one of those and they are way better than the original aluminum ones).  For that kind of money, though, you'd want it to be that beautiful AND all original.  Even, then, you'd probably rather spend that money on a Supergrade.

Edit:  DOH!  I just went back and read the description and he mentions everything I said above.  Oh well...
